Real world 3rd PoV

After the fake techno edited the beginning where he spoke with techno he posted the video showing the mortars and the power and how his crew reacted.

Then further on the video showed the base attack and soon the nightmarish air raid from the clockwork on the aircraft.

As more of the video progressed it showed the ship leave and get bombed and then the raid inside up until Techno completely crushed the fake before jumping to a third person pov with split screen showing both Asura and Yasha as they killed more and more from grenades, miniguns, swords, spears, bullets. It was a complete one sided mass murdering.

The video lasted nearly 30 minutes and as soon as the viewers finished they stayed nearly a minute in shock before scrolling down to find a wall of comments.

Viewer 1: ‘Ahahahaha you guys bit of more than you can chow. GO KILL THEM ALL!Viewer 2: ‘My god what is this?! Is this really inside Etheria?! What the fuck is going on and who are those guys?!Viewer 3: ‘I recognize them from when I saw them a few days ago. The big guy with the six arms downed an Ogre who was a captain of the city guard with one punch. The clockwork and dwarfs kept saying they were”the clockworks” but I didn’t get it?’Viewer 1: ‘FUCK “The Clockwork”! YOU DON’T FUCKING KNOW THEM?! They were the best players in the beta and some people say they are so far ahead of everyone that no one actually knows their real strength.’Viewer 4: ‘Wow to see “The Clockwork” crew fight. But seriously where did they get all that weaponry. I haven’t seen a lot of that stuff. The grenade launcher and pressure punch and stuff are common for clockwork knights but the cannons, mortars, flying...what ever. I never once saw any of this!’Viewer 5: ‘It’s kind of obvious. You can make all that stuff in the game you know. The world is open to restore and build so if you are good enough, even military grade weaponry can be built.’Viewer 1: ‘SERIOUS! I Don’t believe I’ve been satisfied with such weak weapons FUCK! I need to get working.Viewer 1 leaves chat.Viewer 2: Like hell I will let that idiot get ahead of me.Viewer 2 leaves chat.

The video causes a huge explosion of people search up schematics for real world weapons from small rifles to full out land tanks and even airplanes. Seeing the massive movement of people searching such dangerous items and such a small bit of the world explored LIFE company had to move faster to keep the public order that could go straight down with so many people learning how to build weapons.

The announcement of a patch happening tomorrow has everyone in a frenzy that's even more outrageous than the weapon craze. They wanted to get the mind of the public off the weapon search to keep any kind of damage to its minimum.

In the office of the CEO was the main board of director. Among them was the main chief of the GM corp. They were watching the footage from the capsules of the two GM’s travelling with Techno.

CEO: ‘My what a strange boy. What made him so cold and closed?’

GM Chief: ‘I don’t know. Since those girls were made to travel with them I tried to learn about his life and everything looked normal until three years ago when he was sent to the juvenile detention center but when I asked to see the case files I was heavily barred from seeing it to the point of paranoia. I can’t get a single record on the boy besides his family being in an accident after he was imprisoned for 10 years. He is now serving time inside the game as test subjects for the feedback system.’

The CEO nodded a bit and sighed before sitting back in his chair.

CEO: ‘Put the boy under heavy observation. He seems to experience heavy emotional fluctuation from one moment to another such as when he was laughing at his impersonator and turned that into anger and drive to destroy them. Also change the amount of time the juvenile convicts stay in game from five game months to one. Thats six days so on sunday they come out of the game and return on monday. Give the boy and girl physiological treatment, the boy for his problems and the girl to make sure she wasn’t affected by the accident or anything else. Look into other children as well who might need that as well and provide it. A hour or two a day in a private office should do.’

With that the orders were given and a notification was sent to all those testing the feedback system.

Techno PoV

Because of a patch, Etheria: The Ruined World will undergo an update on Sunday of this week and will come back online the next day on Monday 1 of July 2034.

LIFE company.

To all the players participating in the feedback test. Due to scientists in LIFE company finding that a rest period is required for the mind. You will play one in game month and be logged off back to Virtual city to rest.

