“By the way lola, what was that creature? Was that an aswang?” Asked Lumawig.
“Yes. That was an aswang called a Tiktik.” Affirmed the old woman.
“A Tiktik? What is that?” Mawi asked.
“A Tiktik is an aswang known for the sound it makes and its ability to shapeshift. Most of the time, they take the form of a large bird that looks like a crow.” Lola Yma briefly explained.
“A shape shifting monster?” Mawi was surprised upon hearing the old woman’s explanation.
“Haaays. Let us go back first. It seems that we need to put off your initiation for now and try again tomorrow.” Lola Yma sighed and stood up, then she turned around and started to make her way out of the forest with Mawi following closely behind her.
The duo encountered no problem when they were making their way out of the forest, and it was still dark when they returned home. Sabel was still soundly sleeping, however, Lola Yma and Mawi were no longer sleepy, so they stayed outside the house and continued their conversation.
“Lola, can you tell me more about the Tiktik? Are there more of these creatures out there?” Mawi sat down on the ground, while Lola Yma sat on a chair. Painting a picture of a young innocent boy wanting to hear his lola’s stories about the supernatural.
“You seem interested in them?” Lola Yma was surprised upon hearing Mawi’s words.
“Of course, I am interested, lola. Since I have decided to pursue this path of being a babaylan, I need to know more about these things, especially if it concerns my life. I need to know what I am dealing with.” Although Mawi said these words in a bashful manner, he could feel that deep in his heart that there is a great urge for him to know about these spirits and creatures.

“Haaays. Okay. I will tell you everything I know about these creatures. However, I am telling you these things so as you may understand them better, and not go out there and start hunting them.” Lola Yma agreed to Mawi’s request, but at the same time she gave her a stern warning.
“I understand, lola.” Mawi acknowledged the old woman’s words.
“Okay, listen well, then. First let me talk to you about the spirit known as ‘Kapre’. All kapres are male; these spirits dwell in great trees like the Molave, Balete, and Narra. They are neither evil nor good but are capricious creatures. They are susceptible to their mood changes, and how they act are based on how strong their feelings are. In normal circumstances, they will not initiate contact with humans unless they have been offended or are acting on their lust.” Lola Yma began telling Mawi about the spirits he encountered a few days ago, and she explained their nature to him.
“Acting on their lust?” Mawi asked, curious about this distinct behavior of the spirit.
“Yes, lust. As I have said earlier, all Kapre are male. While they are not evil, once their lust takes over them, they will do anything so long as they can satiate their lust. In most cases, they are known to abduct young women, even little girls once they found them attractive.”
“How do they abduct their victims?” Asked the young man.
“They will show themselves to them in two ways: they can make themselves appear as a handsome young man and make the girl they fancy become smitten to them. Once the girl falls in-love with their human form, the kapre would then take them to their tree dwelling, and they will no longer be seen. So, when you see a woman acting unusual, there is a good chance that that spirit is acting on her. The second method is a more direct approach. They show their true selves to the woman they fancy, either through a dream or by directly manifesting in front of them and forcefully bring the woman away. As they are spirits, regardless of the method they use, only the person they willed themselves to appear on will be able to see them. And the ‘abduction’ is by pulling out the woman’s soul.” The old woman explained in great detail.

“If you offended them, it is quite easy to resolve as you can initiate a ritual of sacrifice to appease them. However, it is more difficult to get back the souls of the person they fancied.” Lola Yma cautioned.
“If that is the case, how can you get their souls back?” Mawi was somehow alarmed at learning the behavior of the spirit.
“If they are reasonable, then everything can be settled by talking to them and making compromises. However, if they are stubborn, that is when a babaylan like us must step in. We must mediate between the humans and the spirits, and there will be times that we will have to fight against these spirits. That is why it is important for us babaylans to have a powerful dungan.” Lola Yma answered Mawi’s inquiry.
“Do you know what a dungan is, Mawi?” The old woman inquired.
“I think it has something to do with the soul. But it is a vague concept that can be equated to will, aura or presence. It also signifies a person’s soul strength. Huh? Why do I know about this?” Mawi answered.

Please note: the Sexual Content tag is there due to a single brief plot-relevant scene, which has a warning at the beginning. For other details, read the full description below. Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 5 x 5*, 2 x 4.5*, 1 x 0.5* During a blackout, a frail and ragged old woman stops to ask for a glass of water from a backyard barbecue party. Given a good supper instead, she looks around the group, and tells them, "Be who and what you truly are." Days later, seven of the people from the barbecue find themselves drawn into a trap laid by a pair of wizards and their accomplices, who kidnap them into a bubble reality. All seven, who have known each other all their lives, are informed that they are not in fact entirely human: they have active fae blood, due to a series of conditions culminating with the blessing of the elderly fae woman. The transformation into fae form comes as a shock: all seven, whether originally female or male, find themselves now unreasonably beautiful women. More urgent even than that, though, is their captivity. Getting back to the real world is a higher priority than this metamorphosis that rapidly begins to feel natural... but this is only the first step, as the diverse types of fae blood they carry begin to surface. With no resources except themselves, how can they escape this prison? If they succeed, how can they possibly reclaim their lives? Just how many other faelings have been kidnapped, anyway, and what happened to them? And is there a way to make sure that their captors never put anyone else through this? Back in the real world, Kayla, who learned long ago to trust her gut instincts, is absolutely certain that something is very wrong. The pattern in the list of missing friends is easy to spot, but makes no sense at all. Then a young woman turns up at the backyard gate who knows more than she should, and even though her explanation makes even less sense, every instinct tells Kayla that Riley is her only way to get them back. If they're not quite what they were, well, that's a bridge to cross later... Just a little note: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature. If I need to warn you about gender in this being all over the map, some of it reality-based rather than fantasy-based, highly diverse sexuality, or that there is (especially later) some indirect fetish/BDSM imagery and honest character discussion, then you probably should just avoid everything I write. :-) Also available on Scribble Hub.

Isekai'd slave
Edward, a regular guy, is transported to another world at the wrong time and place. Slowly, he adapts, paves his way, and faces whatever misfortune awaits. This is my first work. I'm mostly messing around with different themes/characters. The first few chapters are pretty inconsistent, containing most of the rough experimentation, but if you can get past them - I'm sure you'll have a much nicer time. Do not expect anything of notable quality; however, any advice/criticism/suggestions are greatly appreciated. The story won't involve any dark themes, so no excessive violence, rape, etc. Discord

Ari-os
Ari-os is a story about a 21-year-old woman who woke up in an abandoned lab with little to no memories of her past. Turns out she is in the future now and the world became a very different place from what it used to be. Magic appeared in the world, changing it forever, and humanity created a way to control it, allowing people to increase their physical and mental abilities while shaping the world according to their will, but something caused civilization to regress, becoming a mere shadow of what it used to be. In her journey to figure out who she was, what happened to the world, and how much time has passed, Kali will discover ancient ruins, fight horrendous creatures, find how humanity has fared in this harsh world and meet with droids that walk the land as remnants from the technology that the world once had. In this story, you are going to see Litrpg elements such as a system with panels, skills, and stats (Although not inside a game, the main character has access to information about her growth much like an RPG). Survival elements will be present but it won't be the focus of the story, but crafting and enchanting on the other hand are going to be quite prevalent. Please, do let me know what you think in a comment or review, all criticisms are welcome. Also, English is not my native language so if you see any grammar mistakes, do tell me :) Chapters of ~2700 words each.
