V2 Chapter 11-
Inside Sol's conscious-
A Skeleton dressed as a King wearing a jeweled crown of bones sat in a rather relaxed manner on a throne made of darkness and bones, his face in smiles looking at Sol with an expression of humor. The latter's face however, was in a state of confusion as he listened to the Undead King.
[Let me put it in simpler terms kid, you were never ever supposed to encounter me. Well, maybe in a few more years Hahahaha! No but seriously, we were never supposed to meet before your death or at least not now. Allow me to elaborate-
There are two kinds of people capable of summoning my presence kid, the first kind are mass murdering loonies, genocidal psychopaths or people who just love killing and have killed so many people that their hands eternally smell of blood even in the underworld. Their compatibility with death becomes incredibly high and they can delve into my insights.
The second kind are people who were born with high compatibility and comprehension of death, those kinds are rare and aren't from this world. They were called Necromancers, people who delved into all manners of dark sorcery and unholy rituals in other worlds.
I'm actually quite fond of them, some of them have pretty good humor..I once knew a guy who knew a guy, that set several million undead on fire and dropped them from the sky in another world. Hahaha the people from that world went screaming around and going crazy, you wouldn't believe how many of them killed themselves and visited me that night ...Hahaha.
*Ahem*
Anyway, back to the main topic; you are neither of them. Now I know the reason you were able to summon me, your soul was changed by this "Black Technology" and it resulted in a bit of an abnormality. I won't say that it's a good abnormality but I won't say that it's bad idea, because of it you were able to acquire the insight of Death.
Though my insights may hold no power in the natural world, it's a good support technique to train in. With it you can suppress a great number of foes in a moment of peril, or you can suppress someone stronger than you that may be a troublesome foe.
Still, the activation requirements are very harsh and a bit of a gamble; you must either be near to deaths door or unleash a technique terrifying enough to surely bring about death to the beings in your surroundings. Your black arrow is one such technique, it carried a heavy stench of death and it's methods were certainly cruel.
The fact that you killed so many apes in such a short time and had entered the border of death at least two times, it's because of these factors you were able to suppress a late stage God-Ranked beast. Did you think he just fell on his knees willingly? A proud God-Ranked beast would never do that unless he was terrified down to his soul, and that is the power of the insight of Death] -Death God
Suddenly the Death God turned his face towards the darkness for no reason at all and stared at it. An emerald light flashed on the Death God and he seemed to increase his vigilance a bit. After a while he turned to face Sol and then regained his horrid smile.

[Well kid it was nice to meet you, but it seems I've overstayed my welcome. The Emerald one is quite obsessive over you and it's not a foe I would like to deal with at the moment. So this is where we part ways, I have a hell of a lot things to do and I'll be keeping an eye on you. Well if you want to see me, you can always die and take a vacation, Bwahahaha!!] -Death God
Sol hearing this felt a shiver run down his spine.
(Who the hell would want you keeping an eye on them?!) -Sol
Sol shook his head and suppressed his real thoughts and hurriedly spoke.
[Wait! I have a question!] -Sol
The Death God smiled horridly and then stopped Sol with his hand.
[There are some things you shouldn't ask kid, It's much better not to know...Well I wasn't going to tell you much but I'll give you a bit of service for the Emerald one's sake.
Kid you have a choice, you can choose to ignore this insight and be perfectly fine or you can continue to train in the insight of Death and risk perhaps becoming a madman in the future. Still if you decide to train in Death, then do so as much as you want however I will warn you seriously, the more powerful you become in this insight the more unforgiving your personality will become.
You need to find something to counter the darkness within you and suppress your urges before it's too late. You seem to be able to "adapt" quite easily *grin* so you shouldn't have much to worry about. You were born with the Affinity for Light so luckily you already have a good method to suppress it for now.
My best advice is to you is to acquire the Water Affinity, Water represents life and with it you can whole-heartedly suppress any and all side effects. Right now you possess two Affinities that corrupt your soul, Poison and Death and only one Counter-Affinity, Light. You practice medicine and that is also a type of Affinity to life but it is more a superficial Affinity and worldy thing.
As for how you can go about acquiring Water Affinity, that's up to you kid because I wouldn't know the first thing about how you can go about doing it. However judging from what I've seen you seem to need a catalyst big enough to jump start the abnormality in your body to acquire resonance.
