V2 Chapter 13-
Sol moved speedily through the waterway, his face solemn as the speed increased ten fold. He had no reason to worry about air, Zee's water magic created several air bubbles which allowed him to breathe. His heart in shambles, yet his eyes gleamed with resolve.
The tunnel was dark and it carried a faint blue light which was Zee's magic, after who knows how long Sol could finally see light approaching as the tunnel suddenly started aiming upward.
*SPLISH*
With a crisp sound, Sol shot out of the waterway into mid air followed by a fountain of water that spat him out. He twisted his body in mid air and regained his posture landing on his feet gently, he took a deep breathe of fresh air and looked around at his familiar surroundings.
(It seems I'm here again...I wonder how the royal family of Earthernvale has been doing...According to my parents Claire's pod should have landed not too far from Earthernvale. I should still stop and go see them as they took care of me when I could not do so myself, I have to go pay my respects to Granny too) -Sol
As Sol thought about Medical Saint Renissa, he couldn't help but feel warm in his heart. The only person he had only felt a bit of attachment too, was her. She was the first person he saw when he woke up, the one who bonded with him the quickest and she was sincere and kind. Thinking about her cold scowl that was filled with warmth he let out a resounding laugh.
With a flash of bright emerald light Hydreas appeared beneath his feet, Hydrian similarly came out and slithered her way to her spot around his neck. Vritra also made his way to Sol's wrist and wrapped around it naturally, they were happy to finally be able to come out and had finished resting from removing the excessive poison from Sol.
The technique he had used to kill the two Ape Gods was a dangerous one upon it's first activation, but Sol was pleased to know he would not have to suffer such pain again and the initial exposure had quickly formed anti-bodies and it merged into his body. The next time, the technique would only merely tire him out, the purity of the technique before had surpassed his resistance and was the reason why it caused him damage.
As Sol thought these things, he continued to move forward as he sat cross-legged on Hydreas who moved at full speed through the terrain as per Sol's orders. There were a few lurking weak beasts but they scampered away upon seeing Sol and feeling his venomous and powerful aura.
**
Sol had just passed the make shift fort where Nightmaster Duke awaited his return, a tinge of nostalgia flashed through his eyes as he let out a warm smile.
(This....is where I started my first battle, Haha...It's been so long) -Sol
Suddenly a noise startled Sol and it came from inside the fort!
*Neigh* *Neigh*
As Sol shifted his head, he was surprised to see a muscular black horse running toward him, after observing it for a bit he noticed it was the one he had rode out on his first mission. It came running at a terrifying speed with happiness in it's eyes as soon as it saw Sol, the latter was dumb-founded. Sol hopped off of Hydreas' head and walked a step forward to meet it as he didn't want Hydreas misunderstanding it for food.

[You....how long have you been waiting here?] -Sol
The horse appeared before Sol and vigorously rubbed it's head on Sol and even started head-butting him lovingly. Seeing this vicious looking black muscular horse with red eyes, Sol felt nothing but love from it as he rubbed it's head and produced a few fruits and fed him.
[To think you would wait out here....what's more you can even tell who I am even though my appearance has changed....Good boy..] -Sol
The Black horse seemed to want Sol to ride him and stole glances at Hydreas, surprisingly looking at her with cold eyes as it saw Sol riding on top of her head. The stead seemed to have a proud and noble air about him, it seemed it would only allow Sol to ride anything else over it's literal dead body.
[Hahaha! Don't worry, your spot is still here! She is my Soul Beast, you're spot is yours] -Sol
Sol laughed and was quite happy to meet this guy again, he quickly climbed onto it's back and it stomped it's feet viciously as steam left it's nostrils. If he rode Hydreas through the streets it would cause too much trouble, the arrival of this guy can only be called fate.
As Sol thought of it this way he smiled and urged him forward, Hydreas who had reluctantly started practicing Light Affinity did not mind at all and minimized herself using element compression and wrapped around Sol's free wrist. Hydreas didn't mind not being a mount anymore, and she knew once Sol was going into battle; she would certainly be a mount then.
