《Cloud Dungeon》Book 2 Chapter 14

Sha! Sha!

The sound of water under the boat was quite calming for the passengers. A party of seven humans moved about on the ship. Walking around the ship along with the humans, and teaching them random bits of sailor knowledge, were four halflings in marine sailor suits. One human of the party sat at the front of the boat with a staff that had a glowing crystal orb on it.

This party was the same human party that had entered not a day before and with some difficulty sailing, they reached the second floor where they were able to locate a marine base to hire the marines.

It was unexpectedly hard to hire them as sailors. Due to the hierarchy built by the marines, captains wouldn’t take any boat that didn’t belong to them and commanders were too busy while marine halflings, the lowest class, were all under a different captain so they were not entirely interested.

As for paying with gold, they weren’t pirates so they didn’t care but unexpectedly, a commander said that there was a need to give the new recruits live training.

The request was to allow them to gain sailing experience on their boat and in exchange, they would follow you until the fourth floor where they would be delivered to the Marine HQ.

As for the man who was meditating with the strange staff, he was a dungeoneer acolyte. Dungeoneering requires decades of training and with the change in the dungeon system, there was a need to train more capable dungeoneers.

That said, there are simply too few who are able to become dungeoneers. First off, the dungeoneer guild was rather closed off among the adventurer guild’s subclass branches. Second, when speaking about the most populous race, humans, of 1000 humans one was a mage but of 1000 mages only one was a dungeoneer.

It went to show how high the requirements were. Even if a mage studied to be a dungeoneer, it was hard to get the class change.

All sentient races have the class system as opposed to the evolution system. This is because the six main ‘sentient’ races are all mixed with human blood who originally were the only ones with this system.

The class system doesn’t involve ‘innate’ classes. Instead, it depended on skills and statuses reaching very specific conditions. For a warrior, one needed to have at least 20 strength and either 15 dexterity or vitality.

Obviously not all people would get the warrior class because of the time needed to train it so there was a farmer class, a blacksmith class and such which all involved similar conditions but there is a distinct difference if someone gets these first.

Class compatibility is an important aspect of the world. If someone is raised as a farmer for 15 years of their life, they have the farmer class and everything. However, if then they take up magic and reach the conditions for the mage class, the synergy between the farmer and mage classes could give either earth mage or nature mage classes depending on what they worked with. If they were orchid farmers, they tend to be nature mages while land cultivators that change crops each season tend to be earth mages.

This is one unique aspect that makes a wide range of classes in the world and the decision of a class in the past could easily affect the future you will face.

To become a dungeoneer, one would need the pure mage class and then study and train in a dungeon, learning the required skills as a mage. This caused it to become a very dangerous occupation due to the high mortality rate, not to mention the required magic sensitivity and capability to remember all the sigil magic that could influence a dungeon. Actually, the low number of dungeoneers is usually more due to the fact that they die early.

With the rise of the much less evil dungeons who had their dungeon instincts stripped of their murderous nature, only the true nature of the soul will be left so one would be able to train in ‘friendly’ dungeons before entering dangerous ones to do their job more correctly.

Soon the party arrived at a cultivated island. Since the sharkmen were killed, several islands on the lower floors each were changed to be farms since they had been previously just wild islands.

These farm islands were low threat islands but it wasn’t like there wasn’t anything to do in this place. The first floor islands were all normal, but starting from floor 2, crops became monsters.

“Alright people, we are reaching a farm village, get ready to dock, it will probably be around two hours before we get off since these islands are slow to sync,” Roran said.

The dungeoneer opened his eyes, “The area is safe for the most part, there is a large sea creature 100 meters to the starboard but it is ignoring us,” the dungeoneer said.

“Hmm, it’s probably either a large lobster or the sky sea dragon,” he said with a short shiver.

They had had an encounter with the sky sea dragon and the wyverns who had actually saved them on the third floor when unexpectedly four sky sharks attacked them.

