《Reincarnation: First Monster》* IMPORTANT NOTICE *

It's been quite a few long months since I started working on this story, starting my very first outline of it in late summer last year. In hindsight, and as stated by many reviews, my character comes off unemotional or many other attributes similar to such. Perhaps it may seem that way, and you may feel a disconnection to the MC. But I never really meant to portray my character as unemotional (or at least not to such a far extent as most ascribe my MC to be guilty of), just highly pragmatic, accepting changes, and born with a dampened emotional capacity, in which he, as a child, has been prejudiced by many others around him in his human life. And in which, he searches and improve himself for a way of reaching for these emotions he has never regarded. Yet, he fails in this aspect, only able to be a deceiver and a liar, faking emotions and interactions.

There are, and I admit clearly, some loose threads I never tied back in volume 1 and volume 2. The childhood of my character may also have come off weird and disjointed, as do the discourses. And I did intended for them to come off as part lies, part deceiving, and part honesty, for my MC has always been a spectator outside of human life, even when he himself was a human.

Upon further self-remonstration and reflection, I have also done time-skips which perhaps are unnecessary. I have also been called guilty off killing characters off too easily after their introductions, and my MC might even come off as condescending or even uptight, but I have never once believed that. Perhaps it is due to my writing style or some other factors which I do not know of, but regardless, I never meant it for it to come across as that.

These thoughts, on recent and past reviews, have been on my mind for quite some weeks now, and I have finally decided to REVAMP the whole story.

Initially, I was going to revamp the story when I was halfway through, around say volume 5 or 6, but it seems there are always unexpected things.

Thus said, I shall be taking a break from writing any further chapters until I finish revamping the whole story. It shall possibly take me a month, or perhaps even more. I do not know and this is just a rough estimate. Nonetheless, I shall try my best,

A few things to note after the REVAMP:

-There shall no longer be a future MC doing a backstory or even a halfblood vampyre in the cave with him; the story shall instead be in present tense as some have pointed out that it makes for a lack of tension or other such attributes integral to the story. And like a few have said, it is the journey that matters, not the destination. Perhaps, perhaps not.

-Some of the lore of the world (from a human point) shall be integrated earlier on, and the fulcrums and mechanics of human magic shall also be fashioned as such.

-I shall be tying up all the loose threads, as much as possible, and revamping all the dialogues and thoughts of my MC to better portray the feeling I wanted the readers to get from him. It seems I had not succeeded even halfway in that regard.

-There are many other things, of course, but I would not want to write out a whole list that I have been adding to.

Thus said and written, my apologies for this sudden turn of event, and an indefinite month or even longer break, or rather, rewrite.

-Alzeroth
