《Celestial Journey》56] - [Fleeting Dreams]

Plains passing by below in small patches, Alexander leisurely flew above the sparse clouds, the blue sky shining high above.
Glancing at it for a moment, he had only one thought.
'Do I have to assimilate the sky at some point? Just like the Heavenly Realm?'
Tossing such a thought to the back of his head, Alexander smiled.
'I can already see the city, the Cloud Immortal Realm is indeed much faster even in flight speed!'
Floating in place right above the city gates, Alexander thought about his sword.
'That sword, I will keep it as a memento but not really use it, after all it was only useful due to my [True Martial Sword Strike]. But now that I don't need this technique as much, I can actually use my favorite weapon.'
Taking his time, Alexander took a few hours to find an artifact refiner.
Entering this refiner's shop, he headed straight to a thin man in blue robes.
"Are you this place's best artifact refiner?"
About to hammer a piece of hot metal, the man froze, the hammer still held high. Turning his head around, the man in blue robes looked at Alexander, and as he was about to lash out, felt beads of cold sweat form.
'Strong!' Unsure of Alexander's cultivation base, the man was smart enough to avoid trouble when so easily seen.
"This young master, I am indeed the one you are looking for! I wonder what a little artifact refiner like me can do for young master?" Gently placing the hammer down on a nearby table, the man cupped his fists.
"I want you to forge me a weapon, here are the blueprints!" Tossing a bunch of papers at the man, drawings along instructions written on them, Alexander sat down on a chair at the entrance.
"Right away young master!" Not bothering with price for now, the man left his current work, starting the process for Alexander's weapon on the spot.
Waiting for a few days with patience, Alexander opened his previously closed eyes, a glimmer of anticipation present within.
"Young master! This lowly artifact refiner is done! I hope young master likes it." Handing over a long weapon, Alexander held it tightly.
If Alexander's giant body was compared to a two meters tall body, the weapon in hand would be around three and a half meters long.
The weapon, a poleaxe with obvious features present, had some specific adjustments.
Since aside from its regular head with a beautifully crafted axe blade, its design elegant, its top pike as if a deadly stinger, and a flat hammer backside having frequent yet small spikes on it, it also had almost all of its metal haft replaced with a sharp and sturdy blade. Only having enough space on it for two hands to comfortably hold the weapon at two different spots, one higher than the other.

And for even more means, Alexander had requested the bottom of it to possess very long, thick and resilient dark chains.
Smiling, Alexander, now outside, waved the poleaxe around, sending it flying while making it spin dreadfully using the flexible chains as a new handle.
"I wonder what tiers there are here, and where this poleaxe is situated in them?" Curiously probing genuine information from a certified artifact refiner, Alexander heard an interesting answer shortly after.
"Young master, this lowly one only knows of three! The Warrior-Tier, Celestial-Tier and Extreme-Tier! Each tier divided into five smaller grades, low, middle, high, perfected and supreme! As for which cultivation stages they each represent, the Warrior-Tier low grade is equivalent to the Mortality Shattering Realm, the one just above, the middle grade, is the major realm above, the Low-Warrior Realm. This goes on like this, your new poleaxe for example young master, is a Celestial-Tier high grade artifact, the best I could make! Its equivalent is the Grand Gravitational Realm."
Nodding, Alexander understood the system easily.
'Kind of the same as my Universe, since the grades are identical, but here each grade is, apparently, always a major realm of difference, which is completely insane! Some artifacts were as such in my Universe, with the Divine-Tier for example, but here it's always the case... But wait... one, two...'
'...ten, fifteen... Are there fifteen major realms?! Maybe not, but I must keep it in mind. And if that is the case, I am at the ninth major realm, which is not as high as I had hoped!' Frowning, Alexander had expected such a scenario, however hearing it was another story.
Forgetting about this problem, he turned back at the poleaxe.
"Beautiful! Well done!" Tossing some Cloud Essences at the blue robed man, Alexander ignored said man throwing himself at the misty currency.
"Thank you young master!!" Not enough time to plead any longer, the blue robed man had not realized Alexander to have already left.
Now back to the flat mountain he endured the tribulation at, Alexander looked at his new weapon with attention.
"I will name you Fleeting Dreams!"
Carefully placing it within his internal world, Alexander did not retrieve his hand, inspecting his internal world with wonder.
'My internal world has only Celestial Qi since I've already purged the rest, the lifeforms that were present before are no longer here though...'
'However, the most surprising part is still its structure, not only does it refine Celestial Qi with more ease, but every single bits of it has been strengthened considerably.'
'Still... my internal world shows no sign of anything remotely similar to Ascended Galla and the other two Origin-Tier Worlds. It just looks like a vast and vibrant world.' Remembering the three Origin-Tier Worlds Alexander visited and studied back when the Universe still existed, he could not get their structure out of his mind, worlds being used as Dantians a true wonder.

