I get that this book and Royal Road might not be the best fit (and I tried to let everyone know that it wasn't going to be action heavy in the synopsis).
Mostly, it was an experiment for me. Most of my earlier works focused a little too much on action for me and I wanted to practice characterization, multiple POVs and dialogue. That said, I did grow to like the characters and now I'm at a bit of a crossroads.
I'm writing another work that's more of a traditional 'web novel' (well more of a combination deconstrcution/homage to the LitRPG genre). I've been posting that here for the last week or so at https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/28691/viceroys-pride
I do also have my Nanowrimo 2018 book which is more action heavy and science fiction but the editing is a bit rough. It also ended on an open note so it would be possible for me to keep running with it after I finish editing and posting it.
Finally, as I finished editing this book to put it up here, I've come out with the rough outline for a follow up (tentatively titled 'Deceiver's Game').
At this point, I'd be interested in hearing from the two dozen or so of you that have stuck with me through this (fairly short) journey as to what they want to read next.