With a kick off from the floor, the horse sped off at an alarming rate! Much faster than the first time, it was only then had Sol realized this guy had actually lowered his power last time for Sol not to feel discomfort.
(This guy...it seems he ranked up to the 7th order) -Sol
What Sol didn't know was this particular horse was very different, not only was it a beast that could cultivate but it was a variant. This particular variant was called "Darknight Stallion" and it was quite a proud creature, Darknight Stallions could only possess a single rider and would rather die than be possessed by someone else.
Surprisingly, they only ate meat as opposed to their original species the Brown Stalwart Stallion who were herbivores.
This was the reason it cultivated harder than usual, it didn't believe Sol had died and for some reason it was sure about it. He wanted to become powerful enough to go search for Sol, and even though it sounded like a dream he continued to cultivate in that same spot. He never once moved for an entire year and remained within the fort, only coming out to eat the meat which Nightmaster Duke prepared for it.
Even when the 2nd Queen who Sol saved had arrived, it did not allow the Queen to ride it or allow Nightmaster Duke to take it back to Earthernvale and insisted on remaining here.
For some reason though, it had not seen Nightmaster Duke for a month but the horse could feed itself on a few lesser animals and did not starve at all. Now that Sol had returned, it felt like it could trample the world as it's rightful owner returned. Sol had to admit this horse had quite the personality, it wasn't scared of Hydreas at all and approached Sol without regard for it's own life.
**
As Sol continued on, it wasn't long before he was able to see the walls of Earthervale- however, he became incomparably shocked!
All over the walls were holes of all kinds, though the gates remained standing; he could see crowds of people gathered at the front gates. Sol urged the horse to slow down while concealing himself in the grasslands and he stared at the crowds of people gathered nearby and started inspecting them.
The shimmering lights flashing off of them Sol knew instantly what they was-
(Armor? Swords?....Hmm..War huh. Still, this is quite the party. Judging from the several different outfits....I'd say at least four different armies are here. What did Julius do to incite the wrath of this many kingdoms?) -Sol
Sol put on a thoughtful expression for a bit, but couldn't come up with anything. Shortly afterward a terrible grin curved upon Sol's face as a dangerous gleam flickered in his pretty bejeweled and animalistic eyes.
(Well it's not like it matters anyway, Hydreas didn't get to hunt today) -Sol
Finally a voice erupted outward from the city walls which Sol was able to hear clearly, and he knew this voice sounded very familiar.
[Have you all no shame?! To gather up and wipe us out for some dream potion that doesn't even exist! You think the world won't hear of this massacre and treachery!] -Nightmaster Duke
The cold familiar voice was filled with anger and hatred rung out from on top the gates of the wall, as Sol shifted his gaze he noticed the old grey-haired man with the familiar face and let out a laugh.
(Well this is rather interesting...Dream potion?) -Sol
Sol decided to watch for a bit and hear the conversation.
[Don't pretend like you don't have it! We saw the medical reports! To think you have something like that but kept it to yourselves! You are the wrong one! To keep such a treasure from mankind even though you know we aren't very far from extinction. Hand it over or die!] -???
As Sol shifted his gaze over to the four armies, he discovered this voice belonged to an arrogant looking man who tried to give off a righteous demeanor despite the fact that he was attempting to destroy a city for a single treasure of some sort.
The man wore a silver armor that covered most of his body except his head, he had brown hair that curled down his back with blue eyes and was slightly handsome. He had a thick black feathered mantle with the head of a golden serpent patterned on the back, it was elegantly adorned with several different types of jewels and seemed like a King's garment. His age seemed to be in his late 30's and anyone could see the greed erupting from his eyes.
Beside him were three other men who were dressed just as lavishly, one in an elegantly adorned blue robe covered in jewelry, a face filled with arrogance and as ugly as a goat. He had fat lips and beady eyes, an uneven mustache and an overall ugly facial bone structure.
The other seemed to have a lustful disposition, he had long black hair and was quite handsome. His white teeth sparkled like diamonds, and he wore a white armor not fit for a battlefield; around him several woman sat awaiting his every need.
