《Alamat (Legend)》Act 2: Beginning of a Journey; chapter 34: The Suite Life of Ella and Kayla 2

Apparently, not everyone is qualified for the “immersion” and only people with talents or untapped potential are reported and brought to the higher ups. If this were not the case, everyone in their organization could have at least experienced a short-lived “rich life”, and this could have been used as a method to attract more members.
“Okay, Kayla will be there for about some time. Check out the menu there and call room service to order food for us for dinner. Order as many foods as you like.” Ka Ricky said to Ella, to which the young woman immediately followed. The food arrived after an hour, and almost at the same time, Kayla stepped out of the bathroom. She greeted Ka Ricky in a casual manner and flashed a meaningful smile at Ella, to which Ka Ricky did not seem to notice. The trio then ate dinner, Kayla and Ka Ricky were conversing about the sights and destinations in Cagayan de Oro, while Ella just listened.
The following day after breakfast, Ka Ricky told the two girls to go out and shop for their clothes and buy other things they needed and wanted.
“These envelopes contain the money you will need for your shopping. Buy what is necessary first, and if you have some leftovers, you can use them however you want.” Ka Ricky instructed them while handing an envelope each to Ella and Kayla.
“What do we need to buy?” Ella asked.
“You need to buy around five sets of formal clothes, at least two formal shoes, and bags to go with your attire. You also need to buy new phones, some jewelry if you want, and some make-up, and other things you may need. Remember that during the immersion, you will be working in an office setting, so make sure that you have the necessary clothes and items for that.” Ka Ricky answered.

“This is a lot!” After listening to Ka Ricky, Kayla opened the envelope given to her and saw the thick bundle of money inside it. “There is at least fifty thousand pesos in here!” She added.
“Whatever is left is truly ours to spend?” Ella too was shocked with the amount inside the envelope upon hearing Kayla’s words.
“Of course, however, I would advise you not to cheap out on your attires, for you will be using those for a long time.” Ka Ricky answered.
The two immediately prepared and headed out of the hotel in the next hour. They spent the whole day shopping for clothes, shoes, and bags. Most of the items they bought were branded, with the most expensive item costing them almost ten thousand pesos. It was a luxury brand handbag that is perfect for gala nights as well as corporate use. Kayla was the one who insisted on buying it, enamored by its design and sleek look, while Ella, although a bit reluctant, was also tempted, and bought a different design.
It was almost nighttime when they returned to the hotel. They were hauling a total of ten bags each person, an amusing sight to look at. Even though they went on a shopping spree that day, the two of them still had around ten thousand pesos each as leftover. The two were clearly in high spirits.
Ka Ricky on the other hand was gob smacked at how expensive the items the two bought, especially that one bag they each bought which costs almost ten thousand pesos! While it is true that he told them not to cheap out on the items, he did not mean for them to spend that much on a single item either. He remembered his time when he too, was told to go shopping, was given money that has almost the same value of what he gave the two women now. By the end of his shopping spree, he still had about half of the money he was given, while the two women almost spent all their money.

“Each of us still have around ten thousand pesos leftover from the money you gave us. We’re good right?” Kayla declared proudly, while Ella was nodding and was feeling quite proud of herself as well.
“It was me who made our shopping be on the cheaper side!” Ella added.
“Yes! If it were not for Ella spotting that sale, we may have spent all the money you gave us!” Kayla supported Ella’s statement.
Ka Ricky, upon hearing the two almost spat the water he just drank.
“Eighty thousand on all these is cheap for the two of you?!” Ka Ricky shouted in his mind. He felt like he might have a heart attack.
“G-good! Very good! Good thing there was that sale, huh?” Was all what Ka Ricky could say.
“Ehem! Anyway, you can use the leftover money for your other personal needs and errands. In two days, the representative of the higher ups will come here to pick us up, be sure to treat the representative with respect.” Ka Ricky reminded the two of them.
The two women nodded their heads. The next two days were spent mostly inside of their hotel room, only Ka Ricky would go out in the morning and would sometimes return around lunch time or late in the afternoon.
Kayla on the other hand did not let go of the opportunity to make her advances on Ella. During the time that Ka Ricky would go out, she would sometimes tease Ella about doing something “together” especially in the shower, to which Ella would mostly ignore. The latter’s non-reaction to the former’s advances caused Kayla to feel a little frustrated. However, she just shrugged her shoulder and would continue with her teasing.

GLADIUS // Eret X Reader
PHANTASM SERIES BOOK 4---Gladius, (noun): (in ancient Rome) a short sword.---Eret perked up as soon as you and Simon walked into the room, a wide and welcoming smile coming onto his face. He was softer looking than his father had been, but you could still see some of the similar traits. He had a head of thick dark curls, and the same sharp jaw that his father had had. He wasn't as bulky though - he was tall and thin - and his face was a lot more open. What separated him most from his father's likeness though was the colorful cape, and the large mirrored glasses he wore - swirling with colors reflected from the room. He stood from his seat when Maven let the doors swing shut behind her, that wide smile still on his face. "You must be the embassy.""And you must be King Eret." You said, stooping into a bow. "Oh, there's no need for that." Eret said as you rose from your bow. He stepped down from the dias where his throne sat - colorful cape trailing behind him - and came to stand in front of you, taking your hand instead. "I'm not really one for formalities." He grinned, shaking your hand. His palm was warm against yours, and you could feel some slight callouses - most likely from practicing his sword work.
