《Orc Lord》63. The Journal of Iyanu Ezravalia

I'm eager to read what’s hidden in these pages, but this spell pattern doesn't fall under the Orc language magic. I was thinking about asking Fiara to help me figure it out, but then I remembered I have .
Fiara’s , if she’s embedded them yet, allow the user to “quickly identify spell patterns.” It's extremely useful in a magic battle because you can figure out what spell the enemy will use before they use it. However, it can only identify the spell, and that’s all. On the other hand, my allows me to “interpret spell patterns.” This one here is in code, but I'm hoping can help me.
I activate and feel my Magic Power draining away like water. The cost efficiency for decoding difficult information is horrible, but I was able to understand the spell pattern. Taking a breath, I hold my hand over the stack of papers and mutter, “.”
My magic power takes the appropriate form and flows out. The papers glow blue for a moment and the dummy text fades away. What’s left are the original works, and a different spell pattern--probably for resealing the papers.
Now I just need a few minutes to figure out this language, and I can read it!
My language magic, as far as I've noticed, seems to get better with each language I learn. I expected this language wouldn't take me very long at all, but it took over an hour before I was able to actually understand it. It also threw me off because the writing was aligned vertically. You have to read it from the top down and from right to left.
Ah! Finally! This language is really complicated…
Eagerly, despite it being about the time when I should get to sleep, I pour over the papers starting from page one. Unfortunately, they don't seem to start at the beginning of whatever they were talking about.
[... however, the agate crystals grown in the lab only conducted space magic at 42% efficiency when compared to naturally grown crystals, according to this month’s lab data.

In other news, we have had good results using green sapphires as a unifying agent in mixing the powder for the enchantment. Magic power efficiency was increased by 13% in testing. We are optimistic about the changes this will bring to the agricultural industry.]
There were several data charts on the page, which I skimmed.
No wonder it took so long to translate. It’s written in a technical dialect.
When I was thinking the whole stack would be boring things I couldn't understand, I turned to the next page. It turns out, several pages from different works got mixed up, since nobody could read them. Hopeful, I poured over the second page.
[The Birth of the Moon
by Airami Silvarareta
Three years ago, when I was seven years old, the moon almost destroyed the planet. It wasn't there forever, and then it suddenly came. It was going to smash into us and kill everything.
Mommy and daddy took me to the space chamber, and there were pretty magic tools everywhere. They said that if the Gods didn't stop it, that we were all going to leave and go to a different world. It was a little scary, and really crowded.
But an old Wyre flew up, and he used space magic to seal the moon in place! It was really, really cool!
Mommy and daddy weren't very happy about it. They didn't like that the spirits showed special favor to the Wyre. I'm jealous too, but I'm still happy that we get to stay in this world.
And that’s what I remember about the day the Moon was born.]
There were some markings at the top of the paper that I interpreted as a paper grade. I think this second page was a school assignment for some Indigo child, and it was much easier to read because of it. I place that page aside and begin scanning the next one. It starts with an obscure date at the top.
[Today, we will open up the spirit channel longer than ever before. Communication with these creatures of infinite understanding is the greatest achievement of our people. All of our magic tools and sciences are thanks to enlightenment brought by this bond. The knowledge of hundreds of worlds flows into us through them, and makes us stronger. This is to be celebrated.

