Chapter 100
“Wretched tools!” said Vendire as he commanded most of his mele skeletons to move back, letting only those with range abilities and attacks to rain hell upon Reigar. However, as it looks, Reigar looks to be unfazed by the pests attacking him.
“Unholy blight!” summoned Vendire as a miasma of dark energy shot forward corroding stone itself!
“Holy radiance!” roared Reigar as a gust of divine energy shot from his shield and pierced the incoming dark smoke, then instantly purged it from the world.
Vendire seemed to be a bit annoyed as he was forced a bit back. Reigar would take the chance to close the gape while Vendir would float backward dodging the rays of light forward forcing Vendire to a continuous retreat.
Vendire’s minions continued to grow stronger by the minute, but Reigar didn’t bother with them for a moment, he just chased the summoner as once he dies they all die.
“Vendire! Let us help!” I said
“None shall come forth else you will suffer my wrath!” said Vendire without giving us a glance.
“What do you think Daiki? Does Vendire have a chance?” asked Haru who looked a bit worried.
Well, I don’t blame him, Vendire is a strong ally and he proved it with his abilities and intellect. However, that man clearly has a great advantage over him. Fully neutralizing Vendir’s attacks and rendering his minions useless thus far.
“You never were able to defeat me Vendire! Admit your inferiority” said the Lichbane as he roared channeling attack after another.
“That was in the past, brother! Your brutal ways were never looked highly upon.” Said Vendire as he sent more shots of dark bolts charging toward Reigar.
Reigar didn’t bother to dodge as he just slightly raised his shield forward blocking the attack then smirked saying
“And look at our ends! You're meant to rot in hell while I rose to the high heavens! I claimed the third spot as my home and will forever remain above you Vendire!” he said as he sent his sword flying toward Vendire at a frightening speed!
Barely managing to dodge the missile-like projectile Vendire shot hundreds of rays of dark arrows toward Reigar whose shield shrugged all of the attacks off as if they were nothing.
“Come back!” he said as his sword disappeared from a distance and appeared in his left hand.
With a squat that forced the muscles on Reigar’s leg to bloat, he jumped forward, ferociously so that the pillar he was on broke from the power behind his legs.
Shooting like a meteorite he moved forward, his shield held upfront blocking all projectiles from harming him while his sword aimed directly at Vendir’s heart.
“This is your end Brother! Vow of Silence!”
You are in the range of the ability
Vow of Silence.

No skills can be cast in this area, all channeled spells will be stopped
Duration 15 seconds.
“Shit! He won’t make it!” said Haruka as fear was apparent on her eyes, even the Thornes that were crawling forward and trying to stop us from going to help Vendire shriveled up and died in an instant
The aura around Vendire instantly disappeared and he became unable to cast any spells and unable to maintain flight.
“Shit!”
In a moment, the flaming sword of Reigar pierced through the chest of Vendire and they both crashed into a nearby rising pillar.
Impaled by the sword Vendire was unable to move while Reigar could only laugh like a madman that just attained victory over his arch-nemesis.
“Today you know of your inferiority Brother!” he said as he laughed menacingly.
Vendir could only cough out a mouthful of black blood and dust.
“Brother, even after all those years, your crude methods have never changed.” He said while a smirk was plastered on Vendire’s face.
Instantly after that vendir threw his staff while a dark demonic dagger appeared in his right arm, without a second to waste he swung his dagger with all the energy he had left.
It was too fast too subtle and too immediate to dodge or counter. Reigar’s throat was slit in a second while he was unable to do anything.
Vendir’s body began to crack as the holy fire was too dangerous against undead creatures.
However, at the same time, Reigar began to cough out blood as the slit in his throat forced blood to gush from it ina gruesome manner. He was slaughtered while trying to secure a kill.
“If you hadn’t used that silencing spell, you could have probably been able to use an ability to heal yourself from this small cut. However your brought your own death.
Said Vendire as he forced the body of Reigar off of him with his remaining hand. The moment Reigar fell to the other platform he tried to stop the blood from flowing, but Vendir’s minions didn’t give him the chance as they ganged up on him with their weapons and finished him off.
None of us received any experience point as we didn’t assist vendir in his fight but.
You have managed to defeat the third circles, Guardian
Reigar the Lichbane.
All rewards for defeating the boss of a celestial dungeon shall be given once you leave the dungeon.
Vendir’s crumbling body began to restore itself soon after by using the death aura that was surrounding him, he then soon removed the sword that was impaling him on the pillar.
“That was… brutal” I said as I got closer to the body of the now dead Reigar.
“Indeed, he was brutal and that was the fastest way to kill him, trying to with the Hp of an enemy until they die is an idiotic idea, landing a fatal blow can end even a god’s life with a single hit.” Said Vendir as he moved away from the corpse of his dead brother not even sparing him a second glance.