As for what that catalyst would be, I wouldn't know. I'll tell you one thing though, this world is filled with marvels kid, it wouldn't be strange for a solution to your problem to be lying around somewhere waiting for you to discover it. Well anyway, I have my business to attend to so may we meet again soon!] -Death God
[Who the hell would want to meet you again soon!] -Sol
This time Sol couldn't suppress his thoughts as the angered words left his mouth accompanied by the Skeleton King's mocking laughter. The Death God then disappeared into the green portal leaving a dumbfounded Sol sitting there with a bit of an angered expression. Sol suddenly felt his eyes closing and then he suddenly opened them and regained consciousness.
**
An unconscious Sol laid on the floor of his cave, on his body three different serpent tattoo's representing his Soul Beasts were within him resting. All of the dark veins within his body had already been dispersed and all of his wounds healed but Sol had remained unconscious for nearly 2 weeks. This had nothing to do with the injury but because he had been speaking to Death.
It had only felt like a few minutes to Sol but 2 weeks had already gone by, talking to Death was a frightening thing. Even merely speaking with him for a few hours would cause a mortal to shrivel up with old age and die.
Next to the unconscious Sol a beautiful woman in her early twenties who possessed the lower body of a serpent coiled next to him, though her face seemed slightly cold anyone who saw her current face would be surprised at the warmth and would notice these changes.
She slowly damped a cloth and wiped Sol's body gently, his naked appearance made her face slightly flushed red and she tried her hardest not to peer at Sol's naked body, and miserably failed a few times. This woman was Zeshala'sele Vashjara who had returned a week ago in an incredible hurry.
After she had heard the news of Sol's battle, she was greatly relieved and rushed toward his cave, all the other inhabitants stayed away from the cave once she had returned to give her privacy.
As Zee finished wiping down Sol, she stared at his bewitching face as he slept and drew her face near. She sniffed him, placed her slender fingers on his face and gently slid her fingers down them. She then touched his hair and examined it as if looking at the changes since his merge with the poison.
(...You've become quite powerful...) -Zee
Though she said this, there was not a trace of happiness on her face but rather sadness. She knew he would soon leave to go look for his fiance that came down with him, his rightful fiance. As she began thinking of these things, her expression gradually became a bit hollow-
*Kiss*
As she was deep in thought, she had not realized that Sol had woke up and he quickly planted a kiss on her lips making her move away a step in surprise. Her face deep flushed with red as she stared at Sol with a bit of fear, which was ironic considering she had long regained her strength and she could easily push away Sol.
[What are you doing?!] -Zee
Sol laughed as the cold and angered voice of Zee rung out with a threatening hiss, but he did not give up, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her on the straw bed toward him. Whether she had purposefully not resisted in fear of damaging him or whether it was intentional, Zee fell into his embrace.
[Stop! No--] -Zee
Sol pulled her towards him and placed his lips over hers once more, Zee struggled weakly for a moment but faded soon after as tears ran down her eyes.
[Y-You can't do this] -Zee
Zee gave him a last struggle as she placed her hands on his chest to push him away, but proved to be futile as Sol had no intentions of letting up and held her even more tightly.
[Why don't you kill me then? That is the only other way to retrieve the last bit of your blood essence and your freedom. If you do not retrieve the last bit of it, it will disappear once more permanently and you will forever remain weak. I'll make it easy for you then..] -Sol
He whispered softly into her ears and the words made her shiver, Sol's reaction was incredibly fast as he pulled out a common steel dagger from runic ring. The blade in his hand lit up as he sent Light and Fire Magic directly into the blade making it give off intense heat.
*Puchi*
Sol penetrated his chest in a swift and fluid motion, the enhanced blade slid through his flesh like butter stopping an inch before his heart. Blood spurted wildly and some directly splashed on Zee's hands. Sol took his other hand and placed Zee's hand on the steel dagger's handle.
[Zee, you only have two options. If you want your freedom from me so much then it is only an inch away, I will not blame you. Otherwise, you will forever be mine and if that is a fate worse than death for you, then do as you please. This life is one that you saved and gave a home too, it's yours to take] -Sol
As Sol spoke, his eyes had not wavered and his expression remained with the same warm smile. He gazed into Zee's disturbed eyes deeply and firmly wrapped her hands around the dagger, a trail of blood leaked from his mouth.
