Auther Note: Last chapter of the volume. Don't know when the next volume will begin or how. Expect several Polls appearing before Volume 4 starts releasing.

Outside the scraps in North Gate city, the battlefield it had become a normal spawn point for the town.

The way clockworks respawn is taking over a different body that is put into parameters up to 70% of the original body but it didn't have any of the things that were attracted to it.

On the field two new respawn lights which were the same as when someone first registers fell down into the scraps.

Soon a two small childish clockworks stood up and on the other a worker and a knight stood up.

They each looked at each other and the small ones walked over the to pair of large one who picked them up and walked into town.

The city was badly destroyed with most of the 60% of the city being rebuilt already.

The four clockworks walked through until they were near the floating whale.

They took the ropes and began to climb until they were at the top and were met by the owner of the body.

"Who are you?" Brock asked.

"Bite me, I'm not in the mood Brock!" the large knight texted to the Golems helmet before pushing past him.

"No way! Techno!" Brock said.

"Expand my store room so I can make a workshop. Also bring as many tool drones that survived. We will talk in private." he said in a complete unbroken sentence.

In total shock Brock just followed along and when they teached a simple wall in his stomach it opened up into a room that was the store room Brock entered and used the cores within.

I room expanded to three times original size making it a 12 x 12 room now. With his rocks Brock used all the boxes and stuff against the back wall and made seats for everyone.

Brock called the others who can running not believing what they heard.

Victor, Ena and Blaze rushed into the new room and see Techno and Nova in the seats with different bodies.

Walking behind them was Surge who had gained the a body made of Metal core steel which was by far the most powerful clockwork knight body made yet.

"No way! Is that you Techno!" Victor exclaimed in shock.

"Shut up and sit down." Techno said in an irritated town. "You leave!" He suddenly said towards Surge.

"I helped keep this town safe when your crew couldn't. I WILL listen to why you are back in different bodies than before." Surge said.

Unlike before Techno's current body couldn't show emotion but his face was in a frown at this moment.

He simply ignored him since his body clearly couldn't put up a fight nor did he feel like it.

"So what happened?" Brock asked.

In a loud clear unbreaking voice Techno began explaining starting with when he saw the forum post and turning to the center of the scrap yard.

Flashback two ingame day ago

After having turned and travelling a day into the scrapyard the walls were far behind them and they simply flew forward.

Nova like always was playing in the air, Asura was on the deck keeping watch, Yasha was controlling the ship while Annabeth and Greer were on the deck simply talking. The robots were managing all the rest of the ship.

There was absolutely nothing not even a monster in sight.

Not on the ground nor the air the entire space was void of life both robotic or organic.

The ship's scanners had been upgraded while travelling in Brock for when it was most needed and it now had a reach of 10 km in radius. But even then it wasn't enough.

Suddenly the ship's alarms went off as something was about the flank them but when he turned his head he saw a flashing light consume Nova, both of them and Strato. The next moment the light exploded causing age to the left ship turbine. When the light vanished not a single particle of Nova was left. It had vaporized her.

"NOVAAA!!!" Techno yelled but at that moment the ship's sensors detected five large power signatures charging a lot of energy.

Still depressed by Nova, Techno still had to take care of the others on the ship first.

"ANNABETH QUICK RUN WITH GREER!" Was all he shouted before grabbing both and throwing very far on the back side of the ship.

Annabeth soon got control of herself by spreading her wings and caught the falling tigress but she was at least a kilometer away already which was when the five energies flew towards us and completely vaporized the ship with both my bodies and every last possession on the ship.

Annabeth and Greer did get away because he saw them flying fast the way we came but the worse wasn't dying but when he was ejected from the game he was met with a crying Nova.

That was beside the point but he didn't let his anger take hold until she was sleep.

After that he entered the gym and activated a room option to block noise from exiting and spent several hours punching and hitting everything as his anger exploded to the point that LIFE company medics appeared and restrained him to and slowly he calmed down.

