Skill | LXv1 Hand Cannon | Tier 7
This skill is not attainable outside of the boss chest of the boss: Beholder.
LXv1 Hand Cannon transforms the user’s arm into a cannon for a medium expenditure of stamina, temporarily placing any equipment on said arm into a safe area that is still considered to be equipped on the user’s body. The cannon can fire any element from it that the user can create in the form of a beam, and each beam will have their own effects depending on which element is being used to fire it.
Note: Any element made or stored prior to use of the cannon will not be used, as it is connected directly to whichever organs the user has that produces their element, making it only able to use element created directly for the purpose of firing, at the time of creation.

This will be a very nice thing to have when I’m too far away from an enemy to get my element near them. Since it uses my created element, that means it should use my eternal ice. And considering that it’s a cannon, it should move the element a lot faster than I possibly could in the form of pure ice element.
I reach out to grab the orange skill orb before turning to the exit.
The danger of the dungeon aside, I can’t help but feel a little bit of anticipation at this point in every floor theme. Right before seeing the next theme.
Whether that means that I’ve become a bit too happy with battle and danger, I don’t know. But it’s exciting to see the themes.
Even if most of them want to kill me, and I end up hating the themes after entering them half the time.
And with that thought in mind, I step through the shattered tube to touch the exit, causing the usual flash of light to envelop me as I silently hope the next floor isn’t going to-

Before I can finish my thought, I feel water begin to enter my canine-like mouth as the white fur all over my body is instantly soaked.
I clamp my mouth closed to stop any more water from flowing in while also squinting my eyes as I feel water envelop my entire body.
What the hell…
By the time the light fades, I find myself underwater in an ocean. A very, very deep ocean.
Unable to open my mouth due to the water around me, I jerk my head upwards before swimming towards the surface I can see located a few meters above me. Once my head gets out of the water, I find myself gasping for breath and switching to my neutral form to get rid of this uncomfortable feeling of having soaked fur all over.
After that, I take a moment to look around. Everywhere I can see, there’s nothing but rain and ocean, with the occasional hints of moonlight breaking through the rainy clouds above.
“Well, shit,” I mutter, continuing to look around before noticing something enter the range of my life senses. “Another hazardous floor…”
Arcadian Live
“Now that’s very interesting,” Mikaela says with a faint smile whilst rubbing his chin in thought, “another hazardous floor theme. And an ocean one at that this time!”
“The Silver Siren’ll love this new floor theme,” Niklai says, a grin splitting his dwarven face as he crosses his arms and watches Wolf look directly towards a shark-like monster that can be seen currently swimming towards him. Wolf’s eyes can be seen glowing a faint, pale blueish-gold in the dark of the ocean night as the water of the ocean around him begins to freeze over. Soon after that, a wave of ice spreads through the water straight towards the shark before freezing it alive in the water. “And it looks like Wolf will have a way to get through it as well.”
“Hmm, you have a point there,” Mikaela begins before looking at Niklai and clarifying, “about the Silver Siren part. She would be at home on a floor theme like this.”

Katherine can be seen floating towards the two, abandoning her own screen at the moment to instead focus on their conversation and Wolf’s screen.
“Is it just me,” she begins without taking her eyes off of Wolf as he manipulates the floating ice to let him climb to the top of it before looking down at himself with a frown, “or does The Winter Wolf look a lot more intimidating on this floor than on any of the other floors…?”
Both of the commentators glance at her before focusing on the screen again. Meanwhile, Wolf’s many fans all shout their agreements or disagreements, completely drowning out any of the fans of the other Competitors, along with the commentators for the other Competitors in the process.
“Actually, you may be right,” Mikaela mutters, squinting his eyes a little as he looks at the screen.
Niklai on the other hand just continues grinning at the screen as he answers, “It’s the dark lighting, mixed with the ocean vibe and his faintly glowing eyes that’s doin it.”
Suddenly, a wave of icy mist covers Wolf’s body before small bits of ice float off of his body and into the water as he raises his head again to look through the light rain at the clouds above.
“I’m not really sure why he just dried himself off – if that’s what that can be considered doing – when he’s still being rained on,” Katherine mutters as she tilts her head slightly.
“Better not to question it,” Mikaela says, waving off her concerns before clapping his hands together with a grin and saying, “what really matters now is whether or not our little forerunner remembers the event boss that spawned a while back!”
Niklai jerks his head to look at the host in surprise before saying, “You’re right! It should be on the sixty-eighth floor if I’m not wrong!”
Suddenly, Mikaela’s grin grows even wider as he turns to the audience and spreads his arms out wide before shouting, “Who wants to make a bet on just what the mysterious event monster will be!!!”
Almost immediately after he shouts this, more shouts raise up from amongst the audience as millions of people begin shouting out the names of hundreds of different powerful ocean monsters. Meanwhile, Mikaela just begins to mess with his menus, creating a new bet on the System Betting menu for this topic.
“I have a few guesses,” Niklai says as he rubs his chin in thought, “the event boss could be a kraken, or a leviathan. In fact, I wouldn’t even rule out it being a water dragon.”
Mikaela doesn’t take his eyes off of the menus in front of him as he says, “I doubt it will be a water dragon. My guess would be a kraken or a leviathan.”
After a few more seconds, he finally takes his eyes away as he continues, “Although it could also be a new monster introduced in the dungeon run from the newly initialized galaxy. Because we all know the System likes to use those as event bosses.”
“Either way,” Katherine interrupts, “it looks like The Winter Wolf’s earlier swim has become rather pointless because of this floor.”
Both of the two commentators look at her for a few seconds before turning to look at the forerunner screen as Wolf swims downwards with a strange bubble of ice over his head, along with a long tube made of ice going a few meters above the surface for air so that nothing can try clogging it during his attempt to see what’s down below.
“Do you know…” Mikaela begins before frowning, “what he’s doing?”
The other commentators shrug in response as Wolf continues to swim downwards, continuously extending the ice pipe as he goes.

Gaia Ark
Commander Coop, a four-armed, power-armored, super-soldier, undertakes a mission to assassinate the head of a religious cult bent on destroying the UPSF and everyone they protect. But no mission is ever that simple. GAIA ARK is an action adventure hero's journey featuring a cranky cyborg, vampiric sword, alien monsters, and enough self-discovery to provide a character arc. It's a little rough around the edges, a little crude. I started writing this story on November 2, 2018. This story is mid-composition. Please expect clunky prose, notes [in brackets], and incomplete...
