《Celestial Journey》14] - [Duality Within Longevity]

Waiting for the middle aged man to stand back up, Alexander looked at him with disdain.
'Little waste of space, trying to act nice now? Don't think I will let you go after pulling that shit off!'
Looking at their master's expression, the two could only look at one another with confusion.
'Why is master so angry? Back then, we went and acted just as bad!'
'Yet, not only did he not do anything, he even gave us such an opportunity!'
Krysfer and Sophia could only guess what was going on inside Alexander's mind.
What they did not know however, was of the duality within longevity. Alexander's reaction, while irrational, was perfectly normal.
Having lived for millions of years, he of course did not put Gregory's actions to heart, nor did he care. But like almost every remotely powerful cultivators within this Universe, Alexander was old. While he could be considered quite young for his cultivation base, he had still lived many, many years.
Experiencing so many things, along with the harsh path and mentality a cultivator must bear, being called bipolar would be an understatement.
Not only Sophia, Krysfer and Grand Elder Yong along his group, but also the many worlds Alexander had visited since waking up. All of them had simply been lucky Alexander was in a very good mood. But even with the help of the beautiful scenery of this world and the fun show that his students were, Alexander's mood was bound to fluctuate. The fate of this entire world depended on where his mentality lied at this point in time.
Would he, in a random burst of unreasonable rage, shatter this entire world into pieces?
Fortunately for everyone present however, Alexander's current mental state was only temporary.
Calming himself, Alexander took a deep breath.
It was not that he felt the need to stay kind, but that he simply was not in the mood for this, his mental state had just fluctuated slightly, as if a small eruption appeared, before disappearing just as soon.
By that time, Gregory had stood up, looking at the young man in front of him that, just a moment ago, was looking at him as if he was a corpse, he shivered.
'Is this man right in the head? One moment it looked like you wanted to erase my bloodline and the next you look at me like a stranger. What is going on here?!'
Gregory would, however, never obtain an answer to this question.
Regaining his bearings, Gregory cupped his fists at Alexander, not caring about the blood freely flowing from his nasal orifices.

"Sir! I am terribly sorry about my conduct, I was rash and overconfident!"
Hearing this, Alexander narrowed his eyes.
'I thought he would say something like I had eyes but-'
"I had eyes but failed to see! Sir please be magnanimous!"
Alexander almost choked on his thoughts. Looking weirdly at the middle aged man in front of him, he simply shook his head.
"Whatever, though I am curious as to why you would adventure here, even if you would be fine, your group would not."
Gregory was shocked to hear this, realizing that Alexander had immediately evaluated their battle prowess in a mere instant!
Of course Alexander would be aware of their battle prowess, with a just a glance he could tell how strong they were.
He could only shake his head however, as he saw that except for the middle aged man in front of him, the rest of them were weaker, some considerably weaker!
'The majority is either at the Qi Sensing Realm or the Qi Refining Realm, with a couple at the Foundation Establishment Realm...'
Looking once more at the man bleeding from his nose along the blood rain from above.
'And this one is the strongest at the Qi Master Realm.'
'Even then, they are weaker than their counterparts, since they are not actual cultivators...'
Hearing this question, Gregory did not hesitate.
"Sir! My name is Gregory and, behind me, is my group of warriors. We are here from the Demon Sealing City, trying to exterminate all of the stone demons!"
'Stone demons?' Not only Alexander, but also Krysfer and Sophia pondered.
'Is this the name of the weird humanoids made out of stone?'
"I see, then, did you find a way to do so?"
Gregory had a bright smile on his face.
"Of course sir! We just need to defeat the one behind all of this! The Stone Infester!"
"Well, since you look so confident, I suppose that this 'stone infester' as you guys call it, is, at best, capable of contending with you, Gregory?"
Gregory looked behind him, at his group, before locking his eyes ahead, far into the distance.
"To be honest I am not sure, I once had a life-and-death battle with it many years ago, and it indeed was at the same level as me back then! But now, I am not sure..."
Looking uncertain, Gregory was about to ask something when Alexander looked pensive for a bit. But soon, he looked back at him.
"You know what, if you are willing to teach my disciples for a few days, giving them your insights on life as well as martial arts, I don't mind sending an attack anywhere you want! All you will have to do is simply point where these stone demons are."

