《A Mediocre Supreme Cultivator》Indecision

Fang Hu was at an impasse, not a literal impasse, he was at the kind that happened when one has no fucking clue what to do. It was a problem in both the long term and the short term. In the long term, he needed to know where he wanted to settle, if he wanted to settle at all. It might be a little hard to gather proper cultivation methods while staying at the same place, he couldn't just always trust auction houses and merchant sects to give him the good stuff. Even if he could, they surely wouldn't be able to match his needs, his entire plan to avoid several hundred years of cultivation hinged on his ability to get his hands on increasingly better cultivation methods and combine them with his own. His own two cultivation techniques were already enough to get him to core formation, techniques at those levels are usually unheard of in the wonton plains, and those that are present are usually guarded by those in positions of power.

So, if he wanted any measure of success, he would have to keep doing what he was doing on a much larger scale, but doing his cycle of xianxia OP bullshittery had already almost gotten him killed once, ignoring the fact that Xiang being there could have ended up saving his life, what would have happened if they had decided to attack him as a group, instead of it just being a rogue agent? He would have been taken down without so much as a peep, that's what. Cultivators doing what cultivators do wasn't even his only problem, he had a major problem that meeting the gunman had brought up.

*MY STATUS, ughhhhhh, how could I forget about that? If somebody sees my status, they'd probably just abduct me on the fucking spot! I clearly don't have the backing or the strength to protect the knowledge I have."

Indeed, if an outworlder came by and saw our hero's status, they'd mug him faster than most criminals would mug American tourists in non-English speaking nations. He's just an easy target. He'd already met one person who was got himself isekai'd, and our hero knows the names of, like, less than thirty people. The system itself had said there's 'plenty' of reincarnated people in this world, Fang Hu didn't know if that meant several thousand people or several billion people, however he did know that his plan would be bust without taking the proper time to gain strength. That just wouldn't do, if he had to take time to cultivate like everyone else then his 'master plan' becomes a 'cool trick' that lets him gain a better cultivation technique without having to use the resources 'money' or 'power' like everyone else.

As much as his entire plan for the future had fallen to pieces, his plan for the present was even more jumbled. He'd been cultivating daily, and that had helped Fang Hu calm himself down considerably. While he was calm, he still didn't even know when he wanted to leave this place. His days were a mix of cultivating, teaching his two disciples on cultivation and reading, caring for Dai Yi, and trying to streamline his cultivation techniques. All while hiding out in an, ahem, rustic house.

He knew he didn't really have to hide, a farmhouse a good bit off from the last village before tribal land wasn't exactly conspicuous, but he knew that his enemies were still likely alive, despite what that man had said. While Xiang had done the most damage, he was well backed and didn't actually kill anyone, Jiang Shui wouldn't have just attacked without being able to deal with the fallout some way or another, he was enraged, but he wouldn't have sacrificed his life for his son's honor, and the diviner was part of a hostile faction anyway, the old man definitely could kill them if he wanted to, but that all depends on how seriously he takes this. Fang Hu didn't know, they could be alive and well or dead in a ditch, it'd been about a month, anything could have happened by then.

All that was just his daily routine, while trying at times, it was actually pretty enjoyable and slightly made up for all the comforts that he had lost. Often time, Fang Hu had felt if this was what monks felt like, he had let go of earthly possessions and spent most of his time meditating. Fang Hu didn't see himself as a monk, he would often times promise himself that he would get real back into the whole 'earthly possessions' thing, as soon as he got a chance.

The real problem was Dai Yi's cultivation. From what Fang Hu had read, combined with his experiences here, cultivating elemental qi, especially fire, could be super dangerous if done improperly. A cultivation rebound for non-elementalist would damage dao pillars, a rebound for an elementalist damages them. The rinky dink little fire technique put together by Fang Hu using a variety of techniques and copious amounts of his 'Theoretical Test' power shouldn't be able to have a rebound until the user reaches foundation establishment, and even then, it would only be possible if cultivated incorrectly. The problem was Dai Yi's bloodline, there's no way of telling how that would affect her cultivation. Frustratingly, he could only get her status to tell him what it was and that it was awakened. Which probably means he needs to find a place that he can read up on bloodlines, and he didn't know how a scholarly sect would react to an outside scholar requesting information.

To surmise, both Fang Hu's long term and short term goals were fucked, and he was low-key stressing about it.
