《Mosquito Hivemind Hell-Bent on World Domination (or Annoyance)》18: Gaining a million (mosquito) followers has never been easier!

Let's see here, we have almost 13 000 Blood, so, let's begin with understanding how our hierarchy should look like.
On Thief should control 5 Vampires at the very least, one Vampire should control 12 Bloodsuckers which will operate in squadrons where the three Bloodsuckers rule over 90 Mosquitos together... Meaning a single Thief will control a total of 1800 mosquitos.
...Makes sense to me! Right now I have 500 Thieves, so that means I'll have to make a total of 900 000 mosquitos at the very least. Of course, I'll have a specially made squad of 10 Thieves and 50 Vampires watch over my person, but otherwise, I think I have a plan!
But first, let's see if we've lost any Thieves so far.
All mosquitos under control
Mosquitos
N/A
Bloodsuckers N/A Petite Vampires N/A Thieves 500 Thieved Blood 221 109
...Oh my. With the way this is looking, I'd say we finally have some honest-to-satan potential!
Right, let's get to work!!
All mosquitos under control (466 750)
Mosquitos
450 000
Bloodsuckers 15 000 Petite Vampires 1 250 Thieves 500 Thieved Blood 1 134 098
Okay, so, you might be wondering, "why all the fucking mosquitos?" and that is, well... they're cheap. They can barely hold enough Blood to matter in the least, but they can act as just as much of an annoyance as a Bloodsucker, meaning that they make for the perfect diversions!
As you can also see, I almost have two much Blood to use. And none that I need to hold myself!! Perfect, perfect, absolutely perfect!
Even better, I've barely been doing this for much of any time at all, but I still have over a million Blood to use! It rolls in faster than I can use it, and that is just... It makes me too happy. I'm barely half-way to my goal of 900 000 mosquitos, and I can already see reason to double, if not triple my forces!
Why, depending on how I choose to do this, I could stride into the hospital in a human form, carrying with me only Vampires and Thieves! Which sounds kind of weird, but it would allow me to take any hit without a scratch!!
Oh, and I haven't even gotten started on stats yet...!!
I'll be back in a jiffy!
All mosquitos under control
(1 399 000)
Mosquitos
1 350 000
Bloodsuckers 45 000 Petite Vampires 3 250 Thieves 750 Thieved Blood 3 905 344
....Over a million. Beloved Beelzebub, I-,,
I have never been more proud than this very moment. I barely have to do anything, no forces are returning to me in particular, and yet-!!
Fuck it. Seriously, fuck it. Let's do triple what I was aiming for.
All mosquitos under control
(2 799 000)
Mosquitos
2 700 000
Bloodsuckers 90 000 Petite Vampires 7 500 Thieves 1 500 Thieved Blood 8 002 860
I'm going to cry. I'm seriously going to cry.
Okay, I won't cry since it isn't what a true villain would do, but! But!!
It is what a true man would do...........
Okay. Alright. Mosquitos: prepared.
Let's increase our stats. Right now, I'm pathetic and could probably take maybe two slaps and then promptly die, so... let's change that!
Status, show me what I must do to become an unstoppable force of evil!!
David Branner Thief Level 1/75 Power Health 550/550 Blood 0/10000
Status
Flight 189 Succ 50 Defence 100 Noise 100
Skills
Mitosis (2, 5 10, or 20 Blood/Use) Evolution Bloodwork Dark Arts
...I forgot about the Dark Arts, didn't I-?
Well, I'll leave that for after this heist is done and over with. Now, pathetic stats! Let me raise you through the roofs!!
If I keep my ratios as they are, with Succ being X and Noise and Defence being 2X and Flight, once I upgrade it well, being 4X... I should be alright. Speed and evasion have always been the core strength of a mosquito, but... Now that I have the Blood to do so, perhaps I should put some more power into my Defence?
Noise will also be good to have up high since I can, hypothetically, use some devastating sonic attacks at higher levels, and Succ... well, it is static. If I increase it, I'll be able to suck blood in a second, instantly use it for whatever, and then suck again. Rinse and repeat and the enemy is anaemic. Or dead.
...Alright, let's do this.
Let's invest!
...
David Branner Thief Level 1/75 Power Health 550/550 Blood 0/10000
Status
Flight 150 000 Succ 50 000 Defence 125 000 Noise 75 000
Skills
Mitosis (2, 5 10, or 20 Blood/Use) Evolution Bloodwork Dark Arts
...Oh my god. The one below, that is. Just-,, can I be killed? I don't think I can be killed.
And I barely used half of my Thieved Blood, too! I...
If memory serves, 1 Noise was pretty much 1 Decibel.
75 000 decibels.
I'm... I'm not even going to test that one out. Assuming I don't explode on the spot, it'll easily cause the nearby windows, if not the walls, too, to break right on the spot! Even so, this does have one good part.
"..."
Absolute silence.
I'm quieter than a mouse, quieter than anything! When I move, I can simply... not make any noise. No vibrations, no hertz, no sound. To be completely honest, it is eerier than anything.
Good. Stalking has always been the best part of hunting, no?
I have no idea what 50 000 Succ entails, but I think it'll let me suck my 10 000 Blood in less than a second. Which is... good enough, you know? Could be better, but it'll do.
Flight is... Well, let's just say, I tried flying as fast as I could, but I ended up crashing into a wall before I could so much as react. Somehow, the thing that cracked was not me, but the wall.
Nooooo, my lair!!
Shoot-!!
Wall and lair aside, this does prove that my defence can take... a lot.
Purely as an experiment, I persuaded my bodyguards to drop a rock on a willing Thief bodyguard, and, well... it did exactly nothing. Not even a scratch. He was just... fine.
...Did I accidentally get OP?...
Hhehhehehee... perfect...!!

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