He seemed in his early 30s and did not seem to care too much about the battlefield as he played with the women beside him and ignored the confrontation. The general beside him in battle-armor seemed greatly distressed, it was obvious the lustful handsome fellow was a prince of some sort and had been giving him a hard time.
The last man looked fierce and quiet, he had sturdy brawny shoulders and serious eyes. It was hard to tell what he was thinking as he looked at the other 2 Kings and the prince as if they were fools with an air of indifference. His head was wrapped in a black cloth and so was his lower face, showing only his indifferent green eyes. On his back, two large blades obviously meant for someone who was accustomed to large scale battles.
Sol looked at the four, and his gaze immediately fell on Silver Armored King who acted as the leader. His emerald golden eyes focused on the black elegantly feathered mantle with the serpent emblem and his eyes sparkled. He quickly scanned the man and found out he also had a cane with a golden serpent head emblem, and matching golden earrings. Sol seeing this became elated and his eyes sparkled with an intense light, the greed was....unconcealable.
(What exquisite taste in jewelry and clothing!..Truly a good man) -Sol
Sol immediately kicked his black stallion he named "Nightmare" and sped off toward the King with shining eyes. Hydrian and Hydreas understood the look on Sol's face, it was the same look when he saw a precious herb and instantly they knew what to do. With a flash of light, they left Sol's neck and wrist respectively and enlarged themselves to their original form speeding towards the King!
It didn't take long for the crowd of people to notice the two large serpentine silhouettes, they instantly became pale! One S-Rank was enough to make them scatter, facing two was just much too horrendous. They knew the Basilisk before them were at the very least above S-Rank because of their size and the dreadful bloodthirsty aura that suppressed them!
[Slaughter any resistance, break their wills and circle their Kings] -Sol
Sol immediately gave out commands to the twins as he leisurely rode over. The twins upon hearing this order immediately shredded the soldiers in front of them and ground them to dust with sheer force and raw power. Their muscular serpentine body coupled with scales harder than steel easily made short work of the few soldiers that raised their weapons.
Hydrian and Hydreas did not even eat the humans and looked at them in disdain as they slaughtered mercilessly. They did not even bother using their elements and ruthlessly crushed them into pieces with a fearsome charge or grouped them up and constricted them into liquid.
The scene of utter carnage made the army drop their weapons as they looked on in fear, some even turned around and tried running away. The ones who had picked up weapons to charge had now turned around and either taken a step back in fear or rode off to retreat.
[Stop! Stop!] -Silver Armored King
The horrified yells of the King who seemed to be the commander of the Joint Army garnered the attention of the twins Basilisks, who then turned to look at him lazily and stopped killing. As per Sol's orders, they killed the opposition and broke their wills, then they circled the Kings. The Silver Armored King's gaze switched between Sol and the Basilisks as if afraid of both attacking him.
(Oh my god!...Where did these creatures come from? and this stinking damn kid to be able to control these S-Ranks. How can he be such a powerful practitioner, he couldn't possibly be from a backwater place like this..can he?) -Silver Armored King
The Silver-Armored King lost his composure as his face changed greatly, his pupils contracted as if he had met the devil himself. This was the first time the situation had ever been out of his hands, as the commander of the joint army he had quite a large force behind him and he was at the early S-Rank which gave him a vote of confidence.
The Blue Robed King's face wasn't much better off and became even uglier to behold as a sense of dread welled up in his heart. However, he had some hope as he was very confident in his words and he believed as long as Sol wasn't from Earthernvale then he could escape with his life at the very least, after all; he did not offend Sol. His gaze slid over to the twins and he took a quick glance before once more focusing on Sol, however he couldn't hide the terror in his eyes.
(Are those Basilisks?! No one said such creatures lived out here!!) -Blue Robed King
The lustful young prince seemed to be struck by lightning as a liquid leaked from his pants making one of the young women beside him scream, his face became filled with horror as he saw finally brought his face from between a woman's breasts and saw the situation.
