“How many Main type supers are left in Korea?” A voice asked Emily.
“What?” Emily said feeling weird. She fell really weak and tired.
“How many American Main type supers are there left in Korea?” A man in a North Korean officer uniform asked Emily in English with a really good Mid-West American accent.
Emily tried to rub her eyes but something stopped her hand. Surprised she looked down to see she was handcuffed.
“What?” Emily asked in near panic.
Her head rocked to the side as the man slapped her. Emily blinked away the tears of pain as she tried to process what was going on. She shouldn’t have felt that pain from the slap that badly. She tried to break the cuffs but they wouldn’t break. Looking down she saw she was sitting in a metal chair that looked like a dentist chair. She was wearing nothing but her underwear. An old fear crept up on her. She couldn’t see anything around her because a light that was shining down at her. Everything else was dark.
“Are there anymore Main type supers in Korea?” The man asked again.
“What?” She asked again. She had no idea what was happening. Her mind was foggy. Emily leaned away from the man as he raised his hand again and slapped her. Her head still rocked to the side.
“Where you the only Main type super in the United Korea.” The man asked after he slapped her yet again.
“I don’t know,” Emily said frightened. She tried to break the straps on her legs but they held firm.
The man slapped her once more and asked her the questions again. She responded by saying that she didn’t know. That man walked around the chair and grabbed her hair. Pulling her head back he slapped her over and over again asking her the same questions and she replied that she didn’t know each time. He whispered very evil things in her ear telling her if she didn’t answer he would do those things. In tears, Emily replied that she didn’t know.
Finally, the man left. Struggling to stop crying Emily looked around. All she could see was darkness outside the circle of light that was shining on her. She tried to break the handcuffs on her arms but no matter what she tried they wouldn’t break. She didn’t understand why. She should have easily snapped them but the only thing that happened was that she cut herself on the handcuffs. “Maybe some kind of tech or magic?” She wondered as she pulled harder on the handcuffs. She stopped when she felt something run down her hand. Looking down opened her mouth in shock. There was the blood that was dripping from the cut from her wrist from the handcuff. Emily felt more fear than she had ever felt before.

“This can’t happen. I’m a super! I’m a main type super! Why aren't I healing?” She asked herself. Her chest started to get tight and it was hard to breathe.
Before she could finish processing that she was bleeding from a simple cut that was not healing she heard a door open. Emily gasped as someone started spraying her with a hose beyond the circle of light. They aimed the hose right at her face and no matter how she moved they kept the water coming right at her face. She was starting to struggle to breath when the water suddenly stopped. She heard something click and really cold air hit her making her shiver. Then someone turned on the music.
If she could she would have covered her ears the music was so loud. The really loud music was propaganda music from North Korea. She even recognized some of it from when she was learning that language. They left her there wet and shivering in the cold air for a very long time. She was scared that they would forget her and leave her to die here but she was also scared that they would come back. Shivering in cold as well as fear, she tried to remember what happened.
She remembered going on the mission. She remembered stealing the trucks as the other squad snuck into the warehouse. She remembered breaking the wall with her fist after she drove the truck right up to the wall. The first part of the plan went flawlessly. They never even saw a North Korean soldier. They loaded up the trucks with weapons, ammo, and other supplies that G had marked to be taken.
Once they were done filling up the trucks they headed to the rendezvous point at the marina. They quickly offloaded the supplies on the barges while the Marine stole a tugboat. They had attached the tow barges together and the Marine pushed the barges down the river. Emily helped to secure the lines so that the two barges were tied together end to end. When they finished tying the two barges together, Emily’s squad raced back to the Bridge as the Marine pushed the barges slowly down the smaller river.
They set up on either side of the bridge. G and Thompson took out the far soldiers while she and Muller took out the ones closest to them. The soldiers might have been Brutes but they were really low-level brutes with little immunity. The gunbattle didn’t last very long at all. G stayed behind to set the demo charges while the rest of the squad jumped in the now-empty trucks.