Sky sharks moved in packs only on the first and second floors, on the third they become solitary hunters because their number reduced and they require a lot of food due to their extremely large size so even their own kind is on the menu. Only the strongest get to rise to the fourth floor.

It was an unexpected attack from four sides but out of nowhere, the sky sea dragon jumped out taking one of the sharks and another dragon came from the sky to defeat a second shark. They were followed by a herd of wyverns taking the other two like hawks and killing them with their powerful claws.

Afterwards, the dragons came and spoke with them causing the adventurers and halflings to shake in their boots due to the pressure dragons had.

Just their size alone is as long as their sloop, from the nose to the tip of the tail.

The dragons lead them to their island for safety where a kobold civilization was forming with a small group of leaders who were awakened kobolds.

Of course, they were variants, instead of scales they had ruffled feathers with a lizard-like appearance.

Everyone knew it was hard for kobolds to awaken and required a specific purity of dragon blood that could only come to being by killing their own kind or a dragon. However, they wouldn’t kill a dragon since they are their sovereigns but the dungeon was very much different. The island’s owners released an aura that affected the growth pattern of the island. On the island of the dragons, rare dragon blood root was found. This is a unique variant of the healing potion’s main ingredient, blood root.

Fallen dragon scale feathers, wyvern scales and old claws littered the ground and the party took some of them because these were items from a dragon. A dragon’s body itself was a treasure so if given to a skilled blacksmith, they could turn these unique feather scales into a unique cloak or light feather mail.

The boat docked and the marines showed the party the process once more of how to close the sails efficiently as well as the many knots and things needed for docking before they finally dropped anchor on the island.

The sound of crunching was heard from the shells and coral under the water on the reef of the islands.

“It’s still mind boggling how many creatures exist in this dungeon.” the dungeoneer said as he walked off the boat.

“That’s right Aaron, you were able to train in several dungeons already right? How different is this dungeon besides the cloud thing?” Stacy, the party’s mage, asked.

“The dungeon is all connected by huge channels of mana, from top to bottom, there is word that there might even be the possibility to use this for true teleportation between islands. Also, this dungeon has an ecosystem,” he replied.

As the party walks into town, they turned to him confused. “Ecosystem means?” Tristan, the defender, asked.

“It means there is an established balanced system in the nature of the dungeon. There are food plants, herb plants, and all other kinds, then there are herbivores and carnivores as well as sentient beings,” Megumu, their priest, said.

“It is as she said, you should have noticed the sky sharks, for instance. As infants, they run in packs just like blade wing flying fish but are slow and weak. They gather together out of necessity but after the third floor you don’t see that. This is a natural evolution of the race as well as a balancing agent of the dungeon causing only the strongest monsters to rise to the upper floors while the weaker ones function as food on the lower floors. If the sky shark population decreases even further, the blade wing flying fish would be able to come to the fourth floor possibly evolving further providing another excellent predator fish,” Aaron said.

“This is hurting my goddamn head,” Tristan complained while he scratched his head.

“Just don’t think about it then, your brain is too small to think about such things anyway, Tristan,” Carlos jumped back quickly as Tristan’s bulky fist flies at him.

“Just wait and see when I get my hands on you, you shitty little pickpocket!” Tristan said angry.

“Alright, let’s stop, let’s see what we can do on the island while we wait for the compass to align with the island,” Roran said stopping the two from fighting.

In most islands with towns, after much negotiation with Mir, the adventurers guild was allowed to build a branch in these towns because it would allow dungeon residents and even intelligent dungeon monsters to put requests for the adventurers.

Farm islands from the second floor and up have to harvest crops but that requires a skilled harvesting method requiring them to grab the crop before killing the plant.

Orchid farms weren’t a problem because the fruits would become magically charged fruits at most. The problem is the root and grain crops. They became monsters and they weren’t exactly weak either.

The crops the dungeon has are few in number. Wheat, barley, rye and rice are the only grains they have while carrots and potatoes are the only root crops they have. The final type are cotton and bean plants.

