The Darkwoods

Long suspected of being a place of great darkness and evil, more modern citizens of the Kingdoms of Mattergrove and Deepmarsh--the two nations whose borders encompass parts of the foreboding forest--have begun to look past ancient superstitions to eye the large wood’s natural resources.

Plentiful trees, rare indiginous plants, and a fauna that is found nowhere else on Dirt make the Darkwoods an area rife with interesting and potent reagents for alchemists and materials for crafters.

These same materials are not so easy to harvest though. From the wily sombral, to the horrifying abominations, to the powerful and cunning dryads and pixies, the Darkwoods are as dangerous as they are beautiful.
