《Lia and Lara will seek the One Piece》Chapter 87, Arc 5

Lara's POV;
The train suddenly lurched forward and we all fell to the floor. Fiara was even thrown away by the sudden increase in speed and she had to hold on to Choppers antlers ´, else she would have crashed into the wall.
We just had managed to stand up, when Paulie, the Franky Family, a guy with a bazooka and another one with two katanas and glasses sat down. They were acting as if they belong, so I shrugged and ignored their conversation.
Instead, I turned to my crew and looked if they were ready. Nojiko was sitting with Nami, speaking silently about how careful they both should be in the following fights.
Jonny and Yosaku were resting, sitting with their back to a wall and meditating. They were preparing themselves mentally for a possibly long and hard fight.
Fiara was rummaging through her backpack. It was almost as large as herself and looked to be filled to the brim with stuff. I hope its mostly explosives.
Noa was listening to Luffy and Zoro, he was slightly nervous. The constant contact with his weapons told was a giveaway. Yet he looked determined and ready to fight.
Mrs Chicken Wing was starring out of the window, deep in her thoughts and possibly the most nervous of us all. If everything goes well then she will have a clue about the whereabouts of her husband.
And finally Jo, he was speaking with Chopper about medical supplies and possible ways to minimise causalities. Which reminded me of something.
I walked over to them and made my presence known by sitting down next to them. Both stopped their talk and looked at me, waiting for me to say what I wanted. “Chopper, as a Zoan Fruit user, do you have any tips for me?”
He looked at me with confusion for a moment, but then seemed to have understood what I meant. “Ah right, you mean how to fight them right? This guy that turned into a leopard. Well, I myself have eaten the Zoan Fruit, Model Human. I was originally a normal reindeer and turned into a humanoid reindeer after eating my fruit.
This guy, Lucci has eaten a Zoan Fruit, Model Cat, Subclass Leopard. He will have characteristics of the leopards. Probably extreme speed, smell, sight and flexibility. But also a heightened endurance that every Zoan user has.
It would be the best to slow him down and stay away from his claws and teeth, those will be extremely sharp. I can't tell you anything about his fighting skills through. Other than that he is strong.”
I nodded once and smiled. It wasn't what I meant, but I appreciated the help he wanted to give. “Thanks, but that wasn't what I meant. I meant my own, the Model Human, Subclass Angel. It's a Mythical Zoan Fruit that turned me into an angel.
So far I have found out that I can heal, have an increase in strength and endurance. I'm also able to feel living things and can influence the emotions of other people. You've given me some of your Rumble-Balls, but I haven't tested them so far.”
“Could you please show me your form? It might help me to think of something.” The rest of the train compartment turned to look at us.
“How is that possible? I thought you already had a Devil Fruit. Luffy said once that you can make things vibrate.” Asked Nami me.
Jo answered for me, his tone resigned and slightly sarcastic. “Our captain decided it was a good idea to eat another one when we found it. She ate it before we could stop her and ever since then she has the ability of two Devil Fruits.”

“”What?!!“” Shouted now the rest of the compartment that was in the unknown. In return, I simply shrugged and activated my Angel Fruit.
My body glowed, I got a halo over my head and white downy feathery wings sprouted from my back. I also began to feel the emotions of the people around me. Disbelieve was prominent. But also worry about the coming fight and determination to win and survive.
“Whoa, what is this feeling. It feels so calm, so self-assured of your own success. As if nothing could even have the hope of shaking my will,” whispered Nami in awe.
“That's how Lara normally feels. Whenever she has her Devil Fruit active we all feel the same she does. We don't know yet what an enemy will feel, but for us, it feels like that.” Explained Nojiko, she then blushed and looked at Lia.
I did so too and smiled. My Lia was as beautiful as always. Her slight smile, full of anticipation for the coming bloodbath. I want to kiss her.
“It changed,” noted Luffy.
“Yeah, that is how she feels about Lia. It happens whenever she sees or thinks about Lia. So far these are the only two emotions we have felt from her,” explained Jo now. He let out the feeling of lust they know from my sex with Lia. Probably a little embarrassed about that.
“That is so awesome!” Gushed Luffy with starry eyes. He was inspecting my wings and even tried to touch them, but I batted his hand away with the wing he wanted to touch. He pouted but understood the message.
Instead, he sat down in front of me and waited for something to happen. Maybe he wants for me to struck a pose? Well, he will be disappointed then.