The grains and beans are the most dangerous crops to grow. The four grains all evolve into what is called a Killer Plant, they don’t produce anything due to being aggressive. Because of their nature, they have to be killed off in the field so that the farmers could constantly experiment with them until they can regain the crop growing capability.

The bean plant became even more unconventional but easier to harvest for the magical races. The beanstalks are 1 meter tall and have around 50 bean pods but as monsterized creatures, these bean pods look like the muzzle of a cannon with a swollen pouch near the back. When an unknown creature nears it, they will instinctively aim and fire the beans which are hard and have a very tiny layer of mana around it to protect it from the impact.

These five plants are the most dangerous, though potatoes literally became landmines. For unknown reasons, when they formed a monster core, it became something compressed with heat like a bomb. Heavy impact will cause them to blow but the crop itself is stationary with very low intelligence. To harvest this crop, it needs to be pulled out without breaking the plant and then left to dry, to let them die, before harvesting the potato intact.

Cotton, on the other hand, actually blossoms and become floating cotton puff ball creatures. They are harmless and can be reared like cattle where the cotton is like fur and is sheared off while the creature, which is the plant under the cotton bud, would be raisable to produce more cotton for at least three more times before it withers.

The last one is the most comical, carrots evolved into Mandragora Carrots. Unlike the common Mandragora that have a head, chest, arms and legs as well as a face, a mouth and even lungs and vocal cords to use their piercing sound attack, mandragora carrots only have well formed arms and legs. The carrot body remains perfectly but they developed well for escaping. They can detach their plant that was pulled and have very high speeds when running away.

The party had laughed at it the first time they saw it but they had a hard time catching it without Aaron and Stacy who worked together to find it and catch with magic.

“Greeting folks, want a request?!” A small female halfling asked while sitting on a laid down and very intimidating gale wolf.

The party stiffened when they saw that this seemingly normal halfling had tamed one of the bigger hunters of the land creatures on the floor. Not to mention that these pure spirit type halflings were extremely beautiful making it a very unique image.

“Yes, miss,” Roran said.

“We have killer plant clearing, bean harvest…”

BANG!

Suddenly the door opened, “Quickly! Someone come and help stop a raging Sky Iron Horn Ram!” a farmer halfling said.

Everyone was shocked when the halfling came in and their faces paled when they heard.

“What is a sky iron horn ram?” Roran asked the halfling.

“It’s an Iron Horn Ram that evolved in the fourth floor. Sky iron is a special iron found here and the horns are made of this making them really hard! The skull is very hard as well but their legs are weak! We need someone to just topple it so that we can lasso it!” the farmer said.

Roran looked at the party and they nodded, “We will take help!” Roran said.

“Thank you!” the halfling said and they ran out. Outside was a town but even from the town it was possible to hear the raging of the ram.

Around each animal pen were stone walls, if it was just that though any of the evolved cattle would break out. Instead, on the inside of the walls were actually shells from mollusks that have been appearing. They are called Sky Sea Slug and Sky Sea Mollusk. When identified by magic, they are giving similar information meaning they are similar races but the difference is the shape of the shell.

Shells have different effects, the most common though is what they use on the walls.

BOOM!

The ram smashes into the wall sending a shockwave into the wall but strangely, the energy was dispersed outwards. Not to mention a huge amount of air that came out of the shell.

On the wall, a half meter long seashell had just finished releasing the wind. The ram turned and roared, the 2 meter long body with 1 meter of height caused it to be an intimidating cattle creature.

Rams were used for meat and their horns and skull were sold to dwarves because there is sky iron in them making it a very unique source the iron is supplied from.

Sheep are half the size and are docile while producing more milk and fur which is slowly developing into a yarn making production.

“What are these shells?!” Tristan asked with a glowing glare at them.

“They’re called shock rejection shells. When struck from the top, around 80% of the force struck on it is absorbed and blows out as wind. There are a lot of different shells on the shores and reef with different effects. Most aren’t dangerous… yet.” the halfling said.