[STOP! Are you crazy?!] -Zee
Zee's hands trembled on the dagger as the blood made her terrified, she quickly pulled out the dagger and quickly placed her blue glowing hands over the wound in a panic chanting Water Magic. As the blood flowed crazily, the panicked Zee felt her heart tremble and her frozen expression had totally become destroyed.
She had absolutely forgotten Sol had Light Affinity in a panic and only when she noticed the steam did she remember; but she still finished her water healing spell. She had not considered killing him for even a second and was horrified at the blood, Zee still had some resistance toward him and to the circumstances but had never entertained the thought of killing him and rather...she wanted to know what laid at the end of this road.
The thoughts of killing Sol had long faded bit by bit during the time Sol had spent in Serpent Falls, eventually it had finally dispersed completely. It was replaced with worry and concern, and even more heated feelings.
[Then you choose option two!] -Sol
Sol pulled her into his embrace once more, this time there was no resistance at all and she buried her head of crimson flowing hair in his chest avoiding the wounded area.
[....That wasn't fair..making me choose under pressure..what If I killed you?] -Zee
Sol grinned and lightly sniffed her hair, getting lost in it's rich fragrance.
[Of course you wouldn't, Naturally, you would choose a handsome man like me] -Sol
Zee lifted her head in disgust at the arrogant speech, but was met with another kiss that closed her opened lips. Her final barrier had already fallen and Sol did not let her stop to catch her breathe this time, this time he decided she would not get away. It was time to fulfill a promise.
Their faces became hot and red as the kiss evolved and they laid together on the straw bedding and traded saliva a few times. The heat continued to rise as Sol's hands became unrestrained and moved over her body wildly as they kissed passionately and their true feelings had become known.
Zee's eyes became sparkled, dazzling and a bit hollow making her look even more seductive which made Sol stupefied. It was as if she had begun to act on instinct, her body lit up in a flash of light as her lower body changed to that of a human and the red clothing that clung to her body disappeared. Her face became the color of an apple as she hid it behind her long red hair and was unable to meet Sol's gaze.
Seeing Zee's naked body for the first time, Sol had now only truly seen just how beautiful she was. It was almost like she stepped out of the painting of a Goddess, her long crimson hair covered her chest and clung to her pale white skin. Her slender waist stood out in contrast to her supple thighs, giving her the appearance most men would go to war for.
Sol's mind suddenly went blank for a few moments as he gazed at her, Zee did not make eye contact with him as her embarrassment peaked. Sol once more gripped onto her and the two clung to one another as their hands wandered and caressed one another sharing kisses in between.
They were both bare-skinned already arousing the two to the point of no return, as they laid down they crossed legs and gripped one another in a fiery lustful. Sol's hands reached to her chest as he fondled her perfect pale mounds ceaselessly, Zee's pleasured moans filled the cave and roused Sol's carnal desires to the extreme, Zee bit her lips and held onto the back of his head as her fingers became buried in his hair. Her moans continued to grow louder and more frequent the longer it continued, Sol seemed to be driven by these sounds as started becoming familiar with a woman's body.
Sol could no longer hold on and made his way to her most precious part, his fingers ran down her legs and caressed them before separating them both. Sol with a gentle lean in, took Zee's most precious treasure as his hips lightly pressed between her supple thighs. As their bodies became entwined, a layer of red covered the two and protected their bodies from the outside. This was the last bit of blood essence.
At first both Sol pressed down on her gently, they both joined hands and pressed their lips together, tears came from Zee's face as her eyes remained closed and her voice rose higher in accordance with Sol's groans as the two became lost in one another. The moans only grew louder until the sound could no longer be hidden, anyone who passed nearby would immediately know what was happening.
The scent of a man and a woman filled the cave as the pleasured sounds filled the air, the longer it continued the more intense it became. There was no longer gentleness or restraint in Sol's movements as the blood essence had long been passed in the first round, the two had almost forgotten completely about their reason for doing this or perhaps they decided such a reason was not needed anymore and continued for several hours.