He was neither a practitioner nor a powerful King and was only here on orders from his father, naturally he was scared to the bone. As a man who based his life around the perfect mounds of a woman, he naturally had absolutely no field experience at all and was pale beyond comparison. The general beside him, even much more so because he had to trust the fates of his men to this bed-wetting nipple groper.
(SHIT! Now is not the time! Where did this beast come from?...I should have known it wouldn't be this easy...If I possessed that potion, I would have certainly created a few lifeforms already. Could it be...These S-Ranks are products of that potion?) -Black cloaked King
The Black cloaked King looked at them as horror appeared in his eyes, surprisingly, he still seemed to retain some calm and this was proof of his veteran experience. He mulled over the fact that before him was possibly the potential of the potion and was quite horrified by what he saw and even a bit delighted.
The Black Cloaked King's gaze shifted to the silhouette behind the two powerful Basilisks and felt his blood run cold, a handsome human youth who looked absolutely bizarre riding on a black stallion with a cold look in his eyes stared right back at him! The mischievous smile on the young man's face seemed to belong to a predator that enjoyed playing with it's prey.
(Is he commanding them...? It certainly looks as such...then...could he also be?) -Black cloaked King
Suddenly the Black Cloaked King had a bad premonition as he looked at Sol, he could see the bestial features and the ancient aura he felt from Sol made his back cold with sweat. As someone who built his own Kingdom through rivers of blood and filthy gold coins, he was a man who possessed quite a bit of wisdom and was able to notice threats, no matter how minuscule.
When he looked at Sol, he didn't feel a threat at all. What he felt was absolutely nothing, and that terrified him to no small degree. He had always been able to sense threats, yet this young man in front of him gave off no feel at all. It was like he had encountered something so powerful and indifferent to it's surroundings that it regarded everything as nothing.
He decided in his heart, no matter what he wasn't going to offend the young man before him because he didn't want to lose everything he worked hard for. He wasn't like these other Kings and princes who inherited everything and had everything at his beck and call.
He killed and murdered, stole and coerced, robbed and pillaged. He did every worthy and unworthy thing to create a Kingdom of his own, encountering an expert like Sol was the first time he had ever felt like he could lose it all in a single stroke. As a man who had long discarded his pride, it wasn't a hard decision for him to lower his head here to protect his investments.
The fierce gleam in his eye died down and the intense aura around him dissipated and Sol instantly felt this change from him. Sol smiled at him and the Black Cloaked King felt his hair stand on end.
[You are a guy.....that will reach very far in life!] -Sol
**
In only a few breathes time, the Kings, the generals and the servants were separated from the rest of the army and had been encircled by the two Basilisks. Hydreas and Hydrian sneered and viciously circled around them while snapping their jaws and giving off a treacherous aura keeping the army at bay.
They dared not to move a single step even if their King was before them and in great peril, this was the result of utter fear. Two domineering existences before them made them feel feeble and weak, they knew if they stepped forward the basilisks would certainly rip them to shreds.
The fact that it hadn't attacked them yet was proof they were being controlled by someone, and if they were being controlled by someone then there was still a way out of this. If they could find out what the person wanted, then they could be spared, but it was obvious that the situation had escalated out of their hands.
Sol casually approached the Kings riding on Nightmare, he glanced at the silver armored King and hopped off of his horse and approached him.
[My lord, please tell this one whatever you desire] -Silver Armored King
The Silver Armored King looked at Sol as he prostrated himself shamelessly before Sol, Sol laughed valiantly and heroically as he walked beside him. Sol said not a single word, and immediately took off his mantle and grabbed his cane. He pulled out the earrings from the King's ear followed by a trail of blood followed as he ripped them out.
[You have great taste...Haha] -Sol
As Sol's cold and sinister voice issued out softly, it made the hairs on their skin stand up and made their goosebumps rise. Sol smiled embarrassingly as he took the jewelry off of the Silver Armored King, his enlarged canines protruding subconsciously make their blood freeze as his face was filled with mischief.
He couldn't help the embarrassed and shy smile he gave as this was his first time robbing people, it made him feel a bit ashamed...but he didn't dislike the feeling.