The words clearly rang bells in the heads of the human party. It meant that they had begun evolving recently and so there might appear weapon shaped shells.

“Do you have any spares of that?” Tristan asked.

“Sure,” the farmer said then quickly went and got one. Tristan looked at it and frowned when he saw no method to hold it in the form of a shield. However, he was surprised when he put it against his body and it somehow stuck to it.

“This is weird.” He said as he shook his arm to see how firm it was.

At this time, Aaron walked up and touched it, after which lines of mana flowed through the shell before returning, “The structure is quite complex, not only does it adhere to surfaces and reflect physical impacts, it has a chance to rebound the force,” Aaron said.

“Get the ropes ready, I’ll block it,” Tristan said.

They nodded and the halfling farmers started to get ready before Tristan jumped in the pen. “Come and get it!” He roared while activating the defenders ability, ‘Taunt’.

Defenders are frontliners responsible for keeping the attention of the enemy. In the warrior class, there are two kinds of warriors which is separated by the Dexterity and the Vitality stats. Defender, a one higher rank class for those who train vitality, while Swordsman are those who train dexterity.

Knights like Roran are much rarer because they train both.

The ram turned to him and roared before it suddenly rushed at him and slammed its head right into the shell shield.

Boom! PSSSHHHHAAA!

A large impact was heard but surprisingly Tristan was able to hold back the Ram. However, a moment after the impact, the opening of the shell that was faced to the left suddenly released a torrent of wind.

BEEEEEE!

The ram roared and reared up then slammed its head down from above but was blocked again.

“MOVE IT! DAMN IT!” Tristan roared.

At that time, more than half a dozen halflings on tamed creatures jumped out holding ropes and suddenly threw the lassos as the ram reared up again.

The one on the left grabbed its front leg and with the rope tied to their mount, he ran backwards. Suddenly, the leg of the ram was pulled making it go off balance and fall to the left.

BAAAA! BAA!

What followed was several of them lassoing it down.

“We did it!” they exclaimed.

“Thank you!” the farmer said. “Here you can have these as a reward!” he said and called the farmers who brought out several kinds of shells. “These are safe shells with practical uses but some are a bit strange so we don’t know how to use.” he said.

Tristan frowned, “Isn’t this just giving us your junk?” he muttered but was elbowed.

“Thank you,” Roran said and they looked through the shells. There were different shapes like one that was very long and smooth with a point that would work as a weapon.

Aaron felt each one of them, “There are very minor abilities that don’t actually activate,” he said.

At this time, Roran lifted a very strange shell, it had the curled shell rolled up on top but as it opened up, it opened very wide and there was a kind of support pillar between the spun body and the end of the turn making it seem like a sword handle. “This is quite a strange shell,” he said.

“Ahaha, hey boss, if that strange handle like shell and this really long cone one were put together, it would look like a shell sword,” Carlos joked as he held the long cone shaped shell with a point at the end.

“Stop playing around Carlos,” Justin said and took the cone shell, “This is better as an arrow,” he said but he was thinking more of the tip and using the spiralling curve to cause the arrow to gain a spinning penetration aspect.

“Carlos does make a good point,” Roran said and took the shell and looked at it before chuckling. He then turned the shell until he put found a side that best fit onto the hand. “Like this right?” he said and chuckled.

The others laughed along with the joke but an unexpected gasp from Aaron drew their attention.

When they looked, the two shells began to glow and fused into one shell and indeed, became a complete shell sword that was as long as a long sword.

They were stunned and frozen in their spot but Aaron walked over and examined it, “The minor abilities merged and became a complete power. Roran, aim at a tree and thrust,” Aaron said with a serious expression.

They turned to a nearby tree and cleared the way. Roran turned and after aiming, he thrust out. To their shock, the shell blade released a high pressure and shell shaped water bullet that penetrated halfway into the tree.