They drove the trucks to Camp Walker without a problem and then G set off the demo charges. Five minutes later Camp Walker was almost deserted as most of the North Korean soldiers raced out of the Camp towards the bridge and Camp Carroll. A few well-placed shots and the prisoners were free. The plan was a huge success mostly due to the fact that there were only a few North Korean soldiers in the area.
The last thing she remembered was waiting on the Marine to sink the barges. After that everything was a blank. Her fingers and toes were numb and she could see frost on her body when the light to her cell turned on. After her eyes adjusted to the new light she looked around. Emily guessed she was in some sort of restaurant commercial refrigerator. The only thing inside the refrigerator beside her was a really big lamp that had been shining down on her.
The door opened and three men walked in. Emily froze in shock. The Marine walked in first followed by two other Koreans. Emily's attention was completely fixed on the Marine. “Why is he with them. He doesn’t look like he a prisoner. Oh my gosh, he’s a traitor.” Emily thought in horror.
“She’s the only Main type super in the United Korea.” The Marine said turning away from Emily. “Shes your’s now. Let my family go free.”
“You wish to join your family?” One of the Korean men asked.
“You said if I got you her, you would free my family.” The Marine shouted at the man.
“I am a man of my word. They were freed this morning. Do you wish to join them?” The man asked.
“Enough!” Shouted the other Korean. “Just kill the girl and let's be done with this.”
“Let me give this man his reward first.” The first Korean man said smiling. With a flourish, he pulled out his sword and impaled the Marine in the stomach with it.
Emily flinched as the Marine screamed in agony. “Your family is dead you white trash scum. I have them executed this morning.
“Did you have to do that?” The second Korean man asked.
“Yes, the Taewang said to kill him when we were done with him.” The first Korean man said smiling at the second.
“Have you seen Jeong lately?” The Marines asked struggling to breathe.
Both the North Korean frozen. “What did you say?” The Second Korean man asked.
“The super who gives other people superpowers. Have you seen him lately?” The Marine asked smiling.
Emily looked on confused not sure what was going on. The marine laughed and dropped to his knees.
“Where is Jeong?” The second Korean man said stepping forward towards the Marine.
The Marine started to laugh. “He’s … He’s sleeping.” The Marine said smiling. “Forever. I killed him. Slink his throat.” The Marine said his breathing getting worse.
With a shout of rage, the first Korean man pulled his sword back and beheaded the Marine. Emily felt the hot boiling blood on her face and neck as the body of the Marine fell. Staring at the beheaded Marine Emily couldn’t think. Her mind had shut down. All she could think was “There’s a super who could give others superpowers?”
The two Korean stood around the dead body of the marines silently for a few seconds before the first Korean man pulled out a white cloth and wiped the blood off his sword. He dropped the cloth on the corpse of the Marine. The second man took a deep breath. He turned around to Emily and shook his head.
“Pity.” He told her. “Jeong said you’re not a brute but some kind of exotic healer. He told me that right before he took your powers away. The Taewang wanted to keep you as a concubine but wiser heads prevailed. He ordered me to kill you. I know the traitor was not lying. I know you were. The power to tell when people are lying is the power the Taewang gave me. I know there are no other main type supers in the United Korea.”
He pulled his pistol from his holster and raised it towards Emily. “I’m doing you a favor. You don’t want to still be alive when I leave here.” He told her.
As he was talking she heard the bird call again. She smiled. “Stupid bird.” She thought right before she heard the loud bang of the gun.

The Reaper's Legion
Earth: An advanced inhabitable world in the ideal colonizable range. Moderate temperatures and consistent weather patterns make this planet an incredible resource, along with a wealth of animals and wildlife beyond most worlds. Inhabited by the sentient species designated “Humans,” Earth would likely have joined the galactic community of its own accord. Levels of technology in local populace indicate a sharp trend towards interstellar travel, but still needs to make the last push to acquire reasonable interstellar technologies. Up until quite recently, Earth has not been a fully classified planet and was largely unknown. Due to biotic activity in the quadrant, however, attention has been drawn to Earth and many other possibly habitable planets in the regions, primarily for quarantine and control tactics. Matthew Todd was not a particularly unique human being before the meteors struck the earth. Average athletics, above average intelligence, but somewhat gifted in marksmanship, the post-apocalyptic earth has been a trial by fire for him and many others. Creatures that resemble bastardized wolves roam the land in packs numbering in the thousands. With entire cities decimated, those that remain are left with the harsh reality that they may be witnessing the end of humanity. And yet, there is a chance. Humanity knows they are not alone in the universe - the wolves are case enough for that - but what they do not know is that they are not alone in their plight. They are not without aid. Obelisks descend from the sky, giving the people a means to fight back. With tools ranging from guns to advanced mechanical apparatus and more bizarre tools, the people must cull the Biotics. Or, be consumed by the ever growing and mutating threat. Join Matthew in the fight to exterminate the Biotic threat, and to ensure the survival of human kind!

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
