Lara's POV;

The next day Franky visited us after breakfast. He held a speech about his dream of building a ship that stood at the top of all ships. The best ship in the world. A ship made out of Adam Tree. He had already bought the wood with the money he has had stolen from the Straw Hats and now wishes to give them the ship he will build with it.

The Straw Hats were flabbergasted by his offer and readily accepted, they were in need of a new one after all.

Noa was looking at me with pleading eyes. I knew what he wanted to ask, so I sighed before addressing Franky. “Say, Franky, may our shipwright Noa help you with the construction? Our own new ship is made out of the same wood, but Noa got help in building it from an old guy called Marvin. More experience with the wood would be great for Noa.”

Franky showed visible surprise at the name of Marvin as well as the information that our ship was made out of the highly sought out wood. He then eyed Noa for a moment before nodding and clapping him on the back. “Of course, he looks to have some skill and the more the merrier.”

Noa's cheering was interrupted by the destruction of the wall next to the entrance. Someone has punched a hole into it. The dust settled quickly and we soon could see that it was a Marine. But not any Marine, it was Garp the Hero. Not that anyone knew that right away.

And one thing, the anime didn't bring it over correctly, but his upper body was big and fucking muscular, no wonder he has such a strong punch. “You are the Straw Hat's crew aren't you?” Without waiting for an answer he continued, “I brought someone I want Monkey D Luffy to meet.”

Franky and Sanji now noticed too that he was a Marine and got in position to defend Luffy. My crew wanted to do so too, but I signalled for them to stand back. They did so, but only with a worried expression.

The next instant Garp was no longer standing in between the hole he made but has appeared in front of Luffy and given him a punch in the face. “Wake Up!” He was scarily fast, easily faster than Luffy with an active Gear 2.

Luffy howled in pain and the others were confused as to why he did feel pain, to begin with. Well, with others I mean the Straw Hats. My crew knew that it must have been an Armament enhanced punch. But not one overly strong, or Luffy would have been dead.

Garp is known for his strength, he is a living legend on the same height as the Four Emperors, the three Admirals and Sengoku. I personally think that he is a few steps above the Admirals.

Luffy managed to overcome the shock of physical pain and looked wide-eyed at his attacker. “Gr..gramps?” His question left the room in shock. Seems like no one knew that Luffy had family in the World Government.

Garp took his dog styled hat off and crossed his arms. “That is Garp, as in the Hero Garp,” said Nami after recognising him.

“Garp is Luffy's grandfather?”, asked Nojiko from my side.

Luffy must've heard her, as he answered instead of me. “Yeah, don't attack him, you'll only die. He nearly killed me a few times in the past.”

“Humpf, don't say such scandalous things. I merely pushed you over a cliff, threw you into dangerous jungles at night and tied you to balloons so that you could become strong.” Garp said this proudly and with a loud voice as if Luffy has to thank him for all these things.

“I then entrusted him to a friend and he trained with Ace, but as soon as I was away for a moment THIS happened. I trained you to be a strong Marine, not a pirate!” Screamed Garp.

Luffy wasn't to be outdone and screamed back, “I always said I wanna be a pirate!”

“This Red Hair has put stupid ideas into your head!”

“Don't speak bad about Shanks, he saved my life!” It gradually turned into a shouting match between family, that was until Garp grabbed Luffy and raised his fist to hit him again. It practically sizzled with suppressed Haki.

The next moment both have fallen asleep. It would have been hilarious if it wasn't so stupid. Garp woke up, noticed that Luffy was asleep and promptly hit him a few times for his disrespect.

After administrating his love he put Luffy back down and continued his scolding. “Listen do you even know what kind of a guy that Red Haired is?

He is one of the four strongest Pirates in the world. He reigns like an emperor, that is why the World Government has the Seven Warlords. Without us and these seven, the world could be in utter chaos. These four pirates are Emperors for their strength and not without reason. Each has the influence and manpower to wage wars, even against the World Government.”

People like Chopper and the spying Ussop were shocked that there were pirates such as this. The rest of us knew this common thing. Well, Luffy didn't know as well, but he was too stupid to be shocked, he was merely glad that his Shanks was doing well.

Before Garp could continue, he stopped when we all heard loud fighting noises from the outside. Someone informed us that Zoro has come back and was trying to make a path through the Marines.