However the Kings and their servants had seen something else entirely; whether it be his cold emerald golden serpent like eyes, or his protruding canines that looked like fangs it terrified them beyond belief. The redness on his face seemed like suppressed killing intent in their eyes and dared not look at him directly.
Vritra watched this all calmly on Sol's wrist and decided not to participate as he looked at the humans disdainfully, seeing this Sol let out a laugh.
Sol took out his Water Orb and immediately washed the jewelry and then lightly lit it on fire to dry it, all this was done in front of the other Kings.
[My lord you can have the jewelry, but my mantle represents my right to the kingdom... anything but--] -Silver Armored King
*SLAP*
[What did you say? Say it again] -Sol
The Silver Armored King was slapped ridiculously and was sent flying into a few of his servants, all his teeth were gone and blood trails followed behind him.
[I decided to spare you in light of the fact that you had some nice things that suited me, this is my first time robbing people; don't make me kill you to go over that loophole. After all, items only belong to living people right? So if this mantle represents your Kingdom and I've taken a liking to it, should I demolish your Kingdom for it? Beside..having an emblem like this serpent's head is an offense to me *Grin*] -Sol
Upon hearing these cold word that carried unbelievable blood lust, the Silver Armored King seemed to have shrunk into nothing and dared not meet his eyes. He thought as a King and the commander of the army, Sol would give him some face and now he saw that it was all just a dream, there was no such thing as saving face.
[No! No my lord! This is a gift to you! Offerings! Robbing people is a kind act my lord, it saves lives!] -Lustful prince
The lustful prince immediately bowed his head, and offered all off the jewelry he wore to Sol. Sol took a glance but wasn't interested, then he remembered something and suddenly asked.
[You have women's jewelry?] -Sol
The lustful prince immediately nodded and called over his women taking off everything from them and presenting them to Sol. Sol quickly shifted through as he chose ones that suited the women he knew, he was getting jewelry of the highest quality from these Kings and leisurely hummed a tune as he took a few.
[Hmm..hmm....I'll take this sun and moon earrings, and this one...this one too...] -Sol
Sol chose a few pieces and that made the Kings look at him weirdly, Sol only took the pieces he liked and ignored the rest. They only now believed that Sol had stopped them only because he was interested in the Silver Armored King's jewelry and mantle and they let out a sigh of relief as this was undoubtedly good news for them.
(Could it be, he was really only after the jewelry and mantle? What sort of weird person is this guy? The weird hair and eye color, the weird tastes in serpents...not to mention he sort of looks like one....how the hell can a single person be that beautiful? Not a single blemish...my daughter would kill him just for having those facial features) -Black cloaked King
[My lord, can it be that the only purpose you stopped us is because of the jewelry?] -Black cloaked King
Sol glanced toward the Black cloaked King with a cold smile which made him shiver.
[Well you see, I'd like to know just why so many armies have appeared here] -Sol
Upon hearing this the four Kings faltered for a bit, however meeting Sol's gaze and the twin Basilisks that circled them they understood there would be no reward if they lied. The Blue Robed King seemed to think of something and looked at Sol with a greedy gaze for a split second before opening his mouth-
[My lord apparently this Kingdom possesses a potion that could change the way of the world! Look each of us have these medical reports that were sent to us with a King's seal, my lord please read this report] -Blue Robed King
The other Kings instantly caught on to what the Blue Robed King was trying to do and nodded their heads and added their pieces.
[Great Lord even greater than my father and grandfather, he speaks the truth here is my report!] -Lustful prince
[This is true, we came here to spread this potion amongst our Kingdoms and yet they want to keep it for themselves! We were merely doing the work of mankind!] -Silver Armored King
The Black Cloaked King said nothing but handed his report over with a gleam in his eyes, within it had hope and greed.
Sol browsed through the report, when he saw the components; he was utterly shocked and then he placed his palm on his face and let out an infectious laughter. A cold light flickered in his eyes unknown to anyone else, he then turned to face them with an indifferent expression.
[So this is what you came here for? Hmm, doesn't something like this seem to be too good to be true?] -Sol
As Sol spoke these words, the Kings thought for a bit and the Blue Robed King immediately responded.
