《Starcraft Unbound》Watching Mayhem - 2

---Jimmy, a random creep---
"Yo Jimmy! Get in here you sick Asian bastard, that Game with the tentacles you like is on the tube." I rolled my eyes at the idiot that was my room-mate. The philistine knew not the power of Pokemon and using the Tenticruel the current Player had to molest and abuse the women he found as the sheer beauty it was.
"It's Pokemon, you ass. It's also better than that StarCraft game you watch. How is that moron alive anyway? Why the fuck would you even follow him? The ass-hat doesn't even try to fuck that tight piece Nova. I mean, really?"
"Go fuck yourself, Soldiers stick together. Supporting my brother in arms as best I can." Soldier my ass, National Guard was all you were and you ran when the Aliens actually invaded. I sat down to watch one of the Gym Leaders, Misty or something, getting double penetrated by the current Players Tenticruel while eating my popcorn. Lucky fucker got to do all the fun shit.
---Irene, a random watcher---
I watched as the man that was my boyfriend killed some nasty little green thing that looked like the morbid cross between a crow, an ant, and an ugly as sin dog before kissing this big blond bimbo. I clenched my teeth before turning the T.V off.
The man I thought I knew went away only a day into the game he got thrown into, I had even risked myself by following him and he was already sleeping with the first thing that spread her legs for him. The game was set in some fantasy game that was more Indie than anything and I refused to remember the fucking name after that.
I hoped the cheating bastard burned in a pit of tar while his blond bimbo was raped by little green monsters for what he did, for how he got me trapped into supporting him. Yelling in frustration I picked up a picture and threw it into the wall. It had been the one we took during our trip to the Russian Alps. I had thought it was a fun trip, even if he seemed to dislike it. Look back, the signs were always there and I was just too fucking stupid to see them. I should never have left my ex for this rich bastard. At least my ex-had treated me right.

I turned the T.V back on, flipping to the channel his game should be on. StarCraft. He had a blond bimbo as well, but he wasn't fucking her like my, hopefully soon to be dead, boyfriend. Damian, he still looked strong and attractive in that rugged 'I don't really care what you think' way. If he survived, maybe I'd find him and have another go at it. No doubt he'd take me back in an instant, he always did before anyway.
---Peon, former President of Earth.---
"Masters, I was wondering when we could announce the end of children being thrown into the games?" All the Lumerians in charge of Earth were present, though I was only allowed to know Xal'guls name. He was also the only one who deemed to speak to me, a lowly Human.
"Ah, Peon...Good of you to come. We will require another three thousand of your young before your population begins to even out. Thankfully our entertainment has culled most of your weakest and physically, or mentally challenged individuals. The more insane and violent prone of your kind have proven rather interesting to watch, though I do enjoy the 'War Hero' more."
'War Hero' my ass, the man was nothing but the bane of my existence now. I'd been demoted for the failed control of someone meant as my guard, assigned the fucking name 'Peon' rather than maintaining my leadership and more, I was stuck being a god-damned spokesperson. I collected myself slowly and bowed before leaving.
"As you wish, Masters."
---Damian's Mother---
Crying, it was almost all I did now when I was home, watching my baby fight for his life. Like before, he was injured and that was when they decided to end the viewing time. He had just taken one of those Spine like things to the shoulder, and then they cut it off. I had no idea yet if my baby had been killed or if he was still alive. All I had was a Mothers hope that her son was ok. It was like the war, only a million times worse because I saw everything that happened.

The single good thing about it was that he was still my boy, this thing had not turned him into a monster like all the others I'd seen, he stayed true to the core fundamentals I'd raised him with. A few others had as well, but they were so few. I shivered, remembering the scenes of violence, rape, murder, and wanton cruelty that Humanity was so capable of letting loose upon those games.
Leaning against the kitchen table, I ran a finger against the side of one of the few framed pictures I had left of my Damian in his dress blues. Before the Aliens, it was a war against Humanity that made him seem distant, lost when he came home. The Alien war brought some fire back into him and I hoped that he might be ok...then this. I knew, realistically, that he would still be different but again I had a Mothers hope. I wasn't too sure about the look I saw in his eyes when he watched the blond girl in clothes far to tight to be proper, Nova I think was her name. My Damian might be a good man but he was an idiot when it came to women. I sighed, looking at the picture, tears coming again at the sheer worry I felt. Tomorrow needed to hurry, I needed to know my baby was alright.
---New Player---
No, no, no, no, no, no. Why? I never followed anyone, never watched the shows. Why had I been selected and placed into a game? This game of all games? What the hell had I done to deserve this? I remember falling asleep after a long day at work and when I woke up I had this fucking message box in front of me and was in a blank white room. The damn thing only spelled soon to be violent and painful death.

Either way, the pain, suffering, and failures were supposed to be over. I was supposed to wink out, or perhaps take a trip to a lovely afterlife! No, I ended up as a small stone, strapped to a table, while a pimple-faced teenager rubbed my facets and told me how 'lovely' I was. Last time I checked, birth wasn't supposed to be as embarrassing as death!Life as a dungeon core isn't all bad. I like watching lizard love triangles and snooping on militaristic dwarves; though there is that issue where I'm trying to free myself from the entanglements of the Gods....ok, yeah that last one is a bit of a problem. The War Wolves
If you’re good at something, never do it for free. That’s what Ludgar’s uncle taught him. Sellswording isn’t the most glamorous life, but it pays well if you’re good at it. Interesting as well, if you ignore the very probable possibility of a swift, sticky end at the hands of pointy things. When the mercenary lifestyle grows incompatible with the Kingdom of Evandis, he and his merry band of misfits set off west to seek those with a better proclivity for warfare and with much deeper pockets. At his side: a wandering barbarian who teeters on the edge of savagery, a girl who would have a heart of gold if she didn’t pawn it off to the nearest fence, a wannabe knight who is absolutely overcompensating for something, and the last person in the universe who should be anywhere close to magic. But, as most mercenaries find, the right decisions are quite an expensive luxury, and the wrong ones happen to pay very well. Then again, what are the value of morals to a hungry wolf?