“Loots!” said Haru as he approached forward yet before he could even touch the shield and sword they disappeared in a golden light.
“Noooo!” he cried out
“Those weren’t material things brat. Those were his soul weapons” said Vendire as he tried to explain.
“That man changed his own soul to become something like that, a sword and shield able to deflect and destroy dark magic. Once he dies, the weapons themselves die with him.”
“Agh, what a stingy boss, that equipment would have been a great upgrade, sigh” cried out Haru as he ignored the fading corps
“Now let's move forward. We have nothing to do here, the next circle is up ahead” I said as I jumped from platform to another.
Everyone followed in silence after that, no one tried to ask Vendir for the reason why he wanted to fight his brother alone, and no one dared to ask. Family feuds need to be solved between family members… even if the end turns out bloody, none has the right to interfere.
You have successfully cleared the circle of faith
Accessing the fourth circle.
Circle of Salvation.
Once I entered I saw a completely different scene from before, where we were now standing on a giant floating bridge that looked to be built upon the clouds.
It looked like the back of a giant eastern dragon, that looked to extend to infinity.
Giant white pillars were planted on the sides of the bridge, and looking down one could see no end to the vast skies.
“Where is this?” asked Haruka
“… We are at the lair of angels” said Shara who looked serious for once.
“What do you mean?” I asked
“This is the floor where angles live in, and a troublesome one at that too… Well, we were going to have to pass by here anyway, but this is going to be a really troublesome floor Sigh…”
“Do we move forward then?” I asked
“Yes, at the end of this bridge we will find the Kingdom of heaven… and Michael… the Archangel who drove me down the pits of hell…” she said as she gritted her teeth forcing the name of that angel out of her mouth with struggle.
“Anyway, let's hurry up, the bridge dweller will soon be upon us”
“Bridge dweller? What is that?” asked Haru as he looked around “There doesn’t seem to be anything here.”
“For now, there is nothing, but if we stay here too long you will find out, no one should try to take flight outside the bridge’s perimeter if you do you will be forced to fall down no matter your strength. There is a huge vacuum that pulled anything that falls out of the bridge down. We should hurry” she said as she grew two pairs of wings and bolted forward.
“Well you heard her, I said as Vendire floated and burst forward.
Without waiting for a command the same comic scene was once again displayed where Haruka and Misaka were both grabbed by Nemu’s hands and Haru was forced out of the floor from his leg by Nemu’s tail
“Unfair!!!” he shouted as the three of them bolted forward.
I agitated mana and forced my body to turn to dark smoke then flew forward catching up to all of them.
“What is this Bridge dweller?” I asked as I floated covering all my companions.
“It is a beast, with almost infinite Hp and no damage whatsoever. It just charges forward from the rim of the bridge to the other end, if we end up facing it we will be forced out of the rims of the bridge into the vacuum and will die in a matter of seconds.
“So, its like we are being chased by a train, and if we stop we will either be crushed or forced out of the way to fall down to our deaths… can’t we fly over it and wait for it to pass?”
“No, the moment you try to do that you will be forced out of the bridge, it has many magical restrictions on its back to make sure that no one tries that.
“Then once it reaches the end of the road, does it turn around?”
“No, there is a magical circle at the end of the bridge, the moment the beast reaches there, it sends it to the other side of the bridge to start all over. In all, it will always move forward and will always be moving in a straight line. If we are lucky it should be before us… if we are not…” said Shara yet before she could continue a loud screech was heard behind all of us.
Turning around we saw a behemoth of a creature moving forward at a ridiculous speed.
It looked like a giant black worm, it had a giant mouth with hundreds of rows of teeth and moved forward without stop.
“It should be behind us! RUN!!!” said Shara as she bolted forward
“Holy Shit that thing is ugly!!” said Haru as hew as the only one upside down and the view for him was much more vivid than ours.
“Ah crap!” I said as I looked behind me, How the hell does something that big manages to move that fast! There is no time to think about that though, We must run!
To be continued...

His eyes had turned bloodshot and his hands shook with rage. “The first thirty…” “Shut up!” Genzo bellowed “How dare you help these disrespectful gaijin?” Flecks of spit and madness flew from his face, his fist raised ready to strike. But Emi did not flinch, instead she was about ready to continue when Yuma Takeuchi interrupted her. “Uchida, please,” her sweet sounding words could melt ice. “I think we will have a better chance of getting home if we all work together.” When she glanced up with her sleepy looking eyes at Genzo Uchida he deflated visibly. “Were not getting home.” Uchida said coolly. “Group summoning, large, that puts us in the 60 series. No one came to greet us after five minutes of arrival. That leaves scenarios 68 and 69. In scenario 68 there is something that binds the large group together; they are all classmates or a single family. But thanks to the gaijin” he spit out the word “I think we are scenario 69 with no way home.” Ikko Inoue’s eyes went wide, while Katsukno and Hayata started muttering to themselves. Tim took on a serious look and rubbed his scruffy chin. Emi maintained her stoic expression while trying to find something to refute. McKenzie glanced at Randall and giggled. Randall took the prompting of his teammate and followed up by approaching Genzo. “Uh, so we are in a sixty-nine?” “Yes.” Replied Genzo with the seriousness of someone who’s life was about to end. McKenzie covered her mouth and snickered. “You and me, were stuck in a sixty-nine situation?” Randall pushed with a grin. “Yes, we are all stuck in a sixty-nine scenario together!” Genzo retorted in anger. McKenzie fell on her butt laughing. “What the hell is so funny?” Demanded Genzo, whose face had turned red. “It’s a problem with the automatic translation.” Retorted Tim. Randall, who seemed unable to quit started in again “So, about this sixty-ni…” Genzo interrupted Randall with a swift punch to the face. But, because of their height difference it was a bit of an uppercut that left Randall rattled. Tim and Ikko moved to step in between the two, but Genzo showed no further hostility. Instead he just stared at his clenched fist with such intensity it grabbed the attention of the room. “I unlocked a skill.” He said bluntly. ***************************** This is not a light novel, but people who like light novels should enjoy the themes of this book. ***************************** A Map of the Region