Not sure if he had heard correctly, Gregory looked at Alexander dumbfounded.
'Are you not a peerless expert? A great sage or even an unfathomable hermit? Why don't you teach them yourself instead?!'
Quickly realizing however, that, by teaching his disciples, not only would he get rid of at least a few stone demons without the need to move, but also have the possibility of witnessing Alexander's martial arts, giving him an opportunity at enlightenment, Gregory's greed showed within the luster of his eyes.
"Sir, it would be my honor!"
Nodding, Alexander pointed at the platform below their feet.
"You guys can do that here then."
Sitting back cross-legged, Alexander saw Gregory take care of his group before joining the duo along some of his warriors. He could tell that they were all Martial Grandmasters, the equivalent of the Foundation Establishment Realm!
-----
A few days later, Alexander opened his eyes. Gazing in front, he saw the duo exchanging pointers with the warriors.
'It should be enough, I don't want them to build bad habits.'
While this was a Tier-3 World, Alexander knew that the difference between this type of world, consisting of 'Qi wielding mortals' of sorts, and proper worlds filled with cultivators, he did not want his disciples to learn anything detailed from them. The basic knowledge of battle tactics and martial arts as well as mentality would be more than enough.
"Alright, this is good enough, now tell me, where are their hideout?"
The seated Gregory, currently talking with Sophia about the different uses of martial arts, turned his head right, before smiling slightly.
Standing up, he walked toward Alexander's figure.
"Sir, it is actually very close, can you see this mountain in the distance?" Pointing at the mountain right behind their current one, he saw Alexander nod his head.
"Then, right at the base of that mountain, there is a weird structure surrounded by countless stone demons! That would be the perfect spot!"
Not paying attention to Gregory anymore, Alexander released his Divine Sense in this direction, quickly confirming his target.
With his right hand itching and an evil smirk on his face, he flew a dozen meters above the stone platform, his eyes locked onto the distant location.
With his hands behind his back, Alexander stood there, afloat, his robes fluttering in the wind along his long silver hair. Secretly sending tendrils of invisible Qi into the cloudy sky, this same Qi quickly formed the shape of palm print within the clouds.
Once he felt satisfied with the shape, Alexander then extended his right arm forward leisurely, his relaxed hand's palm facing the ground below.
Like this, seconds passed, and as the group of warrior was wondering what was happening, Gregory along the duo could also not reign in their puzzled look.
'What is he doing?'
'It has already been a dozen or so seconds, yet nothing is-'
"Here!"
Hearing a shout from somewhere inside the group, everyone turned their eyes, locking on the middle aged man who shouted, interrupting their thoughts.
"What's wrong?! You almost scared me to death!" Slapping the back of the shouting man's head, an old man looked at him with bloodshot eyes.
'What if my heart stopped beating because of you?!'
"Wait, let him speak!" Crowned Fist Joshua looked at the man hugging the back of his head with tears.
Catching his breath, the man pointed at the clouds.
"Here! Can't you see that?!"
All of them adverting their eyes from the man, their gaze landed on a shocking scene.
With eyes bulging out of their sockets and mouth wide open for insects to enter freely, they witnessed, in silence, the scene unfolding in the distant sky.
A gargantuan palm print made out of clouds was falling at extreme speed toward the stone demons' hideout!
As if the majestic hand of god, the trail of clouds behind forming its forearm.
Seeing the palm of grey clouds that spanned hundreds of meters at least, Gregory fell on his butt, wondering if he was dreaming.
His question, however, did not stay unanswered this time, as the giant palm made contact with the ground below, causing earth shattering shockwaves to completely change the landscape in the process, as the earth all around looked like gigantic waves rippling across the ocean.
gigantic pieces of dirt and stone kept flying into the sky every time these same ripples reached their maximum heights.
As for the target of such a Heaven shaking mean, they were obviously obliterated!
Witnessing the mountain not being spared by the shockwaves, they saw another breathtaking sight as the entire mountain next to the target was sent flying in huge chunks of stone into the distance! Each pieces of stone landing hundreds of meters away!
As the world started to calm down, Alexander smiled happily.
This was another one of his favorite martial arts, [Heaven's Fall]!
