Chapter 37
At long last I woke up from my sleep, my body feeling refreshed, no longer is it in pain or suffering. And few more notification followed.
Payment
You have fulfilled your due, the time to pay your debt has ended. Use what you gained to bring down your foes.
The titan matter had fused into your being, modifying your structure on a cellular level.
Your body had changed to adapt to your newfound powers.
Feel my pain.
You have suffered through arduous and painful treatment that your body gained the ability to translate a portion of the pain you felt around you.
You have gained a new ability
Metamorphosing Blade
Metamorphosing blade
(cost 100 mana/s)
Rarity
Legendarily Unique.
level 1/10
Metamorphosing blade, a weapon of one’s imagination, derived from the need of the user, it changes shape to suit the situation, becoming a blade or a sword, a battle axe or a Warhammer, even a spoon, it matters not, what the users wills it, it shall transform into.
Base damage increased to 10% using the metamorphosing blade.
I tried the spell, and a small ball appeared within my palm. I don’t know how it is supposed to work but I thought about its former shape, it looked like a small dagger when it was within Kronos’s eye. And it instantly changed into it.
A moment later it changed into a three feet saber. Then a shield, then anything I thought about…
This is most impressive. Though I should test the limits of such an ability. Its drain on mana is enough to make its usage to be weary of. So I should use this with caution.
“Thank you for the gifts but the problem persists, how am I to negate the effect of Decay? You said the item will help. How so? And also, how much time did I stay unconscious?”
“You passed out for more than four months of your human calculation. As for the way to prevent the effects use the skill you gained to coat your hand, it is a piece of me, a piece that is not ruled by time. It shall not age or wither…”
…it’s better than nothing really.
I imagined it becoming a glove and it did, a smooth leather like glove…what an amazing thing to have.
“My speech has ended, and my words are said, you shall leave now and the choice to help is yours to make. If you wishes to challenge the ones from above then go for it, if not it is still your discussion, none shall judge you for what you had chosen, it was not your fault to begin with…Now leave. Our faiths are on your hands…do what you see fit”
The one eyed Titan then summoned a gigantic wormhole that began to slowly drag me down.
“Will this take me back to where I came from?” I said
“No, it shall take you where you are needed.”
Huh? Needed, the bastard tricked me! I thought I was going to leave this place! Damn it!!

The wormhole sucked me in, and threw me where I came in from…

Unspecified race.
Hmm not much remain here to be done, quite the interesting abilities but still…this level limit is destroying me…
Looking at the black entrance of the dungeon I can’t fathom the time spent here, probably the time limit for Annwn’s arrival had passed, I should head back to the castle…
I then began to walk, and decided to try to use the well of souls to test if the limit is still on me.
And it worked, the well opened and the vortex sucked me in. I soon found myself near the entrance to the palace of bones.
Approaching it I found rubble and destruction, it must have been the work of that black demon…
The palace stood no more, and so I moved forward looking around there was nothing to be seen, only debris, like ages had passed since the last time I was here…it seems that I was not well suited to ruling this place…

A demon soon appeared from within the rubble, he rose slowly screeching and screaming to the skies above, declaring his might to those that are near its presence, yet his might fades compared to mine, probably few months ago I would have considered escaping, but it is not the case anymore.
I shadow stepped towards it, binding both his hands with the chains and forcing it to its knees, before it could even register what happened to it, I used the metamorphosing blade to transform it into a spear and shoved it deep within its still opened mouth penetrating its skull instantly.
Fatal damage.
Hell demon
Level 450
Instant kill.
It faded to nothingness after it irrupted in a smokeless flame.
I then kept walking forward, only to find a shimmering floating object. It looked like a crystalized drop of water. Though a bit big.
I grabbed it with my hands and a notification soon followed
Tears of an angel.
The blessed creatures dies not, they change form into a crystal to be reborn anew.
Quite vague, but it seems that she died…
I must have spent a long time away from this place…
I pocketed the tear in my inventory and decided to head out.
Yet before I did so, I felt the need to do one last thing.
I willed the walls of the palace to rise again, and they did almost instantly, the palace began to reconstruct and the things that were once destroyed mended back.
“Who dares transgress into this place!” roared a beast I know the voice of.
I turned around to see the black demon in front of me, in his might and imposing power I knew that he is as dangerous as he was that time, yet I am not the same.
The demon disappeared, yet I knew where he would emerge, I evaded using the hunter’s skill, and managed to dodge the landing spear. I then swung my right chain onto his spear and pulled hard enough that he felt compelled to pull on his weapon. Once he did I used another shadow step to knee him in the face, reconstructing his jaw as his teeth broke. Though some pierced my thigh it dealt none-significant damage.
Another shadow step and I pulled on his left leg forcing it to stumble, yet without giving him pause I shadow stepped over his head and used a chained wrapped fist to punch the back of its head. Empowered by soul surge he met the ground with an enormous thud.
He was stunned
I landed on its back, and my hand transformed into one of a beast, a claw of monsters ripped through his back. This was the hand of Ravana’s skill activating.
The demon roared from pain as he exploded in a black flame trying to burn me with it.
Yet I dodged easily knowing that if I was to be touched with that flame I will lose the fight.
The black demon rose slowly, angered with my assault and his inability to deal any damage to me.
He put both his hands together summoning that black flame.
The shot was fired, and I decided to shadow step, yet I couldn’t move
You have been Paralyzed
What?
It seems that the teeth of that demon held paralyzing effect.
“Redemption!”
Seeker of salvation make do with what you are given.
You have fully restored your HP.
All debuffs have been removed.
Your redemption will last for
60 Seconds
Though I was able to remove the paralyzing effect I was unable to dodge in time. So I instantly willed the metamorphosing blade to change into a shield. And it did so, a shield big enough to block the flame.
Yet before it would dissipate I appeared in front of the demon, and with an uppercut I struck him, until he rose to the skies.
“Soul projection! Mezu!”
I projected the soul of the guardian Mezu into play, to which he appeared and struck instantly with both his arms at the still surprised demon. Crushing him to a pulp. He then disappeared and I swung my chain around the barely conscious demon. Pinning him down I began hacking at it, slashing and cutting his fiber. My speed increased and my power doubled, my blood began to boil and my hands began to glow in red.
Savagery activated as he was being sliced down into little pieces, critical strike after critical, my hands became those of a beast while I slashed at the now screaming demon.
Once everything was done, I rested upon the corps of a dead beast.
His body dissipated and his energy faded from the world…I became strong…yet why do I feel so empty?
This is the strength I sought long ago, yet it still feels unfulfilling…
This demon did me wrong once, now it lays dead without motion…disappearing to only leave a small black flame…
You have slain an enemy of more than 400 level above you.
Calculating rewards.
+200 to all stats with the exception of luck
+1 000 000 Xp
I wonder where his army is at. I am sure that the fallen angel would have been more than capable of defeating this one…it seems that she fell fighting them all…or something else happened…I don’t know what though, this one seems far too weak to pose any threat to her…
Now I look at the throne of bones I willed it to become smaller. My task is done, and I am back to where I started, I took the throne and sat, waiting for things to unfold. The ruler over this realm said that he should be back in a year time. Though I don’t know how much time had passed, I think that it will not take longer…
So i waited...