Several test subjects have shown some mental trauma and will undergo physiological treatment during that time and will be monitored more vigorously in game in case of further mental trauma.

Oh how grand. Now I have to do this as well. Well I can’t say it wasn’t uncalled for. The video of my crew decimating the pirates would cause quite a commotion.

Anyway we are still travelling and it’s already night time but I wanted to finish my project quick to make sure a chance like this doesn’t escape me.

What I was building was a small metal ball. It was the size of a basketball and was built with simple iron and held together with several interior pressure activated pistons that could open the ball in half revealing the smaller inner ring that held the hardware of the little robot and the small engine that powered it.

This was, in all shape or form, my fakes humiliation.

I remembered finding on youtube an old french cartoon called code lyoko which was also about a VR world. One of the monsters was similar to this. It was called the Megatank and was one of the strongest monsters because of its outer shell. I made sure to make this toy for my fake as far from that as possible but with that model.

With it done I stick the motherboard into the spot and then make a simple program to warm me when he logs in. I don’t think he will until after the patch but you can never be too careful.

I leave it alone and walk outside. Brock was up still not having logged off or gone to sleep like the others. His main concern was his whale body vanishing. We had told him that the body doesn’t vanish and even showed him Bulk who we confirmed logging out by me holding him by the leg upside down but he was still concerned so we let him guide the whale back to the city.

The progress wasn't as fast as our ship because he only just made his new body but it still moved well.

I asked Brock if he could make a corridor up to his back. It wasn't to hard and and was quickly made.

The entrance is about two thirds down his back. When we exited we were met with a rocky mountain land like back but it wasn't to hilly except for when his body dips for him to beat his tail. It wasn't so fast so even though the wind was strong it was weaker than what we felt on our ship.

When we reached the head we found several small crystal outcrops. They were well hidden but the dim light they give off showed their position in the dark night.

I sat by myself on top of flat rock head of the sky whale and looked up at the sky.

I wonder how long was it that I just lay back and look up at the sky. I breath out a sigh as my eyes took in the incredible view of the entire galaxy of Etheria's universe.

The lights of all the stars lit the sky and strangely because of the pollution in the air it gave the lights a strangely mesmerizing look.

Brock: 'So you like the view of the night sky?'

I looked around but didn't see brock.

Brock: 'I can project my voice by vibrating several metals around you. I have hear in the same way. I have the helmet on inside.'

I looked around and saw several vibrating rocks around a mana crystal.

I thought for a while and laid back down.

Techno: '...'

Brock: 'Don't want to talk at all?'

Techno: '...Do...you still regret being made Nova's familiars?'

Brock: '...'

He froze from the question spoken out loud. They have only heard me talking with Nova or yelling at Gaia so to be have a normal question asked might strange.

Brock: 'Um...well I wasn't happy but I don't regret it now. Its a lot of fun and I'm sure I would never have gotten this race or anything if I wasn't with you guys. So no I don't regret it.'

I think deeply about it.

Techno: 'What about the other two?'

Brock: 'Ena and Blaze? You need to ask them not me.'

I nod silently and just lay there for a long time letting the wind pass over and through by body.

After a while the stars dimmed and I sat up and saw it was because of the lights from South Gate city.

It was still the dead of the night but we arrived. Over the town Menthol was floating and we could see the lights of two ships flying about from the scraps on to his back.

Techno: "Want to go down or just land in the scraps and log off?"

Brock: 'I think I will sit down a bit off. See you in a day or two.'

I pat the big whale and soon. It started descending and after a careful landing in the cleaned dirt area around the city I saw the mana crystals dim after he logged off. I checked his status and a (logged off) was at the top. From the attack on the pirates the three elementals gained 3 levels and Nova herself gained 4 from the bombing. I gained 4 since I was using more than one body and the robots.

As for the rest I can't say unless they tell me but I guess everyone is at least above level seventy already.