Everyone had their jaws dropped and looked at the amazing magic item that had suddenly formed.

“As I expected, not all shells are complete magic items but they are ingredients for one. There is a compatibility of power in the smaller shells that lets them merge. I don’t think it is random either,” Aaron said and took out a notebook. He made sure to write this down so he could report it to the guild.

“Where can we get these naturally?” Justin asked.

The farmers perked up and one scratched his head, “All along the beach shores you can find them. We can’t hunt the sea creatures since the clouds make it impossible to see, but they wash ashore,” he said.

“Thank you for the shells,” Roran said as he looked quite pleased. He thought it was a good thing to train with.

The party returned to the guild and since they got an urgent request they were paid in gold coin for the completion while the success was registered on their guild cards.

“We are almost at E rank,” Roran noticed.

“We still need the strength to be an E rank party,” Megumu said.

“Yes, that is true,” Roran nodded.

“Hey boss, let’s go gather shells, the compass is almost synced so while on the boat, we can try making other kinds of magic items,” Carlos suggested.

Roran nodded agreeing, a profit making thing like this should be taken advantage of as early as possible before the knowledge spread. The shells were still a new item from the looks of it, so there shouldn’t be many people using them and they would use only the large complete ones.

They spread out and searched the beach then returned to the docks each with a bag of the stuff. They chuckled to each other for getting the shells but they returned to the boat where the marines asked about it and were shocked to discover the shell blade.

“Let’s set sail! The compass is in sync already, we can safely move on,” Roran said.

“Aye sir!” the marines shouted.

With the sails out, the boat set off as the anchor came up. The party sat in the lower deck with the shells and were looking through them. Aaron was identifying the ones with actual power and those that were normal shells without use.

Boom!

After an hour, all of a sudden they heard an explosion and ran outside. “What is going on?!” Tristan shouted.

They looked around but found nothing.

“Look!” a halfling suddenly said and they looked up and paled.

Currently, above them, the clouds of the fifth floor cloud sea were spinning. It was like a tornado that had yet to form.

True wild winds were starting to pick up making them pale.

“Let’s get our arse out of here!” The marines shouted.

They began to sail the ship as best as possible and it turned away from the location. They heard a lot of sounds from above but just ran away in fear of what would happen if they stayed there.

A cold feeling filled their heart as they wondered what was causing such an intense shift in the clouds above.

***

As the system had said, Dia’s mana pool would not gather any mana. All the drops her dungeon core released all flowed through the cracks and what is more.

They found that animals below a certain in level of intelligence also ignored her as if she was a stranger and the smart ones actually showed reluctance towards her orders.

“This is quite dangerous, imagine if Dia lost total control of her dungeon through this!” Misty said.

Simple minded creatures followed orders without complaint while the intelligent monsters and creatures commanded them while battling. There were no problems since they knew who she was and what should and shouldn’t be done.

To distract Dia and Waid, Mir, Pearl and Misty took the two of them to play on the fifth floor.

With many more spirits there, it was much better to distract them there.

Mir decided to take her to one of the adventurer towns. Since adventurers on the fifth floor were more profiteers than people attempting to reach the sixth floor, these towns were rather well developed.

This was one of the two towns with an adventurer's guild on the fifth floor, due to it’s small size and fewer islands which number only 24. That said, they set up a quite impressive defense on the island. Although there were no large stone walls, the pier was well developed and there were five ships and adventurer guild trained crews to protect the island from constant pirate attacks.

The walked around curiously until they passed a tavern and Dia’s eyes were drawn to it. “Hey Mir, let’s go eat something!” She said pointing to the tavern.

“Alright.” Mir said and walked in.

Everyone looked and were shocked to see Dia here but the mead fairy waitress came over and lead them a table. “Wut ya wan?” She asked.

A menu was given to them. Dia and Waid looked at it before peeking at Mir.

Finally Dia turned and pointed to a what she wanted. “Two king claw crab legs and claws and a jug of two cup dropper,” she said.