“Well, try to stop him,” ordered Garp with a slightly sadistic smile. Three male voices from outside answered with a short “”Yes, Sir!“”

Luffy rushed out to stop Zoro from seriously wounding someone, which left us inside a room with someone I knew could defeat everyone present.

And it looks as if Garp finally took notice of my crew and me. Everyone was present, with the exception of Mrs Chicken Wing, she was taking a morning stroll.

“Slicer Lara and her crew, the Kage Pirates. You have made yourself quite a name. And that in a short time as well, you've only been known for as long as Luffy, but your bounty and strength is above his.

Normally I would have taken you into custody by now.” Jonny and Yosaku tensed and their hands were going towards their weapons. Fiara's mechanical arms clacked threateningly and Nojiko looked worried.

“But I'm on vacation, so keep your panties untwisted, Bwhahahaha.”

“By the way, there is someone who wants to see you two too,” he then said and looked at me and Lia. I glanced at my sister and shrugged, before walking through the hole in the house and spotted Luffy and Zoro, both have a Marine in a deadlock position. Corby and Helmeppo if I'm correct.

I was just about to say something when someone with a fairly good soru raced at me. Maybe fast enough to outrun some of the weaker CP9 agents. Anyway, I bitch slapped the person and he crash-landed in a group of Marines.

“Ow, and here I hoped I could at least get the spring on you if I stayed back for a moment,” winced the guy whom I have hit. He was maybe 1.8 metres tall, has brown short spiked hair and lean muscles. They weren't bulky, more for speed. His face still showed the signs of youth. He might be between 17 and 18 I think.

“Hey Lara, long time no seen,” he said after entangling himself from the pile of limps. Do I know him?

“Lia, who's that?” I asked her and pointed at the disappointed looking teenager.

“Dear sister of mine, you know as well as I do that I don't remember unimportant Marine fodder. They just die too quickly and aren't important in any way. I don't even remember the name of the fan using girl I killed on Enies Lobby.” Answered Lia with a sweet smile that made several Marines blush. Until they heard her uncaring and insulting tone regarding Marines.

“Hey, that's not very nice to forget me. I'm Olsy, you know me,” complained the now identified Olsy. Was there someone named Olsy we knew?

“Sis, do we know someone named Olsy?” I asked again, but Lia merely looked as unknowing as I.

“Haha, you were forgotten as well, “ laughed Helmeppo. He swung his arm around the shoulders of Olsy and laughed loudly, while also crying slightly. “I know how that feels bro.”

“Seriously, who are you?” I asked when it became obvious that neither of them would elaborate on their own.

Olsy threw Helmeppo's arm off and patted his chest proudly. “You've saved me from Zeno, a pirate captain in the East Blue. I travelled with you until Loguetown and then enlisted into the Marine Corps.

Garp-sensei picked me up at a later time and since then I have trained with Corby and Helmeppo under him. When Garp-sensei said that he will visit Luffy, right after the Enies Lobby incident, I thought I might be able to see you two again.

I just haven't thought that you two have forgotten me already. Well, I was only a wimp back then,” explained Olsy and I remembered him now.

Lia snapped her fingers the moment she remembered him as well.“Right, there was a weak pitiable boy named Olsy on the old dingy we took for ourselves was there? I would have thought that he has died already. He was just such an easy target that I could easily imagine him dying against some equally weak pirate.”

Olsy, who at first looked glad to have not been completely forgotten, quickly deflated by the onslaught of less than positive descriptions.

“Don't be too hard on him, he may have been the weakest of the weak, but look at him now. Now, now he is only weak,” I lightly scolded Lia and watched with humour how Olsy looked slightly hopeful when I started this promising. Only to crumbled to his knees when I delivered the finishing blow.

What did he expect? He is a Marine and we are amoral pirates. I have used humans for experiments and Lia is killing them for stress relieve. Did he really believe that we would be nice to someone we have met a good year ago and even then only lived alongside for a few brief days without any real interaction?

Helmeppo was patting Olsy's back in hope to comfort him. “Ouch, now even I pity you. At least Zoro wasn't as hard to me,” still, he too couldn't stop from putting a hit in as well. “And they are right, you were even weaker than me.”

