《Infamous》Don't know how to say this

...Why did I make this?
It's not a rhetorical question, I actually asked myself this question quite a few times yesterday (thank you all for the birthday wishes, they were very kind).
I couldn't actually remember my reason for wanting to write this crossover. It certainly doesn't make sense from... any perspective, really. DGI and Floofer are polar opposites, in much the same way as Infamous and Dungeon Child. Selecting those characters and tossing them at each other like toys wouldn't have worked even if Tolkien was at the wheel (an exaggeration, obviously).
So why did I write the crossover?
I decide to go back and reread the chapter I'd put up, a chapter which I wrote two weeks ago. And I came to a simple conclusion; that the crossover wasn't intended to be serious. I'd put very little actual effort into it.
I should clarify, it's not that I don't think the chapter was terrible. Some of you liked it, which was a nice feeling, but the fact remains that this is nowhere near the grade I normally write at. It was written in a hurry with almost no basis behind it except 'hey, my birthday's coming up; my readers might think this is cool'. And... well, it really wasn't.
So... here's the deal.
I'm going to upload the second chapter just because I already wrote it and there's no reason not to. Some of you would enjoy it in much the same way one enjoys cotton candy. But I'm not going to continue it past that, because it's, creatively speaking, an abomination to my writing style and values (seriously, what the heck was I on when I wrote this!?)
I've been working on a little story just to relax, and it seems to be going pretty well. If you'd like me to start uploading that then I guess it could serve as an apology of sorts, but I really don't know when it'd be ready for RoyalRoad. Anyway, thanks a lot for reading this sprawl of a ramble.
See ya later, spiders.

P.S. Wait a minute, I could upload this story for the Writathon. Might do that too.

Splintered Worlds
Fantasy and SF meet in this unique portal novel. Five unique kingdoms are locked in a war quite unlike any other. But it is in the Kingdom of the Stone God that Aelia lives: a not-so-special girl who is desperate to be accepted by the Mage Academy. But if she's nothing special, why are such strange things happening to her? Like the distant voices she hears that are telling absurdities about reality. Like the details she's starting to notice that no one else seems to. Like how quickly she's able to learn and improve. Could Aelia have been born for a greater purpose -- a purpose she's somehow forgotten? Splintered Worlds combines portal fantasy with a unique fantasy setting.