Eventually they left and he was calm enough to think and he thought until he logged in and we were at the present moment.

Present moment

Everyone was quiet and Surge was confused after the talk reached the logout but he didn't talk and just listened.

"I am lucky my body was completely destroyed so I keep all the blueprints but...I'm weak...I was stupid to have so easily left and then let my emotions get the better of me when I saw the forum saying the town had been attacked." Techno said.

"Yes, you are weak, you are stupid. If you weren't an awakened with you ability to come back to life your sister and you would have been long gone." Surge suddenly said walking forward. "Now as a leader, as someone who has the lives of your crew and your people in your hand what will you do then.

I will completely disregard someone so weak willed to be defeated once and give up. The feats I heard about your crew, the things you did I will credit to Gaia doing but not someone like you. So will you give up or get stronger? Will you fall to your own overconfidence and selfish emotions of revenge or will you learn from your mistakes? Come one, ANSWER ME!" He shouts.

Techno just looks at him quiet for a long time he looks around and then stops when he looks at Nova.

"For my sister and my crew...no my friends I WILL get stronger." He replies.

The knight grins and pats his arm.

"Good man, now you should get your power back because your body is weak." Surge says.

"Before that, do you want to join us. In our crew, you said you were the one that saved the town so that means you are familiar with attack and defense sieges?" Techno asked.

"Join? What of my work here?" He asked like some kid.

"It's your choice not your superiors." Brock said.

"My...i see, then I shall accept your offer. I shall continue my duties here in North town though until you leave." He says and leaves the room.

One by one the others leave until only Nova and Techno are left.

"Well my adorable sister, remember what we are going to do." Techno said playfully.

Both Nova's jumped off his laps and ran at the boxes and began searching until finally she pulled out two cores.

Both Motherboard cores.

"Okay let's get this started." Techno muttered

"Going to make a new animal?" Delta asked.

"Nope, you just shut up you pile of scrap." Techno said out loud as he opened up his main bank of codes which make up his in game brain.

"Hey what are you doing?" Delta asked.

"You know there is an interesting fact I learned the day I was not in this world. I'm my world, normally cocky people show off and I found the person who stole from me...the person you gave all my technology to. He stole ten animal cores and took it to the center of the scrapyard where there was something like you there. It took me seconds to understand they were connected and then I remembered they way you made the animals.

They needed an image made with their codes right?" Techno said all the while chunks of his coding were being moved and placed in different places. "As long as the sequences making up a codes of the motherboard stay intact you can move them.

The codes of a Clockwork don't compare to a clockwork animal because clockworks are weak AI's even when they have personalities they follow a set program which makes them only follow programs. Surge was given options and he would most likely never change from his programmed class.

That is why the shell that is called Clockworks is too small, those ten idiots that took my tech have done this, I know you know because you are connected to them when you invited them to your cave. The idiots put images of you. But you're just a small locked up titan with a god complex." Techno said.

"The moment you become talkative you get cocky, you think you are a god as well. I can see it, you thought pattern follows that route." Delta said.

By now the codes made up a shape of a human and Techno changed the final sequence finishing the image.

"The only difference Delta. You are a Titan, a giant being with power comparable to a god yet it isn't. A god's power is cultivated in a small body to be as strong as you. I will eventually show you just as those tiny people you sold me out to." Techno said.

"Bro! I'm done!" Nova said and techno connected with her and looked. It looked like a robot so he began fixing it making it as human shaped as possible. Only after ten minutes did he make something remotely human like.

"Wow bro is amazing, I can see a small girl in there and Bro's looks like a boy!" She said.

"Now just connect to that little ball." He told her and as she did he sent the order to upload her motherboard to the core. A screen appears and she agrees and instantly the data uploads. It is rapid and in ten minutes it is up.

"Nova do you see the imagine of the girl?" Techno asked.

"Yeah and its getting big and I can see a lot better. She looks like me and has this cool outfit with small glowing wings on her back. I also see Strato and Proto behind her but it doesn't get in the way." she texted.