**
Inside Sol's cave
Two naked bodies slept wrapped in one another, Zee was still asleep but Sol couldn't as he possessed Light Affinity and had already rid himself of weariness. His hand gently passed down Zee's back as he looked at her peaceful face, the floor beside him had a tiny circle of blood that wasn't from Sol's chest wound. An incredible warmth came from his eyes as they rested on the beautiful sleeping woman beside him.
As Sol became entranced in this beauty, a cold voice issued out from outside.
[Zeshala, bring out the mutant hybrid now! Do not make us come in there for him!!] -???
As soon as this terrible voice interrupted the peace, Zee's eyes flashed open in a terrifying fear. Her body shivered violently as her worried eyes rested on Sol and panic was evident in her eyes.
[You have to leave now! You have to go! Otherwise they will kill you!] -Zee
Zee hurriedly said in a hushed tone as she begged Sol, her hands trembled greatly with fear and she quickly kept glancing at the cave's entrance. Seeing this amount of fear planted in his woman, would Sol really just get up and leave? Would he even be allowed to leave? A smile plastered across his face as he looked into her eyes. He then turned his face toward the direction of the cold voice as his tone became covered in a venomous iciness.
[You want me? Then I will come] -Sol
As the horrid voice came out from the cave, a sense of dread welled up outside. The insects and bugs outside became incredibly quiet as this voice sounded like a dreadful Death God and carried a hint of ancient origins.
Sol walked out of his cave after dressing despite Zee's reluctance, and walked towards the exit. Zee hastily changed herself back into her original Lamia form and quickly followed after.
**
As Sol peered down from the cave in the waterfall, he saw several silhouettes. All had one thing in common -they were Lamia. Some had green, blue and even orange hair, but the one that stood out the most was the one who stood in front with red hair.
She carried a Queen-like aura and her red eyes were fierce and cold beyond Zee's by a great deal, and there was no warmth at all within them. It was obvious this red-haired Lamia was one through and through and this showed the difference between her and Zee. Her appearance was incredibly similar to Zee albeit a bit older, this woman was certainly Zee's mother.
I am the mutant human, what business do you have with me?] -Sol
Sol's expression had not changed and the icy tone was directed toward the Lamias who had been incessantly giving off killing intent.
[Are you not the mate of Zeshala? Good, we will end this today before it goes any further. Zeshala come out here now!] -Red Haired Lamia
As soon as the Red-Haired Lamia Queen's eyes rested upon Sol, he could feel a terrible power suppressing him. However, his face had not changed which astonished the Lamia Queen.
Zee after a short while quickly left the cave and stood at Sol's side, though her eyes remained calm; her heart was in a state of frenzy. Her arms subconsciously locked with Sol's as she looked towards the Lamias below.
As soon as Zee showed herself and locked her arms around Sol's, the red haired Lamia's killing intent spiked to the highest as her gaze revealed incredible fury.
[Zeshala! You know our laws! Get away from that "thing"! Why do you defy me so? You understand that even I cannot protect you from ridicule and that you bring shame upon me for this! Kill it now and you can be forgiven! You think after that ruckus that it caused that I wouldn't hear about that "thing"!] -Red haired
[Mother...I-] -Zee
As Zee tried to say a few words, she was cut off coldly-
[Do not call me mother until you kill that thing!!] -Red Hair Lamia
Zee shivered as she heard these words and her gaze revealed terrible worry as she looked at Sol. However, the latter's face was as cool as drizzling rain. This surprised the Lamias present greatly, usually humans would cower in their presence and not dare utter a word. Yet this one seemed a bit too calm, and almost like he had methods to deal with the situation. The Lamias instinctively became alert as they stared at him.
[What rights do you possess to enter here? Could it be, that you arrogant fools believe that this place belongs to you?] -Sol
Hearing the mockery in Sol's voice, the red-haired Lamia became instantly even more furious and roared at Sol.
[What?! You don't know? This place is under our--] -Red Haired Lamia
She was cut off abruptly as Sol's voice started gaining layers upon layers of frost and entered her ears.
[Don't you dare say this territory belongs to you, when it was in danger; you spared not a single finger to defend it. Not only that, but you show up here demanding that I be killed, I who protected this place. You have no idea who I am, where I am from or what sort of person I am and yet you call me a "thing".