Before the fairy could turn, she was grabbed by Mir, “What is this about the two cup dropper?” Mir said coldly.

“M-M-Miss…. asked…” she said looking at Dia.

The two children didn’t meet Mir’s glare, “Why did you asked for such a powerful drink?!” She asked them and let go of the fairy.

“Ah? Ya beat everyone up wen dey drunk but aint askem?” the mead fairy asked. “Dey drunk de dropper like water.” She said.

“What exactly happened?” She asked.

“Dey drunk and got more solid,” the mead fairy said.

“Um…” Waid muttered, “It was a magic drink so the more we drank the more solid our bodies became. It also was tasty like juice and we were barely affected by the alcohol,” Waid said.

“Alright, I want to see this, two cups. If either of you turn red faced for even a moment, you can forget it,” Mir said.

They nodded and the order was allowed, once. As for the plates of king claw crab legs and claws, amazingly, a huge plate came with very long legs and a pair of large claws.

Everyone at the table looked at it slack-jawed.

“Since when have king claw crabs reached this size?” Mir asked.

“Ya don ‘no? Wen de farms appear on all de floors, Dey wer caught up by force ta be bred ‘ere.” she said.

That explanation was enough, anything not naturally on the floor would experience a great deal of growth before evolving.

“Wait! They are being bred? Won’t they evolve soon?!” Mir said.

“Ahaha! Ya don need ta worry, we prapared,” the mead fairy laughed

Mir just sighed.

Tak! Tak!

The sound of small shot cups being put on the table was heard and she looked at the calm smiling faces of the two children who took one of the legs and after asking how to eat it, began to quickly devour the meat.

“SO GOOD!” Dia shouted.

Waid was silently gulping down the meat as fast as Dia. What was amazing was that the jug of two cup dropper was in the middle and every time they finished a crab leg, they poured a cup, drank it and immediately went back to eating.

Mir watched in horror as the two bottomless pits stuffed themselves but then she thought of something and lifted herself in her seat before producing a small ray of light on each of their heads. There was no danger but it was simply to see the transparency of their bodies. She looked at the seat behind them and was shocked to find a very thin dot and after each drink, it gradually faded.

When the two finished the legs they both belched and laughed.

“Ahahaha! That was fun!” Dia exclaimed.

“I ate more crab legs than you,” Waid said with a mocking grin.

“No! I did! I ate two extra!” She said.

“Then I ate three!” Waid exclaimed.

The two growled and suddenly grabbed the large claws. With just their small hands, they twisted the bottom part of the claw and broke it off, revealing the meat then began an eating contest to see who could eat the claws first.

Like a pair of hamsters, they chewed on it with an amazing speed leaving just the outer exoskeleton.

“I win!” ”My win!” they said in unison.

They glared at each other then each of them took their cups and grabbed for the jug but their hands missed as Mir took it away. “Alright you two, stop that,” She said, “Alright, I understand both of your constitutions now. That said, no more drinking this, spread this to all taverns and bars. Anyone seen giving two cup dropper to either of them will be personally ‘taken care of’ by me,” she said looking at all the adventurers.

The cold glare held an immense murders intent that caused them to sober up and not.

“Yes ma’am!” they all said together.

“But Mir~!” Dia said with indignation.

“No buts! This isn’t juice and I will not raise you as a drunkard if I can help it! Both of you will not get this,” she said.

The two began to complain but the result was a smack to the head.

“Starting from today, you spirits will start making different non-alcoholic beverages. Whenever they come, give it to them to try. No! Alcohol!” she said glaring at the mead and rum fairies.

“Aye ma’am!” they said quickly out of fear of Mir.

As things finally got settled, something appeared that caused all that to go to waste.

“Oi! Hook, don’t you have enough sense to not come here!” Peter's voice was heard from outside.

“Poppycock! I have come to see Miss Dia who is currently here. What I do and don’t do isn’t for you to decide, boy,” Hook’s voice came from behind the door. Hook finally opened it and he walked in with Peter behind him frowning.