'If I reach the peak of the Celestial Realm, will I possess such an internal world?' Done questioning himself and theorizing about the Martial Dao, Alexander sat cross-legged in the middle of the flattened mountain.
Waving his arm, his space ring shone slightly, a thousand bottles of Tribulation Cloud Essence now opened around him.
Closing his eyes, Alexander started to cultivate diligently, an aura of peaceful wisdom emanating.
A large distance away, amidst an undulating plain of wavy greenery, a bunch of carriages were heading forward. Aside them, many guards could be sighted, some even reaching the Grand Gravitational Realm. The only man wearing different clothes and armor was at the forefront, his powerful cultivation at the Cloud Immortal Realm.
The group of carriages stopping from time to time as monsters and beasts attacked barely slowed their progress, the powerful grey haired Cloud Immortal Realm expert swiftly taking care of each, his black eyes reflecting the blood of Second Order Celestial Beasts. This middle aged expert turning around for a brief moment, his face changed expression before continuing forward, leading the carriages.
Inside the center-most carriage, behind pink curtains, two shadows could be seen.
"My lady, we will be arriving at our destination in a year or so." A childish female voice sounded, soon answered by an elegant voice.
"But it's too far! Why was I chosen for this?!" Throwing a tantrum, the older of the two females started pouting, glaring at her young servant.
"My lady, you must know that your lord father has used this opportunity just for you! It is an incredible chance for the young lady to experience the world!" Bowing gracefully, the servant did not seem bothered in the slightest.
"I don't care, what's so interesting about a bunch of lowly Bronze Sects being wiped out?! Our Delghnar Mansion can do the same!" Her arms crossed, the young lady kept pouting with resignation.
"My lady... please don't compare a region like Tuzim to our Delghnar Mansion. Let alone Iron Sects, even Silver Sects wouldn't dare offend us! I heard other servants talk about how your lord father is even feared by some Gold Sects' core disciples!"
"Hmph, of course that goes without saying! My father is a second stage Primordial Harmonization Realm powerhouse! I heard that only Gold Sects' sect masters could content with him!"
"But instead of telling me this, don't you have anything else to say?" Glancing at the servant, the young woman only had to wait for a few moments.
"Of course! My lady, your lord father has said that if you manage to complete this mission perfectly, he will give you a 'Blooming Pill', so that the young lady can breakthrough the Blooming Lotus Realm!"
Trembling, the young woman could not contend herself, letting her peak Cloud Immortal Realm cultivation base show, causing the leading soldier to frown.
'These pampered ladies are so noisy! What if they attract a Lotus Beast? While I doubt of their presence in Tuzim, we can't be too careful!' Kicking a pebble, the grey haired middle aged man did not slow down.
A year later, Alexander opened his eyes, silver irises shining.
Exploding in power, Alexander's second stage Cloud Immortal Realm cultivation base showed its impressive might.
'Now that my Celestial Core is fully formed, I can feel myself almost twice as strong as before, and I'm already just a step away from the third stage!'
Sighing, Alexander's mood soon darkened.
'But I will need a hundred thousand of these Tribulation Cloud Essences to breakthrough and reach the peak of the third stage...' Feeling his internal world, now within his Celestial Core, Alexander's wavy smile protruded.
'Around five hundred left... yeah that's no way near enough... I doubt I can even make a breakthrough with that... The Celestial Realm's cultivation system is, while easy, quite expensive!'
Planning on robbing more sects among a myriad of other places and people, Alexander frowned deeply.
Releasing his Divine Sense, he could only curse.
'Still too short! I can only use it in close range battles, and even then...' A Divine Sense being a monstrous advantage when used in combat was a true torture for Alexander, having lost most of this precious perk.
Blurring, Alexander's figure vanished from his spot, this same figure reappearing some distance away, now hidden behind bushes and the likes.
'Let's see... I can't be too prudent when it comes to this...' A legend during his time inside the Universe, Alexander had still started from the very bottom, forming and honing many useful skills and habits. So having felt his inside churn in alarm made him quick to respond.
And indeed, barely a moment later...
*Rustle*
"We're here!" Shouting, a grey haired middle aged man held his tightened fist in the air, indicating the many carriages behind to stop in place.
Feeling the middle aged man's aura, Alexander cursed inside his heart.
'I can't even tell his exact cultivation base! Is he a peak Cloud Immortal Realm cultivator '
'... Man... this is going to be a pain in the ass!' His mind shouting, Alexander was not sure how to proceed, somewhat unwilling to let this opportunity pass by.
'If I can kill them... wouldn't I become extremely rich?' Spotting a young lady in company of a servant, Alexander felt his heart clench.
'She looks like a rich lady! She must have so much Tribulation Cloud Essence on her person!' Gritting his teeth, Alexander memorized everyone's faces.

Necromancer and Co.

In it, all would be fair, and all gaps between races and technological advancements could be crossed with a single system that the gods had created. Every year, the gods would choose a new race to put in their land, and in this new group of beautifully unlucky people, Alen, his friends, and a few people from Earth have finally met their turn to be tossed into the playground of the gods. Unfortunately though, Alen was thrust into a forest of corpse-eating bears and horribly smelly undead on his first day, one of the many danger-zones of the continent the gods had chosen to throw them in. It would be easy to say that he simply died within the first day, or that he'd starved to death or whatever, but let's be honest... That story would be no fun to tell, yes?