I'm a Mutant Mark holder, so what? Do you see the Serpent Familia bowing their heads to me? Do you see me ruling this place? Do you see me enslaving them for the sake of the human race? Have you ever spoken to me before? Have you asked the Serpent Familia beasts about me? You look like a Queen, so I'll tell it to you straight.
You have never met me before, I have never offended you. I have no business with you at all, yet you show up here demanding my life and call me a "thing". You, do you believe Heaven and Earth was created by you? Or did you believe it was created for you? Did you believe you could decide who lives and who dies as you please? To even show up here, to a place you deem not worth protecting right after it was almost destroyed. Do you not feel ashamed? and you call me a "thing?".
Don't place me in the same category with the disgusting trash in your mind you compared me to and with yourselves. Did you think I would bow in your presence and take my own life? Do you believe that I am less qualified than you to protect Serpent Falls? Why don't you ask the inhabitants of Serpent Falls if I am a danger to them?] -Sol
The Lamia's became speechless at Sol's words because they were all correct but this is what they were always taught and wouldn't depart from it. The Queen snorted coldly and spoke her piece.
[So what? Your kind of existence is a dangerous kind and that has been proven time and time again. We're simply doing what we've always done to ensure peace and safety for the Serpent Familia. It doesn't matter what you say here and now, today you will die for the sake of the Serpent species so that you do not enslave them!] -Queen Lamia
Sol's expression became ice-cold-
[Enslave them? Why don't you personally ask them who enslaves them. You claim to have their best interests at heart and yet in their moment of dire need you can't protect them, but when someone shows up who can protect them, you make haste to let your presence be known? I think there's something wrong there and now I know what it is.
Hybrid Mutant Marks were never meant to be as savage as people say they are, those were rumors created by the corresponding beast race such as yourself, Wolfmen, Birdmen and the other variants. This was a scheme created to control the "lesser species" isn't it?
A hybrid mutant shows up and your rule over the serpent species is challenged, so your people created these lies to safeguard their future and enslave countless lives under your tyrannical rule. Hybrid mutants are powerful humans with affinity to particular beasts, nothing more and nothing less.
There is no such thing as a King aura that suppresses a species and I figured that as time went on and the mark changed and evolved. What it does is give off is an aura or familiarity, which is the exact opposite of what you claim it to be.
There was no threat to begin with, just a big lie that needed covering and that's why none of the Serpent Familia is here to speak on my behalf. Surely, you've already taken precautions to make sure they don't come over here, Right?
At first I thought it was weird that the beast-human race species like yourself killed hybrid mutants, now I understand why; because you beast-races were never meant to be the rulers but the means by which to create one....and that is what terrifies you all] -Sol
Sol's words fell like a mountain upon the Queen Lamia's head, she stared in shock and disbelief as she looked at Sol with a pale expression, beads of sweat formed on her forehead.
The other Lamia's seeing this seemed to also be shocked and confused as they looked at their Queen with a few suspicious gazes. If what Sol said was true, then the Lamia's as well as the other beast-race would become villains over night.
[What?....You say you don't have an enslaving aura?] -Queen Lamia
Seeing the Queen's shocked expression, Sol also became shocked. He had believed this was the case, and in actuality he was right to a degree. Yet why did the Queen look shocked?
The Queen Lamia quickly glanced at Sol's neck and was stupefied.
(The Infinity Serpent biting it's tail...it can't be...the mark passed down in the ancient texts?...How? Did he awaken already?) -Queen Lamia
The Queen's cold voice suddenly changed and started trembling.
[Tell me child, did an ancestor visit you?] -Queen Lamia
As the Queen had asked this question, suddenly a voice interrupted them as a shadow emerged from the darkness, revealing a beautiful woman in a black gown clenched to her body revealing her curves. A layer of darkness covered her body as her green murky eyes stared at the Queen respectfully.
[Queen Zeeqa'sele, indeed this young one was visited by an ancestor. Though I don't know which one, it was very powerful as it suppressed the entire forest and it carried an emerald aura of ancient origins. His Soul Beasts can prove it. Sol show the queen Vritra, Hydrian and Hydreas] -Old Black.
