This means what the chapter is titled. This book is currently going on a minimum one-year-long hiatus. I've been meaning to officially do this for.... a year now at least, but now that i finally have some motivation to, I'm calling it! Woohoo. Finally.

No I will not be dropping this novel. I still love writing. This book is just.. its hard to write sometimes due to the closeness of the characters to certain aspects of my life, as I'm sure is true for many author's first books. I need to take some time away from it, officially, where I have no guilty conscience in the back of my mind telling me I'm neglecting my child. So, we are going on a minimum one-year-long hiatus.

No, I won't stop writing. Maybe I'll even write a chapter or two of this book during it, but it won't be posted or if it is, it will be a one-time thing not to be put back on schedule just yet.

Yes, I have been writing and drafting other works that are less personal and more... fun for me to do. That project will likely take the spare time i usually devoted to this before writing became something I began to dread.

That being said, my new project is called 'The Marine' and will be a sort of culture-clash between lit rpg, fantasy, and a bit of sci-fi. I've written a few chapters and... Idk, it has me excited again about this hobby I found I loved a couple years back. I hope you aren't all too upset at this, and if you want to read more by me while waiting for A Gentleman's Curse, give this one a shot.

Or, wait, actually. There isn't much out and in the event you do like it, you'll probably curse me for there not being enough to read.

I just married my sister off to a great man the other day, and despite the way covid ruined my helicopter flight training when I was almost done, I'm about to get back at it! So I'm doing better :)