Ancient Bones: The Changed Ones book 1 (Post-Post Apocalypse LitRPG)
Is it truly an RPG Apocalypse... if no one can see the RPG? Generations after the Fall, Mankind has achieved a balance in a world it is no longer the master of. But your prospects in this Malthusian world are limited. Johanna Milton and her friends have an answer: delve into Ancient ruins, avoid Changed beasts and mana pockets, and salvage Ancient materials, collectibles, and trinkets to sell. It pays well if you avoid the perils of the Ancient world. But when they find the skeleton of an Ancient, their lives take a strange turn. Suddenly, Talents straight out of fantasy novels become theirs. While they try to make sense of what happens, eyes turn to them, to the four who seem to break all rules. Or are they merely following them? Because, in the Beyond where he's spent 150 years waiting, one dead Ancient knows the truth. Douglas Moore has played those games often enough when he was alive to make sense of the System that rules the Changed world. He can no longer act on his own, but he has access to the Interface. And four people for which he can bring whatever it takes to face the world. Change is coming. The Changed Ones is a slow-burn litrpg fantasy trilogy (Ancient Bones, Ancient Books, Ancient Bonds) set on Earth, 150 years after the RPG Apocalypse... which mostly failed. It is an homage to the venerable ancient RPGs of the Golden Box era, the Baldur's Gates, and many others, offering adventure where You must gather your party before venturing forth. Keywords: LitRPG, realistic setting, low-leveling, post-post-apocalypse, fantasy earth, slow-burn, secondary POVs, female primary MC, team adventure, worldbuilding. Trigger warnings: casual swearing, adult innuendo (no explicit scenes whatsoever, though). Oh, and potentially a bit of politics. Bonus content: a Litrpg Easter Egg hunt. With lots of eggs across the book, some easy, some hard to find. Current score: 6/20 (20 eggs, 6 found) Publication schedule: on hold until September for book 2.

Sector 27
It wasn't until June 3, 2101 that World War 4 ended. This was not a war that ended in peace treaties or truces; this war ended with disease. The atomic war caused plague and disease that crippled major countries. The generals and great leaders of the countries at war died from the radiation that penetrated every part of the globe. It was only then that humanity realized what they had done- what they had created. The first ever mutant was publicly executed the very day the war ended, and a new war began: the war against mutants. The surviving nation of Japan quickly rebuilt their country by dividing it into safe zones, or Sectors. There are currently 26 livable sectors in Japan; Sector 1 is the richest sector and the only sector that has completely rid itself of all radiation left over from the war. In fear against the threat of mutants, the once small section of the police force grew until it became the main police force in Japan. After all, humans shouldn't be blamed for crimes when the real threat to society is mutants. This police force that goes by their motto: Special Treatment Against Mutants (STAM) is comprised of agents that go about their work to capture and detain all mutants. Sector 26 is the poorest sector that humans can barely survive in; but there is one more part of Japan. This "dead zone" has such a high concentration of radiation that if a human were to step inside the barrier, they would die in mere moments. But within this dead zone, this 27th Sector, there lies a secret organization of mutants that fight against STAM and protect all mutants from their grasp. The Mutant Recovery and Protection Agency (MRPA) operates to hide mutants in society and allow them to live human lives. The only thing that stands in MRPA's way is STAM and its agents who hunt them down ruthlessly, so MRPA has their own set of skilled agents. And the battle rages on...
