Chapter 391

Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon

Third Floor World Boss

Double Dragon

Second Floor World Boss

Those were the names of the Dragons that had approached the waters. The first, the three headed one, was completely silver, save for it’s blinding blue eyes, and glowing, runic looking symbol on each of the heads. Besides it, the Double Dragon had a red and greenish blue dragon head, and its’ appearance was more in line with the East Asian dragons, and not the European kind.

Either way, they appeared formidable, and James had been looking forward to seeing them in combat. After all, he had some pent-up energy himself he wanted to let out and shooting dragons from the sky seemed like quite the fun adventure.

Unfortunately, the moment the Megalodonie formed, and with it, the swirling Sharkienado, both World Bosses had spun around, retreating back towards the Dragon Dungeon’s side. Only when they turned to retreat, did James see two figures riding atop of the massive Dragons. Given their size, James had a feeling those figures, though he couldn’t make them out, were Avatars.

As he’d guessed, the Dragon Dungeon had a lot of essence, and they’d managed to bring forth two Avatars, and two world bosses. He had to wonder what they were turning back for though. Did they have more essence? It would make sense. They’d killed Rue, after all. But what other tricks did they have in store? And even more importantly, what did they think they could do against James and his forces? All they were doing now, was stalling their inevitable defeat. They’d challenged him, and it was time, for them to pay that price.

“All forces, continue forward.” James bellowed out, his ghost ship moving alongside the Megalodonie. It was really beneficial the massive Secret boss counted as an ally. Otherwise, this would have never worked. “We will bring our ships to bare as close as we can their side. Destroy anything in your path.” Cheers echoed his command, and they continued forward.

From Rue

Bear-ing down on the Enemy

We’ve reached the flank. Megalodonie is gloriously massive, and I’m pretty sure flaunting him has scared off the enemy. We’ll keep pressing in towards their side, I’m assuming you guys are going to charge straight forward.

Rue’s update had come even as James had been giving the commands, and he mentally sent back a quick reply as he considered the situation. The players of the Dragon Dungeon, at least some of them, had to know what the Megalodonie was like. After all, James’s players…such as Olivia from Boss Slayers, live streamed and recorded their gameplay nowadays.

As for the dungeon core themselves…James had a habit of livestreaming his awesome moments. Meaning they knew his secrets as well. At least, he was pretty sure they would. Meanwhile, James had no idea what this Dragon Dungeon was actually capable of. His eagerness to flaunt his crazy dungeon, was definitely biting him in the ass. But hindsight was 20-20.

“What do you intend to do once we reach the shore?” Z called up to him. James had been lost in thought and hadn’t realized they were nearing the shore already. The Megalodonie wasn’t the fastest moving creature, but the watery expanse James had created, arguably, wasn’t all that large. Especially to a creature as massive as the secret boss.

“Our Warmonger and his forces have already reached the other side. We will need to assist them, to ensure our chaos reigns supreme.” James said simply. “We will load as many of you as we can onto my Ghostly Dreadnaught, and we will sail straight to the heart of our foolish foe’s side.”

The benefit of having a ghost ship, was it technically didn’t need water. Not only that, but it could also pass-through things. And, because of how large it was, James could load up a ton of the remaining range players onto the ship, giving them not only the high ground, but also cover to hide behind. Because…video game logic and ghostly things.

“What about those massive dragons that flew away?” Z asked. “I’m pretty sure I recognized the three headed one, and we don’t have Exodia on our side.” His comment got a few snickers from his team.

“If they try to attack us from up high, the ghost ship will rise up to meet them. They may be strong, but my Ghostly Dreadnaught, full of ranged players, will be able to claim air superiority.”

“And what about you?” Z continued.

“I’ll continue the hunt from the ground.” James said with a grin as his hunting dogs let out excited barks. “And I’ll make sure they’ve no choice but to pay heed to my presence.” James pointed towards the shore, grinning as the symbols on his wrist swirled. The pentagram appeared, and from it, an extremely large Scapegoat. He’d only used 4 mob points on it, given he didn’t have many remaining after the ghost ship. However, the level 4 mob, being an Avatar Summon, was still getting a crazy boost to its stats. And because he’d unlocked his latest and greatest Summoner related skill, it had all the buffs and upgrades that his dungeon mobs normally got.

After that, he turned towards Z. He started to raise his hand, preparing to link Z to the massive Dreadnaught, which would make the Beastmaster likely impossible to kill. Mainly because, if he was going to send the Dreadnaught high into the sky to take on those world bosses, he doubted he would be in range to remain tethered to the creature himself.

However, a thought crossed his mind, and instead he turned his focus to Oak. The Knight’s Who Go Ni’s tank had been one of the few to remain behind when the melee forces had charged with Rue. Mainly because he, and the Knight’s, seemed to live by the adage, never split the party. Now, Oak glowed brightly, and James linked the Dreadnaught to him. With that God Class tank linked to the Ghost Ship, James had no doubt nothing would be able to bring them down in the air, short of a miracle.

“Whatever happens.” James continued. “Make sure you kill everything in your way, and mind the weather.” Their ships were pulling up just shy of the shore, and players were already moving towards the Dreadnaught. Z had been relaying James’s orders, on the off chance people hadn’t heard James’s booming voice, over their Skirmish Team Chat menu. “There’s a strong chance of raining sharkies in the forecast.” While the Megalodonie was pulling up short of the shore, the Sharkienado accompanying it had continued forward, launching Sharkies off into the distance towards the Dragon Dungeon’s side. The undead sharks, while fish out of water, would still flop, thrash, and chase down anything that was considered an enemy. It was completely broken, and James had no doubt this was going to be nerfed.

Z looked at the swirling spiral of water, wind, and sharkies, which was already moving even further inland, towards the crumbled and collapsed canyon. Another sharkie was sent flying, arcing over the rubble and debris to disappear out of sight.

“You know, you might just have a promising career as a meteorologist Mad Mage.”

James chuckled at the comment but didn’t reply. Because, honestly, he didn’t know what to say. Instead, he, his dogs, and those who were choosing to follow him and his menagerie, began making their way towards the canyon that had brought about so much death. In the distance, they could hear loud roars, and he knew, their other force had found the enemy.

It was time to put an end to the skirmish.
