《Artisan》Arc 1: Any Port in a Storm part 2

Justin was getting a little tired of waking up to darkness, this time however, things were very different. Each thought seemed sluggish, and Justin winced as his mind protested waking by gamely attempting to kill him. Who knew AIs could get headaches. He was also aware of no longer being contained within a shell, which was probably very not-good, maybe.
Pushing through the pain and disorientation, Justin tried to review his situation.
Point one, he was no longer receiving a sensor feed. The last thing he remembered was crashing into a lake, and since he was pretty sure KIP couldn't swim, he decided to add that to the top of the Cons column, pending further review.
Point two, the mental shell that that had been around him was now broken and fragmented, drifting around his tattered essence. He pencilled that into the Cons.
Point three, he felt like crap, and his energy kept trying to float off into the void instead of helping him figure out what to do next.
Point four, he was sure he also remembered 'seeing' a couple of blue panes before crashing into the water. They'd presented themselves mentally, like the character details he'd reviewed with Janus. He concentrated on the memory, and the notification panels returned with very little prompting.
According to the notifications he'd received, the shell around him had been structured code, and was probably the 'armour' that had saved him on impact. Given that one of the fragments had also connected him to the pod's sensors, he began to wonder if the shell hadn't been the AI equivalent of an exo-suit.
As the notifications faded away, a new panel appeared.

Son of a.... Ok, imminent demise was certainly motivation to get moving.
Still feeling sluggish and in pain, he called up his character sheet to check his status.

Mentally crippled?! Goddamit.
At least it looked like his Integrity was slowly rising, but it would take just under a thousand minutes, or roughly 17 hours to get back up to full.
Successful Skill Use +4 xp to Mathematics - Novice Level 1 [00%].
He concentrated on muting the notifications for now, he had too much else to focus on. And while he was at it, he tried to add an awareness of his Integrity and Focus levels to the back of his mind.

He became aware of them as coloured percentile bars. Green to red for Integrity (currently an angry red), and a blue bar to track his Focus, which seemed to be in a state of flux, rising and falling as something drained it away into the void. He followed the trail to one of the shell fragments, and watched as it absorbed the Focus, realising it was putting itself back together somehow.
He studied the code fragment as it re-built itself, generating runic code from within to patch the missing, or damaged sections.
A few seconds later, seemingly done with its repairs, Justin's Focus bar stopped falling and began to climb at a steady rate. He continued to watch, fascinated as the fragment spun a small code packet outside itself before launching it into Justin's essence. He tried to rear back, worried that it was some sort of attack, but the packet unravelled, dispersing into his mind, "External Repair Algorithm has completed self-repair and is now operational. External feeds lost, last received feed from escape pod systems indicates possible core failure, repairs currently impossible. Awaiting updated orders." It said in KIP's voice.
Huh, Justin thought, now that he had somewhere to direct questions, he really needed to figure out how to ask them.
After quickly inspecting the other fragments for signs of life, he'd settled in and spent the last few minutes attempting to replicate the code packet spun by ERA. He was happy enough with his current attempt, and so began to pick it apart, trying to puzzle out how it worked.
Another few minutes, and he was fairly sure which sections controlled the operation, keeping the message intact until it reached its goal. In fact, it was much easier to figure out than it had any right to be. The information finding a place in Justin's mind like he had been prepared and was waiting for it to arrive.
He compiled a single worded message and gave it a push towards ERA, "Options?"
A reply came quickly. "Pod repair is currently impossible without outside assistance. Suggest emergency repairs to internal communications port".
Sounds good, "Where is internal communications port?"
"Request unclear."
I swear I'm going to kill someone.

My Disciples Are All Villains
Lu Zhou wakes up to become the world’s most powerful and oldest villainous Patriarch, and finds that he has nine notorious disciples who are full of evil. His eldest disciple is the leader of the Nether Sect with thousands of minions, and his second disciple—Sword Devil—always slaughters others at the slightest disagreement… Without his cultivation base, how will he handle these evil disciples? His eldest disciple, Yu Zhenghai, said, “I’ve never had a rival in my life, and no one but Master can make me bow my head.” His seventh disciple, Si Wuya, said, “We can’t eat or sleep in peace as long as the Master is not dead!” … His ninth disciple, Yuan’er, said, “I’ll remember what Master said and be a good person.”
8 216Scavenger
Only the ruins of vast mega-cities remain of the old world after everything went down the drain… Well several times at that, but who cares? It’s what is left behind that is important - secrets, wealth, knowledge, technologies, food and the occasional pack of mutants. No, Grey is a wanted man, for being the only one who has entered Sector 7 and come out to tell about it. In other words, nothing that out of the usual day to day life of a Scavenger. But when two of them got swapped with each other unexpectedly, it creates a story that pulls them away from their troubles, and saving them at the same time. "What does a paramedic mean to you?A Lifesaver? A Firefighter? My answer to this is : a person who pulls you away from an accident, and try to patch you up, or supports you until a doctor takes over."- Jackie Man *Please be aware of slight violence and blood in some chapters*
8 180Generic Zombie survival Wuxia Cliche story
Same old same old. Zombies attack. Zombies Evolve. Humans evolve. Humans gain superpowers. No deep plot, no plot planned out at all actually. Writing it as I go and because I'm a sad boi trying to use stories as a form of escapism. Not going to proofread, not going to check for grammar or anything. Will definitely read like a machine-translated Chinese amateur web novel. Have a nice day. (The cover is from one punch man, no this is not a fanfic) (I don't actually plan/think anything in this will be too gory or "traumatizing" but since its a zombie survival story I thought I might as well add it, plus the fact that the MC does some pretty messed up stuff. He's the stereotype Wuxia villain so to speak, expect competently and not dumbed down to make the hero look smart.) I will add warnings in author notes before chapter starts if anything particularly "gory" or trigger events happen.
8 200Liber Nominum Universalia
In this world there are things and beings who roam freely in the corners of our visions and places where the light of the sun and moon do not reach. There are things that raindrops have never touched, lands where humans may rarely set foot. And there are those whose names have been forgotten. Maeno Ayumu wanted to be one of the majority who lived without the knowledge of such things. But one summer, a pocketbook and a black cat opened the doors to the Other Side- doors he could no longer keep locked. And thus begins his journey towards learning forgotten names and forging unlikely bonds, so that those who live in darkness may never fade forgotten. Cover picture taken by Julissa Helmuth
8 73Grey [HIATUS]
I was originally fueled by anger and disdain to write this and looking back, most of what I wrote for this story was unplanned and a bit trashy. I kinda stopped having ideas for this, so I stopped in the end. If you're looking at this right now, you probably shouldn't read this because it's only 12 crappy chapters in and yeah... Sorry to the people who might've liked this. (Maybe one day I'll continue this, but for now, I have other plans) Grey, a prince, is unsure about what to do when he starts running away from an enemy beast tamer. He's unsure on what to do now that his father, the king, is dead. In the forest alone, he'll discover a small companion and a rogue. Together will they figure a way to take back Grey's kingdom? Or will they just die in vain? Let's be honest here, most of you probably like the fox aspect of the story the most. (BTW the cover design is made by me. Terrible, I know) I'm kind of done with writing bs descriptions that I might change in the future, plus I'm not very good with being thoughtful with quotes and stuff like that. I just write what pops into my mind, which is usually stupid things. So the description may or may not be accurate so I've changed it to being very vague.