[My lord, it may be so but I hardly think these reports are fake, altered maybe but not fake. I've been having a suspicion I dared not want to tell anyone but my Lord is different and I will not hide anything from my lord] -Blue Robed King
Sol looked at the Blue Robed King as if he were a clown and then smiled.
[Continue..] -Sol
The Blue Robed King immediately opened his fat ugly lips.
[My Lord, I believe that these reports may actually be from a living organism or more precisely....a human! I believe there is already a human who possesses these traits! The King who sent out these reports carefully hid this fact in order to take advantage of the chaos and attain the true source of these reports!] -Blue Robed King
Sol's eyes narrowed as he looked at the Blue Robed King who seemed to actually not be a fool, he smiled lightly and then asked.
[Then who is it that gave these reports, who is it that possesses such credibility for four armies to make a move on a treasure that may or may not exist] -Sol
Sol calmly looked at them as he spoke and the Lustful Prince hopped forward like a beckoned dog at Sol's feet.
[It was the King of Nar Kingdom, his name is Frau Veles Einclad my lord. He was the one that sent out these reports to us] -Lustful prince
[And where exactly is this Kingdom of Nar?] -Sol
This question surprised the four Kings and their attendants but they dared not show it on their faces and continued to smile. This only deepened their belief that Sol wasn't from Earthernvale and made them relax even more.
The Lustful Prince stepped up with a smile on his face and brought a well detailed map over to Sol. The latter quickly took a look at the map and nodded.
(This is a good map, It's the first one I've seen. I'm guessing their Kingdom is much more powerful than Earthernvale..Hmm...Kingdom of Nar..It's in the same direction as Claire) -Sol
(Something must have happened to the pods and they aren't as close as they were designed to be. I might as well go along with this Joint Army, take care of this Frau Veles Einclad and make my way to meet her) -Sol
Sol thought for a bit and then smiled, however his eyes were not.
[Good, then listen to what you all are going to do. You're going to take these four armies, your going to march right up to his door and you're going to kill him] -Sol
Sol's words completely stupefied them,
[My lord? I beg you pardon? It seems I didn't hear correctly] -Silver Armored King
Sol laughed and spoke again-
[Your going to take these four armies, your going to go to the Kingdom of Nar and kill the King and you have one years time in which to do it or I'll kill you all] -Sol
Sol looked at them and revealed a cold sneer, his emerald eyes flashed with a deep green and it made the blood of all who saw it freeze.
[You didn't hear me again? I said...Your going to go to the Kingdom of Nar. Kill the King. Half a year's time] -Sol
Sol gradually started adding penalties that scared them half to death, the Silver-Armored King became pale as the blood drained from his face, The lustful prince's mouth opened and closed and was too scared to say anything. A hurried voice finally broke the silence-
[No my lord! We heard you the first time, it was merely a bit of wind that muddled our brains!] -Blue Robed King
The Blue Robed King knelt before Sol with a disgusting smile on his ugly face and insisted he heard everything.
Sol no longer bothered with them and then said a few last words.
[You'll have to wait here, leave and you die] -Sol
(Vritra, kill them if they flee) -Sol
Vritra immediately slithered off of Sol's wrist as it nodded it's head and enlarged himself, his cold green eyes staring coldly at the four Kings as he coiled up beside them. The Kings upon sensing a terrible stench of death and the fact that they did not recognize it made them all the more fearful.
As all this was going on, Nightmaster Duke stared at Sol in utter disbelief.
(That horse...He's..He's really alive) -Nightmaster Duke
Instantly a sense of joy and happiness welled up within the old man's face as he stared at Sol. He completely ignored the fact that Sol had commanded over three fearsome beasts as if it was something he expected.
Even Sol's new appearance didn't bother him at all. Nightmaster Duke wasn't a man that thought about things too hard, he knew Sol was abnormal and would have abnormal means, and just accepted the situation naturally. Overall he was just happy the young man was alive.
Sol turned around and looked towards Nightmaster Duke, he gave a nod with a huge grin.[/color]