He nods and looks at the ball in his hand.

Connecting to it he sends his codes inside. The only thing he sees is his codes and the image of a boy but after the last few codes entered his new motherboard which ran on it's own power the connection with the clockwork bodys he owned was gone.

At once the codes before him exploded in activity the image of a boy became more detailed.

The body was robotic, the head, torso legs and arms were human shaped but then many different things appeared near the image moving towards it.

I pushed back leaving the body as humanly possible but the legs and arms had bulky gauntlet and boots attached to it, on the upper back a kind of backpack connected and on the head a head phone covered the ears.

A small glass screen attached to each headphone and went over the eye.

At this point I completely stopped the large robot parts from attaching themselves but what still make tos way to me was a kind of membrane, no skin, it covered most of the human parts but still left some kind of line in places.

Until now I didn't know what all these were for but it all suddenly rushed into my mind. Information of many things,strange things and complex ones as well.

The easiest where the robot parts but the human ones were so hard I couldn't make sense of them. What I did know is that this information led to the formation of my body, something far far stronger than I could have asked for. Ingredients were strange but I knew what to do.

As the image growth slows to a crawl I visualize what remains. A boy, me before the incident with Bianca, with robot parts for arm, legs, ears and a strange backpack.

Congratulations,by doing something as reckless as placing the codes that make up your mind inside a core you have changed your race.You have achieved a result of keeping your body more than 95% human. As such your new race is now Automata

AutomataA race of magic machines. They are the perfect magic dolls and hold no flaw in their design that constructs possess. The body is made just like a humans though it lacks the vital organs.

The races is part machine so it has full understating of machine construction as it originated from such.

This race is fully capable of using magic once the body and certain parts are made.

The race is to unknown and more information will be given as you discover it.

So an Automata huh, this shall be very fun. The materials are very widespread but that won't stop me from reaching my goal at revenge for the humiliation those people in the scrapyard center gave me.

Me, my crew and my allies will drop a hammer of vengeance on them and wipe them from this world.

"Everything but the method to become it." I said and felt my mental grin appear.

A day ago

O'clock, unlike Techno, ws boarded when he entered the center zone of the scrapyard. The Cybers had them at gunpoint but boarded and after negotiating they allowed the crew to meet with Alpha.

The AI did the same as Delta as soon as they met and spoke through text as she doesn't possess a voice like Delta.

Through a lot of negotiations they got Alpha to aid them in clearing out the Cores of the animal codes opening the option for the to do so.

Because they now had both Delta and Alpha connected the two could speak and Delta explained how the cores worked.

It was amazing technology that was nearly impossible to copy without a Sky whale that had a large amount of crystallized mana in its body. Because of this hunting of clockwork animals will be needed to be able to access this.

It would be exclusive to them because they would never let anyone else know of this power until they were attacking and destroying their enemies.

O'Clock was the first. The image he saw was of a boy that as it rapidly grew turned into him but before he knew it, machine parts overtook his body. On all sizes the machine parts covered him and evolved further until a strong looking machine man remained.

This race is incapable of using magic but is very capable of making and using magic powered weapons that use it's stored mana

O'clock laughed like a madman as he saw his new race. A pure flawless machine that stored mana to use with overpowering weapons. If he used his resources correctly he will be able to make himself king of the world.

You have invented a new race, would you like to release the name and information on the race?

"What kind of idiot releases such amazing info like this. I will post my triumph over the infamous Techno but this beauty is only for my crew." He said to himself.

Once his crew was done he felt with his mind for his old body and connected and controlled like a robot making him pick up his core so they can start the hunt for materials.

He would need to learn lots of forging methods before he could make lots of the los he needed. His new processing power over powered Delta which made it impossible for the titan to explain that the cores build their parts by eating materials.

A day later

Techno and Nova Gear have invented a completely new race known as the Automata.AutomataA race of magic machines. They are the perfect magic dolls and hold no flaw in their design that constructs possess. The body is made just like a humans though it lacks the vital organs.

