Anyway, that fact combined with my class being "PERSONAL_SYSTEM" (oh, neat, I can capitalize my thoughts (and put parentheses here, apparently)), indicates a pretty obvious answer.

I can see. Kind of. I've got a dome of perception right now, and some line of sight within it? The dome is strongest around a center point, and then it starts losing effectiveness maybe ten, twenty meters out. I'm going to have to test it out, later. I've got the same sightless perception inside it, like I can feel everything but my skin is really really numb.

I think... I think I might have gotten attached to a guy. I just saw the stats of this Jerome fella pop into my mind, and it looks like he's looking at them right now.

If everything I was told was true...

I suppose there's worse people I could've gotten attached to. This guy's stats look pretty solid, at least. Then again, having not seen anything else in this world, I can't really judge for sure.

We--or he, I guess, I still don't have a physical body--are in the middle of a grassy field, one with blades that go past Jerome's hip. Looks like he got reincarnated with Earth-style clothes. Jeans and a long-sleeved shirt, which has got to be making him hot. Not that I can tell, since I can't feel the temperature without focusing on it.

There's a town off in the distance, I think, but it's kind of fuzzy. Some deep part of me tells me that the name of that town is Maplecrest, and I'm not sure if I like that. Having knowledge that I didn't even know about... that indicates something weird with the Origin System.

Speaking of which, I totally forgot to be mad at it for sticking me somewhere without my consent! Like, what the hell, man? I didn't even get a tutorial!

Oh hey. There's an animal approaching Jerome. I have that same numb-touch blind-sight sensation with it, but there's something more. Like I can connect to it. Hang on, I'll try.
