《A Mediocre Supreme Cultivator》On the Road Again

Fang Hu opened his eyes, it was dawn. Our hero had foregone the need of sleep for every two out of three days, of course, this was only possible while cultivating the night away. If he tried to stay up any longer than that the effects of sleep deprivation settles in. At least, that was what Fang Hu thought was happening, he really didn't know the limits of his own body anymore. He could compare his strength with what he had known of in his past life, but after a certain point, he just couldn't do it anymore. He didn't know if it was because the larger the amount of power the harder it is to measure, or if he didn't know simply because he hadn't been in enough fights lately. They both seemed likely, they could even be both of the causes. Either way, Fang Hu couldn't do anything about it, he couldn't devote the time or the resources to find out, he needed to become as strong as possible as fast as possible. If that meant relying on the system status to gauge enemies, then so be it.
Today was the day. They would be leaving the farm, scholar boy and company had spent three months on this farm. As nice this little farm surrounded by the desolate landscape was, it was high time they left. The "heat" from the fight has had to cooled down a little. Of course, he was dealing with cultivators, so he might have to deal with some cultivator coming at him for this decades from now, but fewer people would have eyes on the closest free city, the best place for them to go. All of Fang Hu's precaution could be pointless, he didn't know if any of the people who attacked him are still alive. Fang Hu shrugged, if all goes well he won't ever see them again. It was time to wake his disciples and finally show them how they would be traveling. Fang Hu laughed to himself, it should be surprising, at the very least.

"Master, where are we going? We don't have enough supplies for a several month journey, and Iron Dragon City might not be safe."
"Relax Jiahao, we won't take even a month to reach our destination, besides, I was ejected from Iron Dragon City, we might not be welcome there at all."
"Where can we go in less than a month, Master? With all due respect, I must say that there is no greater spot within the area to isolate ourselves, and staying at the small villages will only expose us, while not giving us any benefit!"
"Ohh, elder brother, Master has said that he has met with the nomad tribes before! Maybe he wishes to meet with them!"
Before Jiahao could raise more of a ruckus, Fang Hu revealed a crucial piece of information.
"I was able to complete the journey from Iron Dragon City to our current location within five days. That was three months ago, do you want to guess how long it would take me to complete the journey now?"
"Mast- Master, I do not se-"
Before Jiahao could complete his sentence, Fang Hu pulled out a length of heavy rope from inside his robes.
"Jiahao, assist me in securing Little Yi onto my back. You will be making the journey in my arms."
Jiahao sputtered and trying to make up some excuses while citing his 'dignity as a master' or some such. But in the end, Fang Hu was his master, and who was he to deny his master's orders? In almost no time at all, Dai Yi had many ropes tied around herself. She almost looked like a mummy, what with all the ropes and sheets securing her piggyback position. The sheets were there more to stop rope burn than anything else, but Fang Hu supposed that they might also help in securing her to him. Once that was done, Fang Hu simply scooped the old man up and prepared to start running.

"Master Fang, I have to ask, why did you put me in your arms and Little Yi on your back? Wouldn't it be more efficient the other way around?"
"Because you would be less likely to die should I drop you Jiahao."
Maybe it was something Fang Hu said, but Jiahao yelled out in fear when Fang Hu burst out running at an impossible speed.

Cultivation Anomaly
Follow the journey of an individual given a classic cheat trope in a cultivation world. What does a man do when he finds himself unsure of who he really is yet is given a cheat? What really happens to a cultivation world when it is overrun by MC level characters? Is the cultivation world just run by cruel young masters, short-sighted elders and uncaring experts? Note: Tags may be removed or added to this story as it progresses. For example, I added the harem tag because I wasn't sure if it would appear so be forewarn. Also, productive feedback is always appreciated even it may be ignored. Note 2: Original idea inspired by "Arrogant Young Master Template A Variation 4". I wanted to do something similar but have a more gritty realistic feel. The system SHOULD differentiate as the story goes on but if it doesn't it means I need a rewrite. Either way, read AYMTV4, it's great. Note 3: If you give criticism to be helpful, please try to be descriptive, specific, and focused on making my story better, not changing the story to how you would write it. Go to the link below if you want more specifics. https://youtu.be/-6HOdHEeosc?t=3240

