On Parts and Precedence
A mysterious damsel appears before King Arthur’s court with a strange sword, and promises it to whoever can draw it from its scabbard. King Arthur fails to unsheathe the weapon, as do all his knights present at his court. However, an ex-convict named Balin succeeds in unsheathing the wicked blade Tyrfing. What dangers loom before him and his newly acquired weapon? What misfortune awaits him on his adventures? Find out in On Parts and Precedence. New chapters weekly.
8 185Resistance is Futile
Resistance is Futile 2336 G-L32 is my title. I go G’ell though, pronounce it how you like, it doesn’t matter. I was born, like the rest of the human race this era, with my abilities. I can manipulate the world around me, using the Strand to do it, looks like the old telekinesis “superpowers” the old humans used to entertain themselves with. As of only recently, within the last 20 years, the Ul’Katoin ripped open space to take our planets. However, they didn’t expect our resistance. They are stronger than us, faster, and far, far more adaptable and enduring. Humanity however, can use technology. Wherever they lay their roots, we burn them away with plasma and radiation. But where we lay down our foundations in their world, they snuff out our light with their vines and tendrils. And with The Jhar Empyrean and other space-faring empires keeping their borders tight, we have nowhere else to expand to. Humanity finds a way, and our soldiers will bring the fury of a Nebulean storm upon the Hellscape the Ul’Katoin call home. And I am one of those soldiers.
8 122Yeo-na and the Fox god
Taiki is a powerful aristocratic creature from the demon realm, known for countless ruthless acts. He swore within himself to avoid having a shared fate with humans which he considers as inferior beings. Hae Yeo-na is a Chaebol heiress brought up in a conservative family. She is seemingly unaware of the spiritual energy that dwells within her and the shared fate she might have with a being that takes uttermost delight in bringing utter terror to others. The presence of the human proves to be a great disturbance to the fox god, who then takes it upon himself to force his way into the human world, to once and for all put an end to their shared history.
8 149Stairway to Heaven
Humans are complicated, awfully fragile beings, far too weak to survive amid the other extraterrestrials that lie dormant across the galaxies. Instead of physical altercations, they would rather engage in verbal abuse, breaking an individual's psyche as a hobby. They excel at deception and manipulation, far too interested in bringing their brothers and sisters down and reaching for the top of their self-made hierarchies. Beyond their questionable nature and moral compasses, they long to find meaning in their lives and put names to the feelings that drive each passing moment. They are insatiable—far too greedy for more knowledge and a supposed understanding of their lives. It's pitiable, really, the way they struggle to find themselves while ravaging their kind through petty wars and conflicts built off of misunderstanding. Humans are complicated, awfully fragile beings. They created words and languages to fill the holes that lived inside their souls, desperate for ways to find meaning in their incredibly short lifespans. They'll waste their entire lives trying to find their so-called passions and reasons for living, acting as if they truly rule the way their lives go, supposed "controllers of their own destiny." Yet, they cannot evade the inevitable visit from death, who stands next to them, ticking the seconds down until their demise.
8 98Deviant's Masquerade: Setting Lore Compendium
Due to popular request, this is a lore compendium for the Deviant's Masquerade Setting, collecting all of the reader asked questions into a single place while also elaborating on the setting itself for anyone who is interested in the world that my stories: Hacking Reality, The Huntsman's Quest, Get Ink'd, All The Sinners Saints, and the DM Anthology takes place in. Please Note: Due to being an informational series rather than an actual story, this fiction may update sporadically compared to the rest of my near weekly stories.
