《Lost In Translation》End of Book 1 Update!
Hello! So first of all, I'd like to say thank you to everyone who read until the end of book 1. Honestly, I'm very surprised that the feedback was a lot less negative than I first expected, considering that I am aware of the many flaws my first book has. I apologize to anyone who was disappointed or left empty after reading the ending, but I really did write what I thought was best.
If you'll stick around for book 2 to find out how I'll redeem the story from the low point I've ended it on, I'll appreciate it. I promise the story doesn't just toss out everything I've build up over book 1 for some kind of reboot.
Anyway, I'll get on to the main purpose of the update!
So as you all know, book 1 has many issues that spring up during a first draft. Especially for a story like mine, which was written by a pantser like me. Naturally, I plan to edit the story for publishing on KU and aim to fix all these mistakes. There's no issue with posting the edited version here before the KU release, so I've left it in a poll above. Should I repost the edited chapters on RR once they've been polished? Or would you guys prefer I leave the RR version untouched until book 2 is ready for release?
I'm asking because I know some of you don't want to reread the whole thing even when edited, so if the votes slant towards the negative, I'll just leave the edited version up for free on my Discord server until it releases on KU. Either way, it will be available for free somewhere for those who want it. I just want to ask if I should post it on RR.

Now with that out of the way, I'd like to talk about my plans and schedule from here on.
For the next 1-2 months, I will mostly be working on editing LIT book 1, preparing for book 2, and writing my second project. This will serve as a refresher period for me and a way to dodge burnout by working on something new. I'll be leaving updates on my Discord server and will be active there to answer any questions or to just talk, but I'll mostly leave RR alone for that period of time. So please come to my Discord if you've got anything to ask! I might not see your comments on RR during that time.
Anyway, that's about it.
New story will be out by October, LIT book 2 will ideally be out by the end of October/start of November, and book 1 will be published around the start of 2022. Thank you for sticking with the story until the first book's rather depressing ending. I hope I'll be able to make up for it with my coming book 1 edits and plans for book 2. It's only uphill from here! Hopefully.
See you soon!
Edit: Added a third option because I forgot I could do that lol. And for people asking for the Discord invite, it's on the story synopsis. Or you can also just click on the link I'll leave on the author's note below.

Lose Myself
WAS #2 in Romance. -- He's got a secret, she's got a secret. But is it the same secret? Amara Ackerman is an interior designer who just wants to live her life, she doesn't want to get married and she doesn't need a boyfriend. To her it's just better if everyone kept their distance, pulling people in was never her style. Dominic Vitiello is just the average rich, handsome guy with tons of connections and plenty of places to be. When he takes the time out to persue her, he discovers something unexpected and it's far from disappointing. The two cross paths in the most convinient way, how does their relationship go from being strictly work to strictly personal? Neither of them can say, but I can say it's a pretty interesting story.