What passed through my head was what this new patch would hold. The first one jumped to the future and let the NPC work to make a nation.

Maybe this one will fast forward to expansion. Some games gave players the chance to be managers of a village. This might expand all the nations enough to make a proper economy if they can set up properly and make unique products or at least get normal products it woild work out fine.

With brock off now the whale was the mercy of everyone when they wake up.

Well at least I thought that until something fell off the giant whale in the air crashing just in front of the whale kicking up lots of dust. As the dust settles I see the black figure of a man walking out of the crater that was formed and that suddenly jumped up here.

I already recognized the figure since it fell from the sky and survived.

I pulled out a small headset like the one used by the girls and tossed it to him.

Techno: "So what brings you crashing down here?"

Menthol: 'Well I saw this boy here and was kind of shocked that he already got to this size.'

Techno: "Its probably not so big since it was made around a cave so the body stretched to meet the size."

He nods a bit and sits down cross legged in front of me before looking up at the sky.

Menthol: 'Its been so long since I sat down and just looked up at the sky. The stink in the air made me hide away. Right now I am staying here only for a bit because the trees and such made by the elves clean the air a bit.'

Techno: 'I can't smell or anything so I wouldn't know.'

He chuckles a bit but doesn't take his eyes from the sky. I look up as well. The mix of the night sky, Etheria's two moons and Menthol's Sky Whale gave the scenery a mystic look. Looking close you could see a new little waterfall on the side we could see.

Techno: "You made a waterfall?"

Menthol: "Hehehe, I was hoping you would notice. Yes, well I always had the water and only let it out when I was in dry areas. You should know an elemental that becomes a spirit tends to attract more elementals. For me, as a necessity to survive without coming down for water I located some water elementals. Its one of the reasons I came here. Here take it.'

In his open hand was a small little light blue pearl which reflected the weak light coming from the city.

Menthol: 'This here is a water elementals core. Be careful because they are mischievous if you wake one up incorrectly. For a peaceful one you need completely pure water filyed to as high purity as possible. Unlike the golems who are stupid if they aren't born under the guidance of a greater elemental, Undine as they are called, are highly intelligent. This core I got from the queen living deep in my reservoir. A normal core would be a small blue ball instead of a pearl like this.'

Techno: "Is it different?"

Menthol: 'She can be called a lesser spirit. Earth spirits like me or the boy here...'

He pats Brocks whale.

Menthol: '...are called greater spirits, we are some of the strongest form of spirits because of them.'

Hand once again pats the whale below us.

Techno: "Are your second body that important?"

Menthol: 'Quite. No other Spirit gains a secondary body except my race and it's the reason why the transformation from golem to Earth Spirit is so intense.'

I nod understanding. I look at the little blue pearl.

Techno: "Mind looking after them. I want to go piss Gaia off a bit while I rip my reward for eradicating a pirate group."

He started laughing loudly hearing this.

Menthol: 'As long as you record the image of her having a tantrum them I don't care. I love seeing her annoyed but I was never able to get that reaction from her since she annoyed me before I could.'

I chuckle and turn to Yasha and have it bring the frozen demon's corpse before we jump down and head to the city.

Thankfully everyone was asleep because walking in with a corpse on your shoulders isn't the best thing to be seen carrying.

We reach the house and I casually connect to her systems which were off. I just careful took control and had her open the door and then made her led us to the office where I sat her down and then I put the head of the demon just in front of her face before doing a complete booting.

I was having Yasha film it allwhile a grin and as soon as her eyes turned on she took a moment to see what that was before she jumped back and fell off the seat she didn't remember shutting down in.

I couldn't help laughing. Actually since that idiot made me burst out laughing it feels a bit easier to laugh unlike before.

I can't wait until he wakes up as well. Anyway back to the idiot wth the rattling gears in front of me.

Gaia: 'WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM! And how did you get in?!'

Techno: "You let us in personally I have video footage if you want."

She grabbed Yasha and Asura by the head to fast for me to react.

