Chapter 2328: Prophecy! Heaven’s Destiny!
Translated by: Hypersheep325
Edited by: Michyrr
Luo Supreme’s final words made Wang Chong’s expression become unprecedentedly serious.
“Why?”
“Because the prophecy that man made was a prophecy concerning Heaven.
“Heaven’s life spans countless epochs, far longer than many people can imagine. Whenever Heaven executes his Purification plan, he will always encounter stiff resistance. Each time, many people will raise the flag of resistance against him. You and your Great Tang Empire are not the first, and won’t be the last,” Luo Supreme seriously said as he relayed those secretive matters he had heard those many years ago.
“That man belonged to a civilization of one of those epochs, but from what I have learned, that civilization wasn’t some particularly powerful empire. On the contrary, amongst all the factions and civilizations opposing Heaven, this was one of the weaker ones. From start to finish, they were never able to affect Heaven’s Purification plan very much. The only special one was that man.
“That man had pushed the art of divination to the apex. Different from what others imagined, while everyone else in that civilization did everything they could to bitterly struggle, hoping to preserve the last flame of civilization, that man had already predicted everything. He had seen the destruction of civilization and even seen his own end!
“Thus, he did not attempt any resistance. He found a snow mountain and built a crude hut for himself where he waited for Heaven.
“That was the last survivor of that civilization. Heaven had heard of his reputation, so he wanted to recruit him. Alas, he was refused.
“On that mountain, that man told Heaven the prophecy concerning him.”
Luo Supreme briefly paused.
Wang Chong said nothing, his expression growing increasingly focused. He knew that what Luo Supreme was about to say next would be closely linked to the present and to himself.
“That man told Heaven several prophecies. The first was that one day in the future, Heaven would encounter a disaster. He would fall into a trap and never be able to see the light of day.
“The second prophecy was that all of his loyal and capable subordinates who had followed him on his conquests would one day betray him or die.”
Wang Chong’s brow subtly twitched at these two prophecies.
Luo Supreme saw this, but he simply grinned.
“These two prophecies have both come true, so nothing needs to be said about them. But at the time, those of us who heard about them thought them outlandish. At the time, Heaven was brimming with confidence and vigor, at his proudest, so he didn’t care that much. On the contrary, he laughed and asked if there was any way of resolving that disaster so he could reemerge into the light of day.

“At that moment, that man spoke the third and final prophecy. He told Heaven that on the day he reemerged, someone would appear to end Heaven’s epoch-spanning life. He would represent the destroyed civilizations in killing Heaven. This man would be the one to end Heaven.
“No matter what methods Heaven employed or arts that he used, he would not be able to defeat that man. All of Heaven’s strategies would fail against that man. This was Heaven’s ultimate destiny, unchangeable and unalterable,” Luo Supreme sternly said.
“Ah?”
Wang Chong was struck dumb by these words.
He had never imagined that this was the secret Luo Supreme spoke of!
Heaven was incredibly powerful, so powerful as to make others despair. To call him the strongest man since ancient times was not at all excessive.
Did there really exist someone who could defeat Heaven?
All fell silent, even Luo Supreme lapsing into his memories after saying all this.
This rumor had been very actively talked about for a period of time, but it dwindled into nothing afterward, no one bringing it up. It was as if everyone had chosen to simply forget about it. But now that he thought back to it, this situation was abnormal. It was as if some invisible hand had wiped away everything.
More importantly, while those rumors had seemed absurd at the time, they certainly weren’t now. Heaven’s attitude had seemingly proved that these were not mere rumors.
“Did the prophecies mention anything else?” Wang Chong suddenly asked after a moment of silence. “If Heaven is so fearful of that prophecy, it should have had even more details, right?”
Heaven wasn’t an ordinary person, and he regarded himself as a god and was extremely ignorant. He would never have changed himself just because of the words of an ordinary person. That prophecy Luo Supreme had spoken of seemed to say a lot, but it was actually very ambiguous. It should not have influenced Heaven’s attitude that much.
“That is something we cannot know. After all, only Heaven and that deceased man know the exact details, and also the now-deceased Origin Immortal Lord.
“But I recall him mentioning something. Heaven possesses an extremely powerful magic treasure made of special materials. Apparently, it was the world core of the civilization that Heaven was born in. Heaven has always valued that treasure, never even showing it to us twelve Supremes. I have heard Heaven mention it only once before. That item is practically invincible, undamageable even by the destruction of the world and the explosion of the continent. Even Heaven himself could not destroy it,” Luo Supreme said.