Sol would never have brought them out before, but now that Old Black gave him a reassuring look, he naturally trusted it and brought them out. He could feel that there was something to be learned and was also quite curious about the ancient being that resided inside him.
*Flash*
In an instant, three silhouettes emerged from Sol's body. The twins curled around him and stared viciously at the Lamias, Vritra had his bloodlust climb to the maximum and his body started glittering. He was preparing to douse the entire area in fog if it came to be, he had only recovered a tiny bit of it but he was sure he could kill a few. The Lamia's instantly grew incredibly cautious as they looked at Vritra in fear.
When the Queen saw his three Soul beasts, her heart skipped a beat!
(Three Soul Beasts?!...A Dark Emerald Naga?! It's the biggest one I've ever seen! What a terrifying weapon! No wonder he wasn't scared at all...Wait a minute...No one should be able to acquire a Dark Emerald Naga as a Soulbeast without dying from it's toxicity, even weaker species that possess poison also cannot become proper Soulbeasts......Wait what am I talking about? One can only possess a Soul Beast if they have the corresponding affinity...Then that can only mean...Poison Affinity?!) -Queen Lamia
The Queen Lamia seemed to be at war with her thoughts as she threw gazes here and there at the Soul Beasts and then back at Sol. The one who was watching this with hopeful eyes was none other than Zee, she had always believed Sol's mark was different and now hearing that it might indeed be so, she was greatly relieved that it might have a chance to end this peacefully. Her heart was itching with nervousness as she looked on at her mother thinking to herself.
(Those Golden-Blooded Basilisks... just what in the world are they, twins? This...Isn't this too absurd? They are already starting to sprout wings and what's more their size is much too absurd and the child is only a 2nd Order Warrior. What will happen when he becomes an S-Rank? Still, Poison Affinity on a human still remains the most shocking thing I've ever seen yet.
So it is true, it seems he was chosen by the Emerald Ancestor. Still, a human being chosen by an ancestor....doesn't this also appear within the ancient texts? The Serpent King...it's successor has been chosen! This will completely throw off the power scale between the beast-races!) -Queen Lamia
The Queen released a breathe of cold air as she looked at Sol as if she were looking at a monster.
[Boy, come with me...] -Queen Lamia
Sol pursed his lips and his eyes flickered with a bit of mischievousness, he had noticed the Queen's tone towards him had changed and she was no longer hostile. He knew it had something to do with his mark and wanted to test just how far he could push it, to see how valuable he was to her.
[But mother-in-law....I already have Zee...this is immoral..] -Sol
Sol made a wronged expression as his eyes filled with fear and his body shook as he held onto his private parts, seeing this the other Lamias bit their tongues to stop the urge of laughing out loud and retained solemn expressions. The Red-Haired Queen instantly became enraged and quickly appeared before Sol in the blink of an eye.
Sol was shocked at her speed, however he sensed no killing intent and did not fight back.
*Grip*
The Queen Lamia immediately grabbed Sol by the ears and dragged him away from the others. Though she used force, she was astonished at Sol's steel like body and she had to actually use force to make him feel pain. However, once steam rose off of his ears; she just sighed as she noticed it was healing and what's worse was that she felt a slight burning sensation on her fingertips.
(Poison, Light and Fire Affinity...*sigh* I've already used too many expressions today) -Queen Lamia
The Queen gave up on pinching his ears to teach him a lesson and motioned him to walk beside her.
Sol was relieved once he knew the Queen no longer wanted to kill him, his runic ring which was dimly lit since the beginning of the conversation; lost it's shimmer and the shells Sol had prepared before-hand were laid to rest. He had no intention of dying a stupid death, not before he brought them with him; and he prepared to do so.
The Queen and Sol walked off into the distance, leaving a worried Zee behind who was stopped by the other Lamias. Zee had a strange feeling her mother wouldn't harm Sol, but she knew how strict her mother could be and there are times whether it was friend or family; she would judge them all strictly.
**
The Queen and Sol finally stopped a way off near a stream, Zee's mother coldly looked at Sol for a bit. She released a tired sigh and sat down next to him, surprising Sol as he did not expect her to change so much. Just a while ago she was pouring killing intent and now she was completely fine.