For the sake of my own amusement, I didn't point out that Helmeppo is now the weakest. I'm even fairly sure that Olsy is at least as strong, if not stronger than Corby. Wich still leaves him at weak in our eyes, but at least he is strong enough to put up a fight against, maybe, Ussop.

Lia and I left them outside and walked back into the house. Garp was in the middle of repairing the wall he has had destroyed and from the shocked looks on everyone's faces he has just now left out who Luffy's father is.

We sat back down on the table and I grabbed a fried chicken leg, but before I could take a bite Nojiko has opened her mouth to say something.“Lara, can you believe it? This idiot of a pirate is the son of the legendary Dragon,” whispered Nojiko to us.

I nodded, “Sure, isn't so hard. Just think about it. Luffy calls himself Monkey D. Luffy, Garp is Monkey D. Garp and Dragon is also Monkey D. Dragon. They all share the same surname. It's fairly obvious for them to be related.”

She and some who have overheard me looked at me as if I have said something strange before all of them facepalmed. Some muttered about their own stupidity but then were reminded that connecting two such known and powerful people with Luffy was hard. Even now the idiot was poking in his nose.

Then again, Garp was doing the same...

Garp has just finished with the hole in the wall when a massive force renewed the hole and produced a second one on the opposite of the room. This time with a distinctly Garp sized one.

Not for the first time, everyone was shocked. Some even fell down, knocked out from the shock. Oh wait, it wasn't the shock that has knocked them down, but the Conqueror Haki. Mrs Chicken Wing is back from her stroll and in full battle mode.

“BOUGH!” And she is angry.

“Garp!”, translated a quivering Chopper. He, as well as the rest of the Straw Hats and us Kage Pirates, wasn't as affected by the Haki, as we weren't their target. The Marines, however, were barely left standing, if even that.

“Oh shit, why is Batilda here?” Asked Garp from his side of the hole. A second later he had to activate his own Armament Haki and a full tekkai when Mrs Chicken Wing pecked the air in front of her. A piercing force blade flew out of her beak and crashed right into Garp.

He skidded back a few feet and coated his arms in Haki to parry the follow-up wing strike. The force of her attack decimated a building behind Garp, but he was left relatively unharmed.

“Holy shit your bird is crazy,” shouted Luffy in awe and glee. Must be the first time for him to see someone fight his grandfather, where he has to defend as well.

“Bough bough,” clucked Mrs Chicken Wing. Her whole feathery coat was black and showed the white flame pattern of enhanced Armament Haki.

“Where is my husband, Garp?” translated Chopper again dutifully.

“Come Batilda, I don't want to destroy the town. And Sengoku will have my head if I tell you that Herbert is in Impel Down...oh shit.” Garp, who was struggling to evade or parry Mrs Chicken Wing's attacks looked horrified when he let slip out her husband's whereabouts.

Mrs Chicken Wing clucked angrily and kicked him off, before fluttering up and then gliding over to me. I was just about to back away when she increased her speed and landed on my shoulder as if nothing happened at all.

“Eh, leave old human,” came hesitantly from Chopper. We all knew that her words were most likely not that friendly.

“See ya Luffy, I really don't want to fight Batilda now. Corby can stay a little longer to get up to speed with you,” came Garp's increasingly more silent voice. He must be running away from this place.

“Lara, can I have your chicken? She made my gramps flee. That has never happened before,” asked Luffy with an awed and hopeful expression. Mrs Chicken Wing looked haughtily down at him and clucked once.

Chopper translated, even if he was slightly confused by the names she has given us. “Don't think about it worm brain. I'll stay with the Corn Supplier and the Failed Hunter.”

From the corner of my eye, I could see Nami asking her sister a question. “So the bounty on her head was no joke?” She was also trying to stay as far away from Mrs Chicken Wing as possible.

“Well, that was interesting, but I am hungry. Luffy, isn't there a friend out there for you to speak to?” I asked and looked at him for a moment before the rubber brain remembered that he has to share stories with Corby.

“Seems like we have a future destination,” whispered Lia to me, only loud enough for Mrs Chicken Wing and me to understand. The bird on my shoulder nodded thankfully and kept a watchful eye on the Marines, who only now starting to wake up and, more importantly, realise that Garp has ditched them.

Well, seems like we will stay for some weeks until Noa has finished helping with the construction of the Sunny.