How the Stars Turned Red
Announcement as of 05 July 2022: I've been diagnosed with some pretty severe nerve damage in my left arm, rendering me unable to write effectively, and as such this story is on hold until it is healed. I am so sorry, and I promise to get back to writing as soon as possible. In the latter half of the 3rd millennium CE, humanity has spread across the stars, inhabiting close to five-hundred worlds across the Orion Arm. Earth has become irrelevant, a historical has-been. The galactic map is dominated by two mega-factions, both controlling vast amounts of territories either through direct control or through their many allies and treaty signatories. The Kingdom of Aurora is the political and economic hegemon despite consisting of only seven inhabited worlds; their strength lies in the Royal Union, an interstellar commonwealth composing an internal market and a common defence pact. These member worlds are myriad and varied, culturally as well as politically, but they all flock to the same banner. The Independent Systems Alliance, spearheaded by the Republic of Elysium, is the ascendant challenger to Aurora and the Union. A pseudo-federal multi-system polity, the Alliance economy and military is rapidly expanding, but at the cost of effective democratic and meritocratic involvement by its people. However, with two superpowers as this, chafing along a common border, and with a constant clamour of polemics, both sides have become convinced the other is constantly preparing for war and are on the look-out for any perceived weakness in their opponent. The predictable result is a huge arms race and a cold war spreading across the stars, requiring only a spark to set the galaxy aflame. Drawn into this game of high stakes are ordinary men and women, their peaceful lives, hopes, and aspirations swallowed by the vortex of conflict and distrust. This is their story. Cover art by Rhodex Designs (FB). Hope you like long chapters and adjectives. Note: English is not my first language. Another story set in the same universe, written by a good friend

No More Respawns
Synopsis: The first time Allen died, he was forced back into a living hell where death is temporary, and power is all that matters. With evil and depravity as the rule, tragedy becomes comedy and life becomes an act. Only a deal with a shady god can get him back to his old life, but what happens if there’s nothing left to save? Maybe hell isn’t so bad if you have infinite lives… until you don’t. Needless to say, it’s all fun and games until there’s no more respawns. Foreword: This story is meant primarily as an action adventure and secondarily as a dark and nihilistic comedy. It may not be readily apparent in the beginning, but that's what I have planned (I feel the need to emphasize the dark; don’t rage at me if it gets too ‘traumatizing’ or something). I’m going to take my time with this, so it won’t immediately inundate you with doom and gloom. This is also a comedy, remember? On that note, if for some cursed reason you just can't handle either the references or the jokes, I am willing to battle in the comments. Anyway, I still put a significant amount of effort into the system, so I hope you enjoy that part. It is a little bulky, I'll admit to that, but I wanted to try something new and its more fun when there's more depth to it. Regardless, I still have a lot of fun doing math in the middle of writing a fictional story (/s). I also want to see if I can keep from messing up the pacing. Many times, I end up going too fast because I'm afraid of the story getting boring, which tends to ironically have the opposite effect. I'm still learning I suppose; we'll see how things go. Lastly, please leave reviews and comments, they really mean a lot to me and (usually) help me improve considerably. I'll be asking for feedback in the polls and I do still check the old ones from time to time. Notes: The story takes a bit of time to develop; give it time if you're here for drama, grimdark, or antihero. The system is all blue boxes and I'm not half-assing the numbers. Chapters will be between 1k and 2k words usually. I always use the oxford coma, fight me. Might drop if rating falls below 4 stars, idk. It depends on how my life is going. Cover drawn by yours truly in MS paint. (I have skill, I know)