The races is part machine so it has full understating of machine construction as it originated from such.

This race is fully capable of using magic once the body and certain parts are made.

The race is to unknown and more information will be given as you discover it.Method of achieving, confidential.

This made O'clock's head roll in anger as the man he was hating tons at this moment showed off just to piss him off.

Delta said he achieved it like we did but he did something Delta couldn't see that was different from us.

Also...

"About ten minutes after he achieved his race, he connected to everyone in Northgate down to the last computer and completely destroyed my program that lets me watch everyone. He also made an antivirus that would keep me from spreading to anything in that town and then made a virus that is attacking me screwing with my connection with everyone else besides those with original programs who are people who meet me directly." Delta said.

O'clock gulped deeply seeing Techno's unnatural control of his own new system. He can't lose time with this worthless titan now. He closed his own connection to the titan as Delta began speaking and they rushed out to gather materials to build their first bodies.

Two and a half months after the attack

Once Techno became an Automata with Nova the ability to process information was so high that the wisdom stat was broke with three ??? in it.

Because of this unparalleled processing power they controlled every last robot they could connect to and rapidly repaired the town.

Techno went beyond and made many of them work on building true wall that could handle explosions and ended with a dense metal wall made of blocks of Steel. It would normally rust fast but because of the Metal core crystal they are greatly improved in strength and ability to resist rusting and corrosion which is really useful because now the acid for the monsters outside barely affect the walls.

The town built Strato flight robot's to have an air force to protect the town from the air. These were different because their heads were built larger and opened up to show a small cannon. The cannon wasn’t large but the power behind it will force the Strato backwards if it’s to slow.

New cannon’s, turrets and mortars were built on the walls.

In the small time after the attack all North and East gate underwent complete changes that turned them more into forts instead of towns but the destruction of both towns made them even stronger. East gate had the least technology he discovered but now everything was updated and the amount of change in East gate was very high. The area was also now very green unlike the disgusting look it had before.

The water was now much clearer and was drinkable to organic races and all the others creatures. The clockwork animals in Eastgate have evolved to be just that, animals. Still they have become very varied. Rabbits turned into many types of rodents from squirrels to rats and many others.

One thing that greatly changed after the attack is cocky fucks that keep attacking just to try and rub salt on wounds but put simply we mercilessly destroy them.

At least we know that the towns can defend themselves now and I already got this message.

Mission: Four Gate Expansion (Update)

You have completed your objective and successfully made a town in all four gates of the clockwork Scrapyard. Now the clockwork nation can slowly clean the waste of what was once their powerful race and further strengthen their hold on the world and restore it back to what it used to be.

Reward: Speak with Gaia.

That was why at this moment we were now arriving at her house.

The crew, the entire crew including Annabeth and Greer who appeared in East gate several days after we died, knew what we looked like now but we used our old bodies. Victor had completely rebuilt Asura and Yasha, with metal alchemy steel improving my stats for both bodies by 15%.

Oh right, I made sure to isolate that asshole Delta, I could dismantle him but then he wouldn’t be stuck as he was before. Taste freedom only to lose it again, that is a better way to deal with him.

Entering Gaia’s house we find that same annoying woman sitting on the seat and the man that helps keep her and every town standing Rust.

“So you finally completed the construction of all three towns. Took you long enough.” She complained.

“You try building three cities in a year and three months!” I said outloud.

Yes I have grown better at talking but strangers still get text messages but people I know like my crew and these guys I can more or less speak to. Still it was a shock to both of them who had their jaws dangling.

“Anyway, what is our reward for completing this project?” I asked. My entire crew was with us.

“First off my thanks, I couldn’t have made towns as good as those you made, especially West gate with the constant monster attacks. Now as for the physical reward, name it?” She said.

A grin appeared on my faces as she condemned herself.

“Okay then, first is as promised, we will get a pioneer group to settle in Brock, he is large enough to hold a town inside and much more. Now for the materials.” I said coughing as I pull up a list of items I needed to rapidly expand the previously mentioned town how I wanted.