Hook looked and instantly found Dia and the group. “Ah! Miss Dia, such a pleasure to see you again, you so rarely visit and see how my humble abode has grown,” he said smiling and walking over. He took her hand and gave it a kiss on the back.

Peter spat into a spittoon nearby, “Don’t you ever get tired of the old gentleman act old man?” Peter said.

“Don’t you ever get tired of being a brat!?” he said then turned around and glared down at Peter.

Peter started to float at eye level with him and the two growled at each other.

“Stop it you two!” Dia said trying to split them but surprisingly, they became ever more aggressive.

“Heh, look at you, needing the miss to protect your puny life. If not for her, I would have long beheaded you!” Hook growled.

“With what? That dull blade you carry around?” Peter mocked him.

“Oh, would you like to test how dull it is, boy!” Hook said in a cold tone.

At this time, a very tense atmosphere filled the bar. The adventurers were extremely wary of both of them because they knew of their strength. The fact that these adventurers weren’t on the sixth floor was more than enough proof of this fact.

“You two, stop this right now!” Mir said striking her staff on the ground.

They both reacted when her mana caused a heavy pressure to descend on the tavern. They both looked at her with some fear and Peter scoffed before floating back a bit and going to the bar to get a drink.

Giving a snort, Hook turned to offer his hand to Dia, “Now my dear! Let us go to my island!”

WOOSH!

An extremely sharp wind blade came flying rapidly at his hand and made him jump from Dia, “How many times do I have to say to stay away from Dia, old man!” Peter said while he was holding a dagger which wind was gathering around.

“That thing, you upgraded your blade?!” Hook said.

Peter snorted, “What do you expect, sky iron is a much better metal for wind magic,” he said and pointed the dagger at Hook, “Try to get near her again and it’s your head next,” Peter said.

“STOP PETER!” Dia shouted and flew over trying to push him back but he didn’t take his eyes of Hook.

“That’s it! My patience is spent!” Hook said

Shaa!

He pulled his long sword and suddenly a lot of wind began to blow in the tavern as the two had totally opposite blades. One released wind while the other gathered it.

“I said stop!” Mir shouted but Peter suddenly bolted forward, leaving a trail of fairy dust and in a blink of an eye, he struck Hook who blocked with his sword.

BOOM!

Without a single delay, the two blades collided and the entire tavern was overturned and blown up from the discharge of wind.

Everyone was sent flying before Mir used her magic to catch everyone and flew after Waid and Dia.

She grabbed them both and flew clear of the island while the two other fairies phased into existence after using their dungeon travel ability to slip out.

“Those two…” Mir said with flames in her eyes but suddenly saw a scene she never expected.

Blowing like a tornado, the two who were the cause of this were floating higher and higher until they finally split and the vortex broke down.

Peter remained in the air but from behind, Hook’s large ship appeared and he fell onto the deck.

“It’s time we end this for good Peter! After I finish you, I will finish all those brats of yours so you can never resurrect!” Hook shouted.

“What a surprise, I was thinking the same thing when I planned to sink that mold covered tub of yours! All those smelly minions of yours will go sleep with you at the bottom of the sea!” Peter said and rushed forward while the ship moved back. Hook jumped forward off the ship and the two collided in midair over the ocean. The vortex formed once more connecting the cloud sea and the upper floor sea, making the entire fifth floor ocean around them form a vortex like whirlpool.

The ships of the guild were in chaos and soon they lifted the anchors to take a distance.

Mir watched in horror as she never expected them to be so strong, she was only 5% her true strength in this form and was stronger than them but not by much. She found that the blades of the two had a synergy and it strengthened each other's effects. The wind vortex, it was slowly forming a vortex of wind blades as Hook’s wild winds and Peter’s concentrated blades merged after colliding.

She did not know how to interfere and they just watched in the air as chaos spread. Not one day passed since Dia changed the theme of the upper floor and old hatred took control from her.