Chopper finally had enough of inspecting my fruit and came to a first conclusion. “This looks like a normal generic angel. There are stories about them, some tell about immaterial beings with great power. Others describe them as the warriors of Heaven and then there are also a lot of different forms and kinds. The healers, the fighters, those that sing. Seraphs, Death Angels, Love Angels, Archangels.
If I'm correct then you can, with enough training change into any of these forms. My Rumble-Balls will help you with that.”
I nodded again and retracted my wings. They vanished in a white light with some of the feathers falling down to the ground, before vanishing as well. “Yes. I do know, even felt, that there is more to my fruit, however.”
He nodded in agreement, probably has had felt the same. “Whatever your other forms may be, they are certain to be strong. Any other form is specialised in some field and Mythical Devil Fruits are the most mysterious of all Devil Fruits.”
“Great, I might test some out during the coming fighting.” I patted his hat in thanks and climbed out of the compartment, on top of the train.
The wind was harsh and the rain stung, but it felt kinda awesome. The sea was in great tumult and looked like a raging dark monster. And there, out on the horizon was a massive wave. It was towering above every other wave I have ever seen and we were heading directly at it.
It didn't take long and the others climbed on board, they were warned by the small girl with the rabbit-dog-thing. Those with cannons tried to shoot at it, but the explosions weren't doing anything.
Luffy and Zoro got ready to do something, probably attacking it as well. But they were only strong enough to do a little bit at most.

“Fiara, have you tried your lasers yet?” I asked suddenly. The tiny Tontatta girl jumped next to me and choke her head in denial.
“No, I haven't found a place where I can test them. They are most likely too destructive to use in most friendly places.”
“Then please test them on this wave for me, we might need to know how much power you have,” I requested.
She nodded and jumped on the tip of the Rocket Man. The Galley-La and Franky Family guys were still panicking about the wave, but none of my crew or Luffy/Zoro were.
Fiara's robotic arms moved to the front of her body, all of them pointing at the same place. Her new own arms did the same. And then a glow came from the middle of each hand or claw. It grew in intensity until each shot a short beam out.
The orange beam raced towards the wave and hit it. The explosion willed almost our complete view and the heat that was generated instant dried us for a moment, only for us to get soaked again from the down pouring rain.
The blinding light dimmed down and we could see a massive hole inside the giant Aqua Laguna. Fiara's laser had vaporised a large chunk of the wave. It was large enough for a whole ship to sail through. Our train will pass easily, even with the already closing walls.
Stunned silence reigned. Everyone was shocked and wide-eyed, starring at the panting tiny girl. “How is the energy requirement?” I asked. The only one who wasn't showing any shock, with Jo and Lia being the exception. Jo knew about the Pacifista Laser.
“It takes a lot out of me. I may need to rest for half an hour now. Not something I can do in every fight, but I think I can get used to it with training,” she answered with a bright smile. Our tiny Tontatta has shown that she has the firepower to take it up with the strongest and sturdiest things.
A normal Pacifista will lose against her if they both only shoot once. With training, she will be way above them.
“And here I hoped to show some of my awesome power,” lamented Luffy dejectedly. He has had already warmed himself for his move. Zoro, too, did look slightly disappointed. He took his third sword out of his mouth and sheathed all three silently.
The Rocket Man shot through the hole and everyone celebrated our survival of the colossal wave. Fiara jumped back down from the nose of the train and climbed into the train, like the rest of us. There was no need for us to be out any longer.
We came just in time to hear Sanji's voice from a baby transponder-snail that was in Nami's hand.
“Nami told me everything just now. Every single thing...”
Luffy grabbed the snail and squatted down. His face turned serious for a moment and his tone betrayed his normally goofy behaviour. “So you know now. Then go and kick their asses.”
Zoro protested loudly. “Hey Shitty Cook, wait for us. These guys are dangerous!” He was going to say more, but he was stopped by a gesture of Luffy.
“Zoro, forget it. You wouldn't listen if you were in his place.”
Sanji's chuckle came back through the snail. “That's right. It warms my heart to know that Marimo worries, but unfortunately, after hearing about Robin's reasons, I would not stop. I will save her, no matter what!”
Suddenly a loud static sound came through the snail and then our own signalled that the connection was cut. “Did he just now destroy the only thing that connects us to him?” I asked with a light laugh.
Nami got a tick mark over her right eye but sighed ultimately. Raging about this won't bring anything, so instead, she stood up and promptly began to change clothes. She wasn't caring about her male audience but refrained from taking off her underwear.
She must have become insensible to such sings during her stay with so many men on a ship. It did not stop Nojiko, however, to hit every male who dared to look for more than a thousandth second.