List of items I need.

20 rolls of Silver Wire (10 tons)

30 rolls of Copper Wire

Domesticated monsters

5 tons of coal

Ingots

3 tons of iron

5 tons of copper

The room was silent as she read the list and my scanners already showed her gears were rattling.

“You...want silver wire…20 rolls…!” She said in a very low tone. “Exactly what do you need with all that?”

“I plan to put these to use and put Brock’s extremely large pool of mana to use.” I said putting a lightning core crystal on the table. She scanned it and looked interesting. She pushed mana inside making it release electricity.

“So use the wires to connect to the mana and then take the lightning mana to a power plant of a kind which is then made safe for use?” She said which I nodded.

“That makes better sense but so much wire feels like you also plan to make Synthoids.” She said.

“They are weaker then what I am now but they make good units but I need it to start making my new body.” I said.

“Weaker...what you are now?” Rust asked confused.

“Me and Nova are a race called Automata, these bodies are now just robot's for us to control. Our real bodies needs to be built and it’s far more advanced than this.” I said nonchantly.

Gaia started laughing hearing this thinking I was lying but I guess ignorance is bliss.

“Fine, you can have what is on the list. There are much less people now. The last year has made many towns sprout up all over the place but at least half of them fail you know.” Gaia said.

“And you think that after successfully making three large cities I will fail in making a personal base.” I replied.

“Touche. Rust please go on and get things rolling.” She says and he leaves with a goodbye.

“Now what do you plan from here.” She asked.

“Well, good question, I don’t want to rely on you for silver wire and we also need to go hunting for lots of monsters for the materials we need for my body so my best guess is heading towards the continent the Constructs are located on.” I said with a smile.

Gaia on the other hand was far from smiling.

“You think they will tell you?” She asked.

“I can persuade them or trade with them.” I replied but she just shrugs.

“Welp good riddance really. One less pain in the ass to stop giving me headaches.” She said. “Oh right, I wanted to ask you to investigate the center of the scrapyard.” She said.

“Already tried, was shot down by a race known as Cybers, the man that attacked East gate was able to meet them and through them we saw what they were. They are cybernetic Humans, half robot. They have super powerful magic powered weapons. We can’t break through even if we wanted to.” I said closing the case.

“Guessed as much, I will need to make a some restrictions to keep that area off limits.” She said in a tired voice.

“Leave it open, give a warning to everyone about it then leave them to themselves. If they die then they disregarded the warning at their own safety.” Surge said.

“Yeah I guess.” she replied

“Bro, can we go. It’s boring here and I want to adventure.” Nova said.

“Sure, we did what we wanted so let’s go.” I said. “See you some other time.” I tell her and she waves.

Before I leave though I pull out a small light green and navy blue gem in front of Gaia.

“Your wind core back and a water one if you didn’t get one already.” I said and in moments she had both the cores in her hand looking intensely at them.

The next moment her chest plate opened up and she opened two small casings and stuck the cores inside.

They soon began to glow and the main gem in the middle of her chest began to glow brighter.

“Ah how good it feels to have the basic four again, shame Menthol didn’t hand over his own cause it would have been a big help.” She said.

“Well, we are going, take care.” Bulk said as we leave.

From there we head to the giant whale that was our home and wait as more of the townspeople begin to enter their new home.

Soon the materials arrive and after several hours of loading with the town “pioneers” inside and everything inside we finally receive a message.

Mission: Four Gate Expansion (complete)

Reward: Items on the given list, 5 levels

A good parting gift as any. Time to leave and find those constructs.

BEFORE ANYONE RANTS ABOUT IT LET ME SAY FIRST.

For a clockwork Wisdom = processing power which means that what the new races possess is AI level processessing power. If anyone wants to complain still then do so but it will be an empty complaint.

As for those who want to see Delta dead. That will happen in the future and not now.

Just a heads up but I made a Word Press with two Fics I don't plan posting and are side projects that i won't do extensivly like Clockwork nor as fast
