《Raak》Prologue

Congratulations: You died!
"Bwah?!" James sat bolt upright, slamming his face into the small girl leaning over him causing her to flail her arms and fall backwards with a squeak.
"Eyaaaaah!" The girl laid on her back for a while, seemingly stunned, as James looked on questioningly. The small girl then started giggling and rolling around on the floor. James looked on with his eyes wide 'Is this what an insane person looks like?'
"Welcome to the afterlife James, you died!" The girl said, in a seemingly far too upbeat mood, considering the content. She leapt to her feet, grin splitting her whole face and eyes squinting slightly. The girl looked to be about 12-13 years old, blonde hair down to her feet and wearing a white sundress. James finally peeled his eyes away from the strange insane girl to look around the room. Everything was white, it was so white in fact that he couldn't get a handle on how large the room actually was.
"The room has no size, it is not really a room, either. This place happens to be a separate dimension I created specifically to speak to you for this short time." The girl said, still with that same grin on her face.
'Eeeeeeh? Did she just read my mind?' James thought.
"Of course, I am God after all, it would be silly to think that I couldn't." The girl's grin widened even more.
"Riiiiight, so I'm dead then? What killed me?" (James)
"A meteorite, I threw it at you while you were sleeping." (God)
"Wait, so you killed me? Why?" (James)
"Well, I was bored and you were bored, so I felt like we could do something fun." (God)
"Look, you seem nice and all, but I don't really have a thing for little girls, so could you just send me back now?" (James)

The girl looked stunned at the curt answer before her grin returned just as quickly and she started laughing like a maniac.
"Hahahahahahaha, tha- haa haa, that isn't what I meant at all." The goddess said while giggling. "No, I have a new universe I created based on the games and fictions from your world and I want you to test it for me. Think of yourself as a beta tester for a new universal system. Well, I say new but the world is still over a hundred thousand years old." (God)
"Besides, it's not actually possible for you to go back home, you are dead after all." (God)
"Aahh, I suppose so, it isn't like I wanted to be there anymore anyway." James had been 32 years old when he died. Still quite young as far as most people were concerned, but he had grown tired of living the same boring grind that everyone else seemed perfectly content with. Working every day, eating, playing games, and sleeping. Barely living, he had once called it, no goals in life, just existing for the sake of existing.
“Well, what kind of world am I going to anyways, you said something about a game-like system?” (James)
“Yes, it is a world made with a free-form levelling system, there are no classes but it does have levels, attributes and skills.” (God)
“What about magic?” (James)
“Of course it has magic! How could it be a game world without magic?” (God)
“Sounds like it could be fun, what do I need to do?” (James)
“That's just it, I don't need you to do anything, be yourself, and have fun.” (God)
“So there is no demon lord or catastrophic problems in the world? I don't have to save the world from impending doom?” (James)

“Well, there is a demon lord, but you don't have to do anything about it if you don't want to. The world isn't in any form of immediate crisis.” (God)
“Cool, so I just get to play around in a fantasy world for fun? Can I start now?” (James)
“Not so fast, we haven't figured out what you want to be yet” (God)
“What do you mean?” (James)
“Well, for instance, there are many races aside from humans that are available in the new system.” (God)
“Such as?” (James)
“Well, there are several hundred races, some of which start sentient, and others that may gain sentience with time. Of course, any race you choose would start sentient regardless.” (God)
“Any suggestions then?” (James)
“Well from how I see it, you have two options. The first would be to pick a race and depending on the difference in the strength of your soul and the body itself, I could give you some starting skills to balance out the remainder.” The goddess said while thinking. “The second option would be to choose a skill and I can see if there are any races compatible with the chosen skill.” (God)
“What do you mean by the 'strength of my soul'?” James asked.
“Well, the soul can only handle so much strain before being torn apart, as such if you were to pick very powerful abilities and an incredibly powerful race, the soul would not have enough strength to support both. If you tried to do it anyway you would most likely die as soon as I created your body. Of course, I wouldn't let you choose something like that, as it would be pointless to have you revisit me so soon.” (God)
“Hmmmm, I have an idea for a skill but I'm not sure it's viable” (James)
The goddess seemed to be pondering for a bit before saying. “It's a good skill, but you do realize you will have to have a comparatively weak body to compensate for it.”
'It seems she read my mind again,' James thought, smiling, and said, “I figured that would be the case when I thought of it.”
“You are going to have a hard time in the beginning, but watching your growth should be incredibly exciting. I look forward to seeing what you can do,” The cheshire-like grin spread across the goddess' face again.
James took one last look at the room as everything faded to black and thought. 'I hope she doesn't make me a slime.'

Eight
His name is Eight. Not really, but that’s what the System decided after a slip of the tongue. One moment, he was stepping out the office door on the way home, and the next waking up on a hillside below a town wall. Oh, and the gate guard drove him off, because he thought Eight was a monster. Life’s tough when you’re trapped in an eight-year old body on another world. The first book focuses on Eight's survival on a dangerous new world. If you're a fan of Gary Paulsen's Hatchet, you'll enjoy it. The story is one of discovery, bushcraft, and finding one's way. Note that, while this is very much LitRPG, progression is slow, and Eight spends much of the first book alone. The second book recounts what happens when Eight and friends head east to the village of Voorhei. Expect a blend of fantasy adventure, ghost story, cozy mystery, and family drama. Books one and two make a complete story, while book 3 has just gotten underway.

God Blade (Hiatus)
Theo, a prodigy of sword and an aspiring adventurer, lives in an RPG-like world where everyone has their own level and skill. However, his is a hardcore RPG world where more than half of its human never gets higher than level one. So who is Theo you ask? Was he a ninja trying to be a leader in his hidden village? Was he trying to be a pirate king? Maybe a teenager summoned from another world? A chosen one of the god? A man whose girlfriend is secretly the demon queen? A cook in a journey to make the greatest dish? Or maybe the reincarnation of an ancient Dark Lord? Well, No. Theo is a man born in that world. An NPC you might say. Not only that, he wasn't even the true hero or the main protagonist of his own world. But he does have to meet all those people during his journey to accomplish his dream. ----- 1 chapter every 2 or 3 days. I don't claim the MC of my story to be not cliched. With so many stories on the internet right now, It's almost impossible if not outright impossible to make an original MC. The best I can do is pick the kind of cliched MC I like the most and give it a twist of my own. English is not my first language, so there will be some mistakes in every chapter. Please notify me in the comment if you found one (Or some). I'm still an inexperienced writer, so feedbacks and reviews are very much appreciated.

Born from a higher form of intelligence that was spending its immortality crossing between worlds, the creature's mission was simple : live and see. See what for yourself what the world has to offer. But what the world had to offer was sometimes quite overwhelming. ** [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] from chapter 2; be careful, chapter 1 has sexual content. Refer to the tags as the story can be quite dark. The story is a slice of life turned not so wholesome as the protagonist meets mostly freaks while becoming one themself.