Gaia: 'SHOW...ME!!'

It was a deadly tone but I just grinned as I searched up the film in Yasha's memories before uploading to her.

She let go and watched it. Moments later she turned around with glowing red eyes.

Gaia: 'You...hacked...me!'

Techno: ”I do the same to my crew all the time when i upgrade them so I know the way to do it without turning the mind on. Also I turned you on before so I know the way.”

She breathed in and out while her gears rattled loudly.

Techno: ”Before you try and kill me its about that mission you sent for the pirates.”

Still breathing heavily she looked at me.

Gaia: ‘What about it!’

I pat on the head of the frozen corpse.

Techno: ”Leader of the Pirates. Now what is my reward.”

She instantly froze up as she looked at him. The damage to the body was two wounds made from the spears on his leg and chest.

Gaia: ‘Demon race!? Wait, this is an awakened. *sigh* Thank god its only an awaken. If it wasn’t then it would be trouble.’

Techno: ”Why?”

Gaia: ‘The Demon race are the leaders of their nation which is why the Nation is called the Demon Nation just like ours is called the Clockwork Nation. The awakened demons can appear both here and in their own nation but those who appear here have a hard time since they are magic users and not tech users.’

I already understood the connection. They can’t learn more then the basic spells provided by the game system and only elves know magic but demons can’t learn many of their spells which revolve around nature and light magic while theirs is more Fire and darkness magic. Put simply it's a death trap race here for now. If Fire elementals had survived and weren’t aggressive they would have had it easier but the only ones with traces of intelligence were the two with me and those being bred on Menthol so they can’t even learn much of that.

Gaia: ‘Anyway the reward you get. Well the reward we can give is mineral since you have the blueprints to nearly all our weapons. As many derived from your own stuff and you made us hand them over when you woke up.’

I simply shrug it off. Minerals was fine since you can’t have enough and since we will be travelling for a while we can get a lot out of them while we make more weapons. Since Brock is still small in size compared to Menthol I want to put turrets and such on his back.

Techno: ”Oh, we found a large number of enslaved Clockwork in the pirates base and restored them. We will leave them here.”

She sighed deeply.

Gaia: ‘There isn’t space.’

Techno: ‘Huh?’

It was unintentional but the shock of hearing that made me unconsciously speak.

Gaia: ‘The city is at its limit in population and we can’t build fast enough to support so many awakened. I sent all the race representatives back to their own capitals with the suggestion of expanding. Since the awakened are the largest in bulk in terms of numbers we will have a lot of you going out and make new villages and cities. This would remove a lot of people from the cities. We will provide two caravel ships holding materials and tools needed to set up and the specialized manpower from the natives to help. So if you want why not take those clockwork and some other from the nations races and make a city somewhere.’

Techno: ”No thanks.”

Gaia: ‘I feel it would be a good way for you to start opening up to others but fine. The offer still hasn’t been approved by all the races of the capital so you can think about it with your friends. Oh we will also be making an office where you can officially form a crew legally.’

Techno: ”Explain?”

Gaia: ‘Its simple, to make a crew you need a ship at least caravel sized and at minimum 5 other members no matter the age. You go to your capital and register. You have to design a flag or crest for your crew to be recognized with and you will be given a device that will let you register those in your crew. They can be both awakened and natives.’

Techno: So this Crew system is in other words the same as a fantasy games Guild system. I guess its understandable now what the patch is about. ”Outside of town there is a new earth spirit, Brock, the Nova’s pet golem, survived the transformation into an Earth Spirit. Take our reward there and leave it there. We will gather it later. You do what you want with this.”

I pointed to the corpse and with her nod I left. It went strangely well and I was able to catch a really nice video of Gaia scared out of her mind.

I return to our new base and climb up to find Menthol laid there with the headset visor on his head.

Techno: ”I got the video. Lets enjoy it on a bigger screen”

I said that with a grin and led him into the ship inside Brock and watched while laughing our asses off.
