Dante’s Immortality – Chapter 75.1
Melisandre
Dante finally fell asleep, and Melisandre placed her notepad down while trying to make sense of things.
There was only one thing she could be sure of. He was broken. Completely broken. The fact that an archaic would cry at all meant that something was wrong, drastically wrong. Dante should have been distant from his emotions, but he wasn’t. He was completely different from the rest of his kind.
That only opened up more questions though. His past was beyond tragic. But, it wasn’t enough to affect an archaic. Being used, abused, or even watching a close friend die might have had an impact on a regular person, but it shouldn’t be enough. Not with their mental fortitude. Something much worse must have happened.
That was the real problem. Someone wiped his memory. Not altered, not replaced, it was gone. The number of people who had such a rare skill could be counted on one hand, and they were all exceedingly dangerous.
One of the church’s Archbishops was her first thought. But that didn’t hold to logic. The church would have the capability, but they had no reason to hide an archaic in the Outer Edge region. They could do almost whatever they wanted without any real fear of repercussions with the Goddess acting as a deterrent. Besides, grooming an archaic would only cause further internal struggles for them.
No, it had to be one of the other three factions. Even that didn’t make sense though. All of them had a relatively stable footing, there was no need to take such a large risk, despite the possible reward. One archaic wasn’t worth the threat of eradication.
And even if Dante was worth the risk, why leave him alone? Why risk it? True, no one of note would have even the slightest chance of finding him in the Outer Edge region, and all forms of detection would be cut off by the Chaos region, but the chances of him dying by himself were far too high if left unattended.

Melisandre’s eyes narrowed. Someone must have been watching over him, helping him in secret. They might still be watching, but she hadn’t noticed anyone. Furthermore, Victoria hadn’t noticed anyone. She would have mentioned it. The possibility that someone was watching Dante without Victoria noticing was frightening. Beyond frightening actually.
If that were the case, the lack of intervention was also frightening. It meant that what had happened to Dante was okay with them.
Melisandre rubbed her eyes, the smart thing to do would be to take Olivia and flee back to the inner regions immediately.
That would be pointless though, the damage had already been done. If she was going to be silenced, and they had the ability, she would. Leaving now wouldn’t make the slightest difference, so she may as well finish helping Dante before departing.
That was what she told herself though. In reality, she was unwilling to leave Dante in his current state, despite the risk.

A new player who goes by the name, D0n, loads into the world of virtual reality for the first time in his life thanks to these promises. But what catches his attention isn’t the wild monsters, the in-depth quest lines, or the ability to perform superhuman feats — what draws D0n at first is a bit more… mundane. Sure he’ll put in the time to level up his character… just as soon as he can finish applying the last layer of paint on his new coffee table… and after he lands that triple backflip he’s been trying to do all day… not to mention the lady next door was talking about a new horned rabbit stew recipe she was working on… Sure a world of swords and magic in virtual reality means a whole slew of fantastical experiences you can’t get anywhere else, but it’s not like those are going anywhere. And virtual or not, D0n is determined to live out his reality with a pace and vision that suits him best. It’s just a shame that his habit of a personalized play style has some far reaching consequences even Golden Age’s dev team could have never predicted. New Chapters uploaded every Wednesday.

The Last Breath
When Yezzu first sent his sons to the realm of men, they brought with them the magic of the gods. They created the three kingdoms we now have today being Dremshen, Ex'ol, and Kantillion. In the five thousand years since the gods left, much has changed. Great wars were fought, Universities were built, civilizations were created. One thing remained after the gods' departure though, their powers. Today, the balance of crafting the three gods brought has shifted. In the beginning, each had the same skill as the other, but the magic that was passed down through the millennia has diminished. The struggle for power that started long ago is coming to a defining moment. Plots of war and assassination are being weaved. Don't despair, for we may yet be saved from the disasters to come. Our hope lies in three young crafters. The first is William Divus, who sets out from his small village into the Dremshen Kingdom to study crafting after his father's passing. His questions about his father and his quest for knowledge drive him. Next comes Ehzahn Obasi, an Ex'olian thief with unparalleled skill. He steals for the thrill, no longer needing the rewards that come with it. He has just achieved his lifelong dream, but he will soon learn how much he underestimated the fallout from his daring theft. The last is Ki Soru, the niece of a powerful duke. She showed promise with crafting at a young age, so she had the best training the Kantillion Kingdom had to offer. Ten years have passed since her lessons began, leaving the king unsatisfied with the results. Her life is upended when her new teacher arrives, revealing a secret kept from her that changes her whole life. These three are our heroes. They were born in separate kingdoms under vastly differing upbringing, but each with their own part to play in the challenges to come. Here begins our tale of mischief and misery with only but a sliver of hope.