They all sported black eyes and a bloody nose when Nami has finished changing.
Luffy and Zoro have done the same, but none did give them a single fuck, with the exception of Nojiko. She was almost drooling at Zoro's sight. But her duty as a sister ranked higher than her lust.
“Well then, ready for battle!” Declared Nami the moment she was finished and held her new Clima-Tact. I tried to ignore the ruckus that followed. Seems like the outside was still better than the inside. I may be wet and cold, but that's nothing I couldn't make go away with my vibration power.
So I grabbed Lia and we both jumped back out. There I put her down in my lap and we kept watch for anything strange. Which came a good half an hour later. “There are two compartments on the track. We will crash into them if nothing is done”, warned Lia me.
Someone from the inside must've heard it as well, cause soon a few of them climbed out. With them were Luffy and Zoro. One of Franky's Family had a spying glass integrated into his glasses, so he could see the compartments.
“Yeah, she is right, there are two compartments standing on the track.” He agreed after a moment of adjusting his glasses. Then he screamed in fear of a possible collision. Before settling down again. “We just have to dismantle it in an instant.” I almost facepalmed at that.
“Maybe Sanji is inside,” suggested Luffy. He was already stretching his arms to jump over but was stopped with Lia's next words.
“No, there are only World Government agents and Marines inside.”
“Okay, then cut it Zoro,” ordered Luffy. Zoro grinned and mumbled something, before drawing his swords and cutting down. It wasn't a force blade, but the cut was longer than what a normal one could have been.
It was a neat and clean cut through both compartments. Much to the shock of most present people.
Their shock was short lived. The Marines and agents were falling into the water and most likely drown in this turbulent water.
Our own train carried on as if nothing happened. “There is someone running on the tracks, “ said Lia suddenly. She had already taken out one of her pebbles but then put them back into her pouch. “I might hit the tracks, my position is not really preferable,” she then explained with a disappointed look.
“O fuck, it's Ship Butcher T-Bone. A captain of the Marines HQ that can cut a pirate ship in half with a single attack!” Warned us the same guy who had the spying glass in his glasses.
“I'll take him, he is strong”, announced Zoro. I shrugged in response. A captain is weak, Yosaku or Jonny might want to do it, but they staid inside the compartment.
“I only say this once, get out of the way or get cut down!” Shouted Zoro over to the now ready Marine captain. He shouted back that it was his duty to protect innocent citizens from pirates. And that justice would be upheld in his name.
Zoro jumped off the train and at the Marine, who in return send a rather weak force blade at Zoro. Still, his force blade was not a direct line but rather moved in a zigzag line. Zoro evaded all of them and cut through the sword and then the Marine.
He got thrown off the track and into the water. He too will most likely drown.
Again most of them get back into the compartment, but Lia and I staid outside. It was too noisy there. Some time together with my Lia was way better. “There is a giant frog on the track”, said Lia suddenly. I looked up and indeed there was one standing on the rails.
It quacked at us and then hit the train off of the track. Our train flew into the water and drove off, away from the Franky Family and towards nothing.
The ruckus brought the others out again and Luffy had a heated argument with the frog. I don't know if he is able to understand the animal, or just pretends to. But they were almost starting a fight when the drunken fat woman told the frog that we weren't her kidnappers, but on our way to save Franky.
The frog changed its behaviour instantly and seems to be now a part of our fighting force. Strange animal, but who am I to judge.
And thanks to Nami we were also able to get back on course. We even managed to catch up to the Franky Family again. They had a hearted reunion with Sanji and each other. One that we skipped by staying outside.
However, what was way more important was the thing on the horizon. It was an island that seemed to fly over a large hole inside the sea. A cloudless sky was over the island, even with the sea still raging on around it.
We have reached Enies Lobby.

Twisted Skies
After his master's death, Thurain leaves his rural home behind and travels to Heliana, the cramped city founded on the scientific progress of cultivation. Under a fake name, he aims to enter the Elemental Path Sect, the place of his master's death, to find both his killers, and closure. However, surrounded by the strange and horrible wonders of Heliana and its mixture of heroes and villains, his master's death is not the only murder he may have to solve. --- First attempt at a xianxia novel from me. To shake things up from the usual formula, the setting is more steam-punk than you might expect, and there are elements of murder mystery mixed in with the standard formula (though I'm not entirely sure yet how far to go with it.) I wrote this a while ago for NaNoWriMo, only posting it now for various reasons. Enjoy. Also, cover is highly temporary. I'll probably replace it with something nicer eventually.