[You...there are things we are going to need to talk about...I have things I'm going to need to share with you. Don't try to hide anything, I can tell if you're lying and you shouldn't lie. After all, a few hours ago you impregnated my daughter] -Queen Lamia
Sol instantly became stunned and looked at the Queen stupidly.
[What? You think I didn't know? I've been here for an entire week waiting for you to wake up. I was testing you to see if you were really worth my daughter, if you hid behind her I would have killed you on the spot. However, you did not shrink down and stood up for yourself, which is commendable.
Still, who would have known that the second you woke up, you would have your way with her almost immediately...you really do move quite fast, that part of you is definitely human] -Queen Lamia
As she said these words a bit of frost came with them, Sol didn't think she was lying at all and was still shocked at the fact she appeared a week ago but did nothing while he was defenseless. He was even more shocked, she knew what happened between him and Zee.
[Mother-in-law...could it be...you were spying on--] -Sol
*STAB*
[AHHH!!!!] -Sol
Sol screamed out in agony as she stabbed him in his arms with her claws! Steam rose up and healed after a little while, however it was quite deep.
[At the very least you deserve that...your damn body won't feel anything less] -Queen Lamia
The Queen let out another tired sigh as the coldness in her voice faded and she gazed towards the streams.
[I knew you were different from the beginning, I could see it in the Serpent Familia. I've seen Mutant Hybrids before, the beasts around them usually suffer terrible fates and are ordered to death like cattle. You should have guessed it by now, the mark you carry isn't one of a mutant hybrid mark. If it was, this entire place would feel like a slave market.
The beasts here seem lively and I met quite the resistance when I was making my way to the cave. Some even glared at me, even Old Black who I ordered to stay away still ended up coming. I'm sure she tied down the noisy "red one" somewhere else *sigh*
What you carry is called an "Ancestral Mark" that can only be passed down by an Ancestor. The people who can receive Ancestral Marks are only those who have complete compatibility with an Ancestor or who carries a dense enough bloodline, sometimes depending on the Ancestor both is required.
Ancestors are beings who climbed to the peak of power, these Ancestors are ranked in different tiers which even I do not know of. Most of them have very old lineages that date back as far hundreds of thousands of years, some millions...and the rare few that even existed at the beginning of time.
The Ancestor that chose you, is called the Emerald Shimmering Serpent-Dragon, amongst the Ancestors he is one of the oldest and he is a bit notorious amongst the Ancestors for being a loner and a bit of a radical.
His true name is "Leviathan", the Ancestor of True Poison, all serpent beasts that wield poison descended from him. Did you know, of all the Ancestors, he was the only one who had not chosen an heir...until now] -Queen Lamia

8 94Wrong Side of The Severance
In the waning times of a costly war that spanned several firmaments, one world that was supposed to be cherished by the gods was cast to the wayside, and from everyone’s minds. This world - Berodyl - had flourished under the tender love of the gods for millennia… but no longer. Berodyl stood ready to aid the gods in their strife, but when the time came, the armies of this world never heard the call. They never even saw the battlefield. No. Instead, they found that, once the war had begun, the hierophants no longer heard the whispers of their sacred deities whom they had served so faithfully; only silence now filled the halls of their temples. Some even came from beyond Berodyl’s firmament to take to the sides of those who would fight for the gods. Alas, they soon found themselves stranded in a land abandoned— now, too, abandoned themselves. Now there is but one question weighing down on everyone: can a world such as this - a world once loved, now alone - survive with nought but its own? For an outlander such as Livia, the question seems nearly impossible to answer. The first book of The World The Gods Forgot.
8 72The Last God (Excerpt)
This is an excerpt of the upcoming novel The Last God. Everyone cheered the day the world ended. Everyone cheered the day he saved the world. Cael Cavanaugh did not. Cael Cavanaugh survived the brutal invasion of his home and is now living with his family and adopted siblings on the ashen lands of the west. He rescues people from a fate that eclipses death and is the bridge between a rebel group that will stop at nothing to achieve its goals, and a tyrannical government that treats those who have not been reborn as dregs. But when Cael inadvertently sets off the end of the world, he will have to choose between a government that could avert world annihilation but that holds sinister motives, or the equally vicious rebel group that would sacrifice everyone for what they call liberty, even those Cael holds dearest. How far would you go to save the world?