Lately, our mother, the Wisdom God Asume, has grown more distant from us. It is sad, but we will not give up our contact with the spirits in favor of her. The spirits bring us enough knowledge to satisfy our starving minds that she created us with. As the Gods are not permitted to interfere in our world so directly, she can only offer us paltry wisdom in comparison.
More important than that, we have already understood, through the spirits, the place the Gods have in this universe. Worshiping them, as the other races do, is not something we will do after learning it. After all, if you're looking for a truly infinite being, you need look no farther than these marvelous spirits we are now able to speak with.
I look forward to this opening of the channel. Soon, I'm sure, our contract will be finished so we may present it to them. I am filled with anticipation.]
A new section started, with a much later date written at the top.
[Our mother wishes to destroy us. Because we overstepped our bounds as mortals, the Systemic Order traced us back to her. For a God to fail in this basic governing, it’s natural that they will shatter. Before that happens, she wishes to prevent us from sharing our understanding with the other Races. She wants to prevent us from shattering the other Gods.
We do not care.
The W system has already been fully integrated into this world’s order, and the W procedure along with it. The spirits themselves gave permission to integrate it, and the Gods cannot go against that. The people of this world will forever be able to interact with the spirits, if only to this little extent.
We cannot escape being eradicated. Our Godly mother has sealed off all dimensional boundaries while she gathers her power. But after everything that has happened, we refuse to let our understandings be lost to the void.
They will recycle our souls. Resources are too precious to throw away. They will reshape us to suit the other Races in this world, by force if necessary. We know what their actions will be, and so we have already prepared our response.
As I write, hundreds of us at a time are undergoing the ceremony to create our mind seeds. We will encrypt them using the W procedure, and the Gods will not have the power to detect or destroy them. Our souls that reincarnate, we will, each of us, guide our future, pitiful selves. Someday, we will be born again as Indigos.
We have already gotten the spirits’ consent. Tomorrow, we will complete the contract for the W condition. Not a single mortal soul will be reincarnated into this world without engraving it. Our people will rise again, because all the people of the world will wish it.
And as for what becomes of the Gods or this world once our people have returned-- once we have continued to dig into the very fabric of this universe with our magic? Likely, as our mother fears, it will shatter. There is no way for the Systemic Order to ignore such a breach in mortal and godly authority.
I think it's fine if it shatters. What’s so bad about it? Even if everything shatters, we are not bound to the continuity of temporal space. There would be no suffering. Instead, I look forward to the day we stand side by side with the spirits, beyond the boundaries of this universe.

Star Wars - Trials of the Sith
The Sith are harsh. They can be cruel. They may be insane. But they are always strong. The journey to that strength is through the fire and the fury of trials where there is no mercy shown. While being forged into a weapon of the Empire, one has to have the strength of will, toughness of mind and the hardness of body. If they succeed, then they may, one day, be known as a Lord of the SIth. This is the story of one such weapon. **Author's notes - I will be posting this on other sites as well such as SH, AO3 and others as I find them. **About this story: This was only intended to be a one off story that is connected my much larger Star Wars fanfic novels, so the first chapter was huge. I have been absolutely delighted to see such a positive response to this (On Scribble Hub) and have decided to continue Talo's story. I have several ideas about this and will be twining her story into the novels as I figure it out. I am very much a Pantser so I have no idea how this will play out. I hope you enjoy the ride as we explore these concepts.

Tera: Still Untitled
A story told from the point of view of an NPC that became sentient. With the help of a friendly player or two, they set about recovering her memories and finding out the cause of her awakening. Set in the MMORPG TERA(The Exiled Realm of Arborea). I got bored on the long commute to and from work(about 1.5 hours each way) and decided to flesh out some of the ideas I've had about my character in game. I write about a chapter a day on weekdays, maybe on weekends too depending on the stuff I have to do irl.

How About Heresy?
Jeffrey's a guy who's most certainly a heretic but likes to believe he's not. Like we all do. Though, being a villain, there are many do gooders that'd like to exchange a strong word— or rather fisticuffs with him. Doing the deeds of villains, he places his own strange lens of justice over it, all the while, being an absolute fool. How will Jeffrey fare against the might of the good? —————————— "You tryin' ta shill me heresy?" "Ye- I mean yesn't," That's absurd why would I shill heresy? I'm not a heretic godsdamnit! In a realm of heretics and apostles alike, what to do? Well, I'm not sure of that myself. Though I have a feeling joining a cult may not be the best action... "No way. Are we being clapped by the power of friendship?" "Indeed we are," Shite. NOTE: - Don't expect an overpowered main character, nor a weak character. Strength isn't a plot point. - This is mainly a comedy, so it ain't as dark as you think it'd be despite the numerous mentions of cultists, heretics and murder... - There isn't going to be any face slapping scenes.
