Hello everyone! I've redone my outline a little bit, and the end of the current arc will be the end of Vol One. That should be in about 12-15 more chapters (4-5 weeks from now), but it is hard to be precise as I outline events not chapters. I plan to make a few changes to the story at that point, before moving into Vol Two.

I expect the process to last 2-3 weeks, but it could take longer. It won't be a complete rewrite, but some chapters will be changed dramatically, new ones will be added, and the ordering could change in parts. I'll continue to post new chapters during that time, but I can't promise more than 1 a week. I've left a list of some of my thoughts below (I've deleted any that contained spoilers from after ch. 48), and I'd love your input, thoughts, or additions.

Story Changes.

New prologue (pre-apocalypse? Possibly a different POV)

Start at a rewritten and expanded Ch. 5; dungeon chapters are Finn briefing Sebbit

Standardize nomenclature, i.e. mana shield/arcane shield

Greatly expand early Peacekeeper chapters, add more training (possibly also from Telvy) and worldbuilding

Early chapters used a lot of section breaks and small time jumps, where I rarely use them in later chapters – standardize this

Rework stats and add regen speeds, consolidate skills where possible. Considering removing health as a stat, and placing more emphasis on stamina.

Rename all pre-tutorial feats to have an animal themed name, i.e. heightened reflexes will become feline reflexes (also add a reward for getting all of them- Magnificent Menagerie?)

Expand the Worthy and Bridgette characters

Add more chapters in New Charleston, show the party with survivors rather than cutting away – show how the survivors are living, more development of Tiller and his family, maybe develop the Captain and Pat more as well.

More foreshadowing about Finn’s dad and his sickness (unsure)

Perhaps more flashbacks to time with Troy and Liv, unsure on this one but needs more build up

Add series name, “Dark Hierophant’s Rise”? (work in progress)

Lots of feedback about not showing enough emotion (Give Finn a more active voice)
