Immortal Humans (A. aeternalis) live as symbiotes on the sunplate of Vast Worldbeasts (I. Sicuterrae) and share the majority of their range with their host. They rely on the Worldbeast’s acceleration to maintain contact with the surface and the distance it maintains from a feeding star for temperature regulation and food production. A. aeternalis is by far the most populous species of genus Anthropo. However due to the scarcity of their symbiotic niche this still puts them at a near threatened status.
A. aeternalis further subdivide into sub species by the individual World beast they inhabit, note that the content of this article has mainly been based of studying the Anthropo aeternalis terraiensis subspecies.
They use legs for movement as well as to maintain appropriate distance from the surface giving them a perpendicular posture to the plane of the Worldbeast’s sunplate.
The legs are attached to a central body with two arms with hands and a single head sprouting from the body at the most distant point from the worldplate surface. Movement is accomplished by shifting the point of support rapidly letting the main body act as an inverse pendulum, and then moving the leg again to intercept the motion and maintain distance. This type of locomotion is referred to as bipedal.
Humans have a blue and yellow or orange coloration with various mottled pattern as well as ratios that vary between individuals. The distal end of the head features much longer nonfunctional spore fibres that often expresses memes carrying social significance. Large portions of the skin are often covered in soft tools replicating some functions of feathers.
They have a single central brain with advanced specialized cortices for visual processing, prayer, auditory processing, resonance communication, and motor function. Social, long term memory, and executive functions are handled entirely by a symbiotic species of spirit (Meo anthropoiensis) called a Soul. Humans cannot function without a soul of this exact species and likewise the soul species is completely dependant upon human hosts. The symbiosis of these two organisms together qualify by most official standards for sapience and generality.

Humans have periods of inactivity but during their waking periods they are capable of tool use and creation. They have several well-developed communication methods where they use both gas vibrations and Song to transfer information with full generality and to coordinate individuals into functioning units and societies making them a viable trade partner. They have cavities behind the face as well as around the spinal cord housing resonance symbiotes, and these are compatible with housing most standard strains with a moderate amount of tuning.
They are generally omnivores. To produce food, they perform agriculture in the form of large fields with Monocultures of selected grassess. Humans primarily harvest starch and protein-rich seeds from these monocultures, although variations on this behavior do occur and are not indicative of species. They have domesticated pets that they feed on residues of cellulose from the grasses and later slaughter. Most food is pre-digested using heat external to the body to help remove pathogens and increase calorie conversion, then is further processed by ingestion.
A. aeternalis habitually form small social structures for the purposes of reproduction and rearing of young. There are two genetic donors to each offspring and while the parents can be greatly involved in the rearing (especially the mother) it is generally a community endeavor to raise each child through the use of peer cohorts and trusted elders to assist in child care. Expression of male or female fertility can vary with individual as they mature. This fertility imbalance can be culturally significant. But is not always.
As hermaphrodites, they have adapted the spore fibres of other Horribilomorbus into Male gametes. However unlike other members of this class the transfer success rate is highly subdued, requiring prolonged contact of the skin with compatible individuals of the same species. Fetal development takes place within the mother as in other placental mammals. Even after birth, the children are dependent on parents' care and are like all other true mammals, nurtured on milk produced in the specialized glands of the parent's skin.

After the initial infant stage A. aeternalis development can greatly diverge. If a M. anthropoiensis moves into the host development can be comparatively short. When a preexisting M. anthropoiensis symbiote is not available the mother's will spawn a new one and development can be delayed significantly as to sync with it's considerably more demanding cognitive growth.

Hazelsong: A LitRPG Novel
Release Schedule: I will be moving to a set release schedule as of 1/1/2022. A new chapter will be released every Saturday at Noon EST. If I have time that week for a second chapter, I will leave a note on the Saturday chapter and post the second chapter on Sunday at Noon EST. An up to date character sheet for the MC Erik will also be posted on Sundays at 12:15 PM. If life happens and I am for some reason unable to write that week, I will post a blank chapter giving you an update on where I am with my writing. Saturday Noon EST: First weekly chapter Sunday Noon EST: Second weekly chapter (if I have the time) Sunday 12:15 EST: Updated character sheet Synopsis: Years after surviving a deadly accident, Erik struggles to come to terms with his painful disability. When offered the chance to playtest the world's first full immersion VRMMO, he wants nothing more than to retreat back into his secluded life, until he learns what Hazelsong really offers. An escape from the pain. Hazelsong is a world of magic and adventure, a place where friendships are formed, loot is won, and glory and fame are there for the taking. While the threats feel real and the stakes are always high, there is only one thing Erik is really in danger of. Forgetting which world is actually real. Story Themes: Hazelsong is a LitRPG novel that not only explores the fictional world of a realistic online fantasy realm but the life of a man suffering in silence from chronic pain and PTSD due to a significant physical injury and disability. Mental health is an important subject and we all know at least one person in our lives who has or is dealing with some form of mental illness. I plan on putting my best effort forward to represent these illnesses in a fair and accurate manner. Not as a cheap plot device to help make the protagonist more unique, but to help paint an accurate picture for those of us who have been lucky enough to not have to suffer in silence. About the Author: I am Ash Durra, general video game nerd and a connoisseur of fantasy and sci-fi of all shapes and sizes. Needless to say, I am not a professional author (B.S. and M.S. in Education, 8 years teaching). After really getting into LitRPG novels over the past several years, I found my way to Royal Road, which has inspired me to use my spare time to begin writing a story of my own creation. As this is a hobby, I am not writing and posting chapters on any kind of specific schedule at the moment, though my goal is to post on average 1-2 chapters a week. I am incredibly excited to share this story with others as I write it, and I look forward to any constructive feedback about how I can improve in my writing.

Robinson Crusoe (Completed)
Robinson Crusoe is a novel by Daniel Defoe, first published on 25 April 1719. The first edition credited the work's protagonist Robinson Crusoe as its author, leading many readers to believe he was a real person and the book a travelogue of true incidents. Epistolary, confessional, and didactic in form, the book is presented as an autobiography of the title character (whose birth name is Robinson Kreutznaer)-a castaway who spends twenty-eight years on a remote tropical desert island near Trinidad, encountering cannibals, captives, and mutineers, before ultimately being rescued.

Namely, surviving the Tower and its homicidal salamanders and zombies and weirdly affectionate cats, and learning the truth behind the existence of the amulet titled "The Writer's Secret". Cilian isn't particularly athletic, given he spent six years glued to a computer chair, and the Tower can only give him so much strength before he's considered a lost cause, and he's not prepared in the slightest for this. He's a bit weak, he hates killing, and spends more time screaming than he does actually fighting, but if there's one thing he's got going for him, it's his impressive self-perseveration skills.
