《Give me my lily pad back.》That interview could have gone better.

Blake Holsun gazed skyward with undisguised glee. (Meaning you could almost discern a hint of emotion on his face,) as the portal opened.
Cubic lattices of pure mana spread throughout the sky above the city, as an opening appeared revealing the perfect, beautiful, orderly world behind. As Blake practically howled in glee, holding aloft Form 265B (application for change of management to an order based administration, and submission of all resources, human/humanoid included to control of the lords of order.) He had won, and soon this world would change, one city at a time to true order. How could they not wish to convert upon seeing the majesty before them?
Before him was a pure silver grey room, and outside, perfectly arrayed was his dream. A perfect city, grey, orderly, identical, controlled. Nobody caused a mess or raised a fuss. (Of course hardly anything seemed to be moving, but that was even better. No movement meant no rebellion. They saved inefficient things like movement for when they were truly needed.)
At Blake’s side his advisor, co conspirator, and most useful pawn gazed upon the future, and he did not much like what he saw. He liked moving about, made something of a habit of it, and if he was completely honest he was getting rather sick of grey too.(Something he once would have considered to be an impossibility, but apparently it was not.)
But it was too late for regrets now, The Great Conjunction had begun, as all the planets aligned. The Duly Elected Administrators Of Order had already been invoked, from here what happened was completely out of their hands.
************************************************************************
IxIx the fathomable was in the bath when the portal opened. (Why a creature of perfect order would need to use a bathtub was a mystery for the ages, there was nary a hair out of place and dirt was physically incapable of clinging to her, but she had a bath on the schedule, so she was going to have a bloody bath.) Why did they always happen when she was in the damned bathroom?

She hastily wrapped a towel around herself, (of course it somehow managed to fall into perfect folds, cover everything, and even the one she wrapped round her hair didn’t slip a millimetre neatly coiling itself into a perfect bun.) muttering to herself too quietly for the mortals to hear.
“Hmmm there’s definitely not an invocation scheduled, this is most irregular,” she mumbled to herself. It could only either be a new supplication application, or another bloody sales call. (They always managed to get your details even if you erased yourself from the Akashic Pages they still figured it out. It was infuriating.)
Sure enough when she got to the main room there was a portal, had these mortals never heard of knocking? My goodness they had absolutely no manners. A mortal holding aloft a 265B application form, and it was the pink one, they’d really done their homework.
She reached out and plucked the application form from his hands, OK this looked promising, black ink, neatly written, all the I’s dotted and T’s crossed. Perfect punctuation. Yes it was outside regular office hours, but she was aware that conjunction related calls were extremely time sensitive, and rather sensitive to the whims of the cosmos. (Which was a constant source of irritation to her, why couldn’t the cosmos rearrange itself to fit the regular office hours? So annoying.)
So far things were looking good for this application, there were gods involved, that usually made for a tougher transition, but nothing she couldn’t handle. So she started to read.
“We the undersigned, (hereafter to be referred to as party A) being of sound mind hereby apply for consideration of a position of supplicant to The Realm Of Order LTD. We make this application knowing fully the requirements and limitations of this application. Freely choosing to apply for full underling status.”

“Well it is properly written, on the correct paper, with the correct ink. The wording is correct, and the forms have been approved for use by our organisation, let me just see what we have to work with.”
IxIx gazed down upon the world, and her brain instantly rejected what she was seeing. Spontaneous art? Splashes of colour everywhere, Were those horses flying about? Equines were definitely not approved under the “physics and you” regulations in the primer, yet they were flying round acting like pigeons. Yes what that one just did to the statue of a sweeping brush (why a sweeping brush of all things) was definitely pigeon esque behaviour.
Children were running round in what seemed like an unscheduled school trip, with an administrative staff member present. Did that cat just set fire to a building full of forms? IxIx tried to look away from the horror before her eyes, but some things are like a carriage wreck, you know it’s a disaster yet you cannot look away.
Just a moment was that a MONARCH? Now they had invasive species on top of everything else, and not just one, but two. Were they a breeding pair? The last things she wanted to deal with was an infestation of royals, exterminators charged a fortune for arranging the guillotines. Oh wonderful, a class two morphogenic violation, and two souls in a singular body. That was in one of aforementioned Monarch’s to make matters worse.
Was that an Owl-Bear too? Oh and those men in suits were definitely not appropriately attired. (Of course she didn’t realise that probably had a lot to do with their suits being repeatedly pelted with a multitudinous array of paints by irate citizens, such a thing was rather unthinkable to her. Cultural differences and all that.) Then there were a bunch of humans, and/or humanoids running around starting a riot over the flavour of beans? Seriously they wanted her to go to higher management with an application with this mess? With a quick,“we’ll be in touch” she slammed the portal shut.
