《Land of Nowhere》Erudition [IX]

[The side effect of consuming a Fruit of Awakening is in the Law that it contains. A Fruit of Awakening is born when a fruit absorbs a Law directly, whereas other fruits have only absorbed the Psyons that carry the different concepts behind a Law. After consuming a Fruit of Awakening, Host may be affected by the Will of the Ancient that created that specific Law. A Fruit of Awakening is one of many treasures with similar capabilities]
"Will of the Ancient?" Lucian asked. "Do you mean the same Ancients that you said created Nowhere?"
[Yes]
"How does that Will affect the person that consumes such a treasure?"
[Error]
Lucian frowned, "Can you give me any more information on the Ancients or the Fruit of Awakening that I consumed?"
[Yes]
"Can... hmmm..." He gripped the bridge of his nose in annoyance, "Can you tell me what questions I'm allowed to ask?"
[Error]
Lucian breathed out slowly, staring at the error message and trying not to lose his cool. It wasn't like getting angry would help him, but he couldn't help but become frustrated by the [Educatus]. Not knowing what else to ask, Lucian looked over the five locked Microlinks sitting around the [Initiate] point. He had a decision to make.
Would it be better to unlock the remaining five Microlinks, save his Psyons to unlock [Endurance II], or work on exploring the Tiles around his Starting Tile? Maybe a mixture of all three?
Lucian felt that a mixture would be best, but he wasn't sure how many Psyons he'd be rewarded if he were to do well in the coming Wave. Without that information, he wasn't keen on making any rash decisions.
"Should I unlock at least one more Microlink to stand a better chance in the next Wave?" He whispered to himself.

Lucian shook his head, "I don't think that's a great option. My wounds from the Saber-Cat are mostly closed now. What if the next Microlink drives me crazy as well, and I end up in another dangerous fight? I need to be at my best if I want high Grades."
It wasn't the decision he wanted to make. In his opinion, it would be best to unlock all of the Microlinks and potentially dominate the next Wave. The issue was that he didn't have time to heal if something were to go awry.
"I could unlock the [Orelia] Tile, maybe..." The natural springs would help speed up some of his projects, and he could wash some of the filth from his skin. The yellow fruit had quenched his thirst... "No, what if there's some space octopus in the water? I can afford to wait a few days."
Lucian glanced at the clock. The strange blackout from the black fruit had taken close to three hours from his day, and it was already dark. He ventured outside and found that all of the limbs from his tunnel were neatly piled to the side of the cabin.
"I could use some more of those fruits," He chuckled. The work was done, and Lucian couldn't even remember it. "Hm. Hmmmm. Hmm."
He walked around the Tile under the dark sky, humming the disturbing tune that wouldn't leave his mind. All of the rabbits avoided him as he hummed, all except one.
"You're back!" Lucian chuckled and bent down to pet a small green bunny with a torn ear. "You're not charged up anymore. What did you do inside the hedge?"
The creature looked up at him, twitching its nose and hopping under his palm to be rubbed. Lucian chuckled and scratched the rabbit on the head, wondering what had happened to its ear. The ear was torn almost in half, and it looked like the bunny had been in a fight with a much larger beast. Thinking to this point, Lucian looked over the little rabbit again.

"How'd you survive, little guy?" He mused. "Whatever creature took such a large chunk out of that ear couldn't have been small."
His eyes wandered over to the hedge, and he became even more curious about the secrets held within. These strange rabbits, the Fruit of Awakening, and how this little rabbit had disappeared the moment it absorbed the Psyons of one of the fruits. Lucian had so many questions, and Ed was pushing the limits of what he could answer.
"One step at a time," He mumbled. "Come on, rabbit. You gonna sleep out here, or do you wanna stay in the shack tonight?"
Lucian stood and walked back to his home base. The little rabbit followed behind him, not seeming to question where they were going. The pair ventured in, and the bunny made itself at home on the pile of furs Lucian had yet to turn into rope or twine. Lucian was excited to start the next day. If all went well, he wouldn't be naked anymore!
He focused on the two pots sitting in the corner that held the fruit and brain-soaked hides. As long as the fruit juice didn't eat away at the skin, they would be ready to smoke in the morning. After that, all that would be left was cutting and sewing them. He didn't hold high hopes for making something attractive, but something that could give him protection from the elements or weak attacks would make him feel more comfortable.
"Ed, do you have any idea what the next Wave will consist of?" He asked, knowing what the answer would be.
[Error]
"Appreciate the looking out," Lucian laughed as he lay on the grassy floor. "I really need to find a way to make carpet... or a bed."
After making himself as comfortable as possible, he stared at the ceiling and pretended the different shapes and grains in the wood were superheroes flying in to save the day. He laughed at the childishness as his thoughts went to his son and how he hoped he could become one of the heroes that Lucas looked up to.
"Hm. Hmmmm. Hmm."
Lucian closed his eyes, and soon enough, the lyrics of the Fruit of Awakening lulled him to sleep.

The Infinite Labyrinth
(Story complete - Book 1 "Shanghaied", 2 "Shortcuts", 3 "Secrets" and 4 "Sanctions") It is the 19th century, and war smoulders between England and France. Any hope for a quick end to Napoleon's rampage across Europe ended when the Great Gates opened in 1800. For a fortunate few, the strange world of the Infinite Labyrinth offers opportunities, strange descriptors popping in their minds, informing them of growth, and status beyond that of a mere mortal. The materials and power crystal they bring back foster a new age, both military and civilian. Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. But for Jonas, an apprentice leatherworker, his friend Ira, and so many Londoners, the fabled ones that walk the Labyrinth are distant heroes, seen from afar. They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.

Legacy (vrmmo game)
Is currently being rewritten. Darius is a guy with no friends because the friends of his friends don't like him and so he has no friends. Legacy, a vrmmo game, is the first of its kind to actually look like the fantasy games kids dream of. Darius gets the game, planning to just have fun and maybe get some friends. Unfortunately, he's the protagonist, so yeahhhh shit's gonna happen He chooses the mage class which is often ridiculed for its low health and high MP costs. And he somehow becomes the top player within the game... There is gonna be fucking profanity because books where the protagonist is like "fiddlesticks" when they fuck up are stupid and targeted at kids that haven't gone thru puberty yet. And yes, there will be gore. Otherwise what's the point of these games? The cover is not mine and I don't own it okay I just got it off one of those sites rate this if you feel like it

Realm Of Assola
The story follows Aron, a young beggar. Having lived in a ruined village for as long as he knew of himself and with the lack of food combined with harsh conditions, he isn't happy with his current life. With the war on the horizon, their village being close to the border between kingdoms. And an increased number of people, soldiers going through the village. Things are bound to change. Realm Of Assola is a big world, that will be revealed as the young beggar Aron gets on his feet, and expands his horizons. With the kingdom that allows slavery, and the increasing amount of casualties. The demand for them increased. But will that turn out to be a good thing? There will be classes, spells, magic, and more. About classes, they will be somewhat close to LitRPG but the focus won't be on them. They will be used as means, not the focus. You could say that it has a slow start, but it is more that Arons progress will be somewhat slow. And it takes him some time to adapt and find a way to improve. Daily updates for the first fifteen or so chapters. At that point, I will most likely have to reduce it. To something more manageable. So I decided on a schedule, every day at 18:00 CET new chapter should be up.
