《Stranger than Fiction (Draft Edition)》A Final Note Before Moving On.

Yeah, not a chapter. You’ll get those on the new version. But some words needed to be said, and hence, this AN.
Stranger Than Fiction was the first, and dare we say so, the hardest work in our career as authors. Both of us started our writing journey as fanfiction-writers trying to appease a niche audience. The conception for this tale began as a trial-and-error process, learning how to create an original novel with proper plot, characterization and pacing, all the while trying to sail across the uncharted waters of creating our first and very own, LITRPG fiction. And now, at the end of Book 1 - GODSFALL, we as authors would like to thank everyone that has been part of this wonderful journey. We couldn’t have pushed it to the finish line without the help and support of the constellations of generous, talented and amazing people who brightened our sky during its writing.
We’d like to thank our Editor-In-Chief, Solo Starfish, for working out the magic time and time again, and having our back every step out of the way. We’d also like to thank our team at the Discord Server, who have done a wonderful job at maintaining our Server. They have been very supportive of us.
We are very grateful to all our Patrons, our generous benefactors that have constantly supported us over the last year and then some. Even when we rewrote STF and put forward this new edition, they did not lose their faith in us. It is said that a betterment in writing is a skill gained through effort, but even those efforts crumble and fall to dust without the support of stars shining the way. Our Patrons have been those stars, those pillars of constant encouragement that have brought both us as authors to grow, and Stranger Than Fiction to become its best possible version. A story that will now span over no less than seven books, and soon to be available on Amazon, both in Ebook and audiobook versions.

And finally, we’d want to thank all our readers. Each one of you that has taken the time, sorted Stranger Than Fiction out among the endless shining stars of literature that Royal Road holds within its cradle. It might not have meant much to you, but every single comment has helped us in ways we cannot describe. Some of you have been very vocal about pointing out our improvement in presentation and plot quality, while others have pointed out mistakes that would otherwise have remained unseen, only to become dark smears on an otherwise good story. There have been readers that have commented on every single chapter, showing their support, telling us they’re there with us, reading our chapter updates. There have been those of you that have taken the time to give Ratings and Reviews, and made it easier for new audiences to get a feel of the book before deciding to turn its pages. And finally, there are our early readers, who have suffered through our multiple drafts and gave us indispensable feedback along the way.
Every single one of those comments matters. Every single one of you readers matters. For us.
And now, we address those readers that are still here, hesitant to move to the new edition for multiple reasons. Maybe you think that after the 3rd edition, there will be a 4th and 5th and more. Maybe you have lost faith in our ability to successfully move ahead with the story. Maybe you’re simply waiting for the new edition to reach a substantial number of chapters in Book 2 before wanting to jump into it. It could be any number of reasons.
But we want to assure you that your hesitation is unwarranted. In less than two months, Stranger Than Fiction Book 1 -GODSFALL, is hitting Amazon in Ebook and Audiobook formats. We have published that final version in our latest Royal Road edition. We have, some hours ago, finished publishing the entirety of Book 1, a whopping 1,88,000 words, distributed across 60 chapters. The new version has at least 60% divergence from what you read, and at the same time, makes for a far enriched reading experience. At least, that’s what the readers say.

This AN is both a reminder, informing you about the status of our publication, and a request, to join in on the new book and enjoy it. Without your support, Stranger Than Fiction is nothing, has been nothing, will be nothing. But with your support, it can manifest as the grandiose fantasy that two dreamers tried to manifest through nothing but words.
Thank you,
T. B. Mare.
A special note for our Patrons
Now that Book 1 is over, we will update the new Book 2 on a new schedule, with roughly 5000-worded chapters posted around 5 times a month. This will be better than the initial 2000-worded chapters, posted 8 times a month. Not only will it allow us to give larger chapters, it will enhance the pacing and make it an altogether smoother and more enjoyable reading.
Within 24 hours, our patrons will get to read up to 8 Chapters ahead on Book 2. We’re tentatively calling it Burning Winter. We will post the Prologue of Book 2 on Royal Road on 27th of June, preferably during the early hours.

The Hunt
Cecily's blade swung, hitting its mark as always. The man's arm fell to the cold grass of the prison with a familiar thud. He let out a blood curdling scream. A warning to the rest. Stay away, the Hunter is here. That's the name they'd given her, the Hunter. After she cut off the man who tried to rape hers masculinity, they stayed away. She'd made it clear anyone who tried to touch her would be hunted and slaughtered. Cecily kneeled down, pushing the man's face into the dirt so she could use his back as a seat while she trifled through his belongings. "You're hurting my ears," she told him, no remorse in her voice. "Quiet down before I really do kill you."The man but his lip, well aware that she wasn't lying. Sobs shook him, making for an uncomfortable seat. She, however, didn't particularly feel the beed to kill him. It happened, not often, but it did. "Oh, hush up," she hissed, taking out a bag of rations with her metal hand, "it doesn't hurt that bad."With her good, human hand, she dropped the plastic bag of food into her own bag. She pushed up, off the man back. As she was about to walk away, bag slung over her shoulder, brushing against her autumn colored braid, she turned back to him. "Consider yourself lucky," she said, no hatred in her voice, there never was. "Consider yourself lucky that you didn't do anything stupid. And even luckier if one of the scum bagged criminals in here feel a little light in their hearts and help you. Consider yourself luckier if you die there."With that, her old black and white Nike sneakers carried her off into the brush of the huge prison.