Wang Chong’s eyes widened as he blurted out, “What is it?”
“The Celestial Palace!” Luo Supreme solemnly said.
Buzz!
Wang Chong trembled in shock.
He had heard the Sindhu High Priest speak of the Celestial Army, and he now heard Luo Supreme speak of the Celestial Palace, which was apparently Heaven’s strongest ritual tool.
For some reason, Wang Chong felt that the Celestial Army and Celestial Palace were related, and not simply because of their similar names.
The books of the Central Plains mentioned the Celestial Army and the Celestial Palace, but these were regarded by many as simply legends.
Yet this Luo Supreme had, several thousand years ago, been venerated as a god by the Turks. Wang Chong sensed that the Celestial Army and Celestial Palace mentioned by the books of the Central Plains could be linked to Heaven.
Luo Supreme continued to speak. “Heaven is not someone sentimentally attached to his things, and he has shared almost all his ultimate techniques and ritual tools with us. Only the Celestial Palace, as his personal ritual tool, has Heaven kept a secret. According to that man, there will be signs when the man who will end Heaven appears.
“When that man appears before Heaven, the first thing he will do is destroy Heaven’s personal ritual tool, that ‘Celestial Palace’ that not even Heaven himself can destroy!”
Luo Supreme’s words seemed to strike the floor, and they stirred up a storm in Wang Chong’s heart.
The Celestial Palace!
That term was too mysterious and was connected to too many myths and legends.
“So you mean that Heaven used the Celestial Palace in the capital of the Great Tang?” Wang Chong muttered.
“Yes!”
Luo Supreme was very direct with his reply.
“In addition, you’ve interacted with the Celestial Palace. Can you tell me what you discovered?”
Without hesitation, Wang Chong explained how Heaven had wiped all memories concerning him from the minds of everyone in the capital, and also how the people of the Wang Family Residence fell unconscious as soon as they were taken away from the capital and were growing weaker and weaker.
Luo Supreme had already learned some of this from his scouts, but for Grotto Heaven realm experts, Wang Chong’s direct observations and senses were clearly more detailed and useful.
“Yes, that should be it.
“Not only that, from what I understand of Heaven, the reason he has gone to such great lengths, coming to find me and gather all the Doomsday Insignias rather than directly kill you, might be that he suspects you to be the person spoken of in the prophecy. Heaven is extremely proud and is not someone to scurry away with his tail between his legs. He is only so cautious when it comes to his life and destiny.
“I was not certain about this, so I intentionally provoked him. I did not expect Heaven to react so intensely.
“I am not someone who believes in destiny, and I have only ever laughed about such things. However, this is different. Heaven had just created the Pantheon Pearl, and he should have been brimming with confidence. In normal circumstances, no one should have been able to defeat Heaven.
“But even though Heaven had the Pantheon Pearl, you still defeated him! This isn’t normal!”
Heaven was powerful, the supreme King of Gods!
But the powerful King of Gods had been forced to flee because of Wang Chong. Very rarely had this occurred over the previous tens of thousands of years.
Luo Supreme was certain that this youth had something special about him.
Wang Chong fell into deep thought.
After a period of silence, he suddenly said, “What is the Celestial Palace? How can I destroy it?”
“I have no means of answering you. Heaven has used this ritual tool very few times, so there is little information to be found about it. Moreover, it is very difficult to detect its energy. Did you sense anything while you were in the Great Tang capital?” Luo Supreme asked.
Wang Chong frowned and shook his head.
Wang Chong had also investigated the capital, but he had not found anything unusual besides the fact that all memories regarding him had been wiped away.
“I can’t help you very much with the Celestial Palace, but if you truly are the person spoken of in the prophecy, then you definitely will be able to destroy the Celestial Palace. Moreover…”
Luo Supreme paused, his eyes flitting over the Xuanyuan Sword and losing focus for a moment. He quickly came to his senses.
“Since the Origin Immortal Lord gave you the Xuanyuan Sword, I trust that he told you much more, including how to deal with this crisis.”
“Many thanks!”
Wang Chong felt somewhat disappointed. He had believed that he could get answers from Luo Supreme, but all he had learned was that Heaven had used some powerful ritual tool called the Celestial Palace in the capital of the Great Tang, nothing more. Luo Supreme offered no other solutions.
