“What happened here?”

“Assassins, unknown origin. I recommend you get down.”

“To involve innocent children in this...” Yohnas gritted his teeth. “Moawsi.”

A thin blue rectangle appeared in front of his eyes. Of course, this probably stood out to the assassins. It glowed slightly, but against the darkness of the night? The magic acted as a repellent.

“Four men. One died recently,” the teacher reported. “Was it you?”

“So that Moawsi lets you see the number of mana signatures, but not the details of it. Yes, I killed him. You gonna give chase?”

“I won’t forgive anyone that endangers my children.”

“Different motives, same goals. Are you long ranged or melee?”

“Melee. Give me suppressive fire.”

“You got it.”

With the grace of a superhero, Yohnas jumped out the window. They continued their fight, and Frances turned on her side to face the open window. It wasn’t like she could do anything, anyway.

“Ahem. Are you two still awake?”

“My Lord, are you alright?”

“If it's about the assassins, then I’m afraid you’re too late, sis.”

“Is that a good thing or a bad thing?”

“Well you can’t see us, but I’ve cut off at least 3 hands tonight.”

Frances laughed. She tried her best to sit up, but the aching in her body forced her back down. But still she tried.

“Got any information about them?”

“Depends, you got time for a family history lesson?” Estelle answered.

“Well, I literally just orgasmed and now my whole body’s not in a condition to move.”

“Haha! To be sleeping around, even with assassins going about. Well, from what I know, this is a group of assassins belonging to a relative of ours. You wouldn’t know him though, we all agreed to not speak about him.”

“You say sleeping around, but it was Hye-Sung. So what’s his relationship with us?”

“Uncle. I believe he has a daughter too, but we’ve already cut ties with him. I completely forgot that he existed before today too.”

“What? Why?”

“Father killed him, or at least we think. It's possible that father failed to finish him off.”

“And why is he attacking us?”

“Dunno. Probably something political.”

“Got it. What’s an identifying symbol? Or M.O?”

“You know the ouroborus? Instead of a snake, it's a wolf.”

“Alright. Thanks. Stay safe, sisters. And you too, Katalina.”

By then, her body had recovered somewhat. She regained enough strength to stand up. Hye-Sung continued the firefight, though it barely lasted. The mage let out a long whistle.

“Did he get them?”

“For a teacher, he’s surprisingly brutal.”

Frances dragged herself to the window, sidestepping the broken glass. The cold wind slapped her naked body, stripped of the protection provided by the runes. It bit her skin.

“Do you think we need to kill him?” Frances asked.

“What? Why?”

“Well, the fact that he saw not just me, but you too, naked is troublesome.”

She dressed herself in a loose nightgown. Vaguely translucent, just see through enough that when viewed at the right angle with the correct lighting, the outline of her body was clear. Frances sweeped the shards of glass away with a small broom. She took her position next to Hye-Sung.

On the ground, Yohnas dragged several bodies towards a tree. He turned, and with a glare in his eye, motioned for the two of them to come down. Three shallow troughs.

Down on the ground, Yohnas already tied the few of them to the thick trunk of the tree. Their arms and legs bent in unnatural angles. There was an occasional bit of bone sticking out.

“Explain yourselves. Why are there people coming after you.”

“I’m afrai-” Hye-Sung began.

“There’s a simple reason for it. Are you aware of the Rayleighs?”

“Descendents of dragons.” Yohnas’ eyes narrowed.

“Exactly right. I am one of those Rayleighs, but much more than that, I am the exotic half-blood.”

“I’ve heard rumours about that. With an inhuman mana signature, next to no natural mana nor resistance...”

Frances nodded with affirmation. The teacher furrowed his brow, but said nothing of it. He turned his attention back to the captured men.

“What do you want to do with them?” Yohans poked them with a stick.

“Hye-Sung, you decide. Mr Yohnas, if you need live subjects, feel free to take them. I’m heading back.”

“What are you going to do from now, half-blood?” Yohnas stood up with his words.

He looked like a man rudely woken up a few minutes ago. Did he take out his frustration on those poor assassins? Still, he was amazing. To fight so well in a loose dressing gown, and without any shoes.

His lips were tight. There were various cracks on those red lips of his, undoubtedly painful. Was there no magic for that?

“As for me, I’m going back to sleep it off. I’ll also need to contact people. Speaking of which, are you still going to shelter us here?”

“I aim to be a good father figure to the children. I will not send you two away simply because of the circumstances of your birth.”

“Well said, Professor Yohnas.” Hye-Sung nodded. “And by the way, could I please ask you to give the half-blood here a crash course in magic? She’s rather stupid, you see.”

Frances rolled her eyes. It didn’t help that Hye-Sung just drugged her earlier. Her legs quivered as she made her way back to the atelier. Even so, the throbbing from inside didn’t stop.

Transformation magic truly was amazing. Nearly half of her body changed. But perhaps because it was that amazing, there were only a few available. And even then, as the doctor explained, it was an expensive process. Only the rich, or those with a powerful sponsor, had the ability to transition. Even in this alternate world, such procedures were costly. She lost several parts, but the organs she gained was, in her opinion, worth every sacrifice. Compared to her previous world, there were no such options like top and bottom surgery. The doctor didn’t elaborate further, however, but there was only a single package. A womb, natural breasts, hips, everything was included. There was no way to opt out.

“By the way, you’re rather gentle, Hye-Sung.”

“What do you mean?”

“I mean, the two other people I’ve been with like to hit me.”

“Alright, we’re gonna need another talk after this.”

Frances rolled her eyes. She didn’t need anyone to tell her how her relationships were supposed to be. Dysfunctionally functional at best, and abusive at worst. But she only made it halfway back to the atelier before her legs gave out.

“Hye-Sung, please clean up your mistakes...”

“Yeah, yeah. Adrenaline ran out?” Hye-Sung slung her over the shoulder. “Or are you still not used to the nerve endings?”

“Unsurprisingly, that was literally my second orgasm after transitioning. You guys have a lot more sensitivity than I’m used to.”
