Chapter 2645: Unstoppable Jump!
“Here’s my Cosmos Ring!”
Surrounded by the enemies, Long Yangjun quickly threw her Cosmos Ring at Li Yao. “Three minutes! I can buy three minutes for you at best! Make it fast!”
“Alright!”
Li Yao’s fingers moved deftly, and dozens of thin and weirdly-shaped maintenance tools rolled on his fingertips like liquid metal, enshrouding the two Cosmos Rings in silver light.
Repairing a Cosmos Ring would be a piece of cake if Li Yao had molecular-level scanning magic equipment. But in such a shabby and dangerous environment, he could only try his best now!
“Kill them!”
It seemed that Li Yao was right about the conflict of powers inside Wuying Qi. Wuying Qi did not attack or summon his Colossus. He simply instructed the experts who were possessed by him to attack.
The dozens of bald experts lunged at Li Yao like hungry wolves in bloody auras, trying to rob him of the Cosmos Rings, or at least to disrupt the emergency maintenance.
Their eyes had turned into springs of blood. While shrieking, they blatantly unleashed frantic brainwaves, which was a type of virus on the mental level.
Normal people would’ve been assimilated by them and degenerated into uncontrollable devils.
Regretfully, neither Li Yao nor Long Yangjun were normal people.
Li Yao had a mental devil and Mo Xuan’s heritage. He was highly adapted and immune to tenebrum energy.
Long Yangjun, on the other hand, as a successor of the Nuwa Clan, was a great controller of tenebrum energy herself.
“Tenebrum energy?”
Long Yangjun smiled and covered herself in a dazzling glass suit. She was holding a crystal whip in each hand, but the soft whips turned into sharp swords under the boost of her spiritual energy.
She was not affected by the tenebrum energy of the bald experts at all. Instead, she dashed among them agilely and went on a killing spree, cutting off their limbs and heads.
Brutal as the experts might have been, they could not fight anymore after they lost their heads or limbs.
“Such a power!”
Wuying Qi’s face changed as he sensed the energy around Long Yangjun that was more evil and chaotic than the spiritual energy. He said gloomily, “If you also cultivate the tenebrum energy, why are you stopping my plan?”
“Because you do not understand the true meaning of tenebrum energy!”

Long Yangjun crossed her arms, and her whips minced the last few bald experts into pieces. “It’s exactly because of guys like you, whose desires and ambitions expand infinitely because of the corruption of the tenebrum energy, that Pangu and mankind regarded tenebrum energy as a forbidden power and kept a distance from it!
“In order to introduce tenebrum energy into our civilization, I have to eradicate people like you first. Is there a problem?”
Long Yangjun squatted and stomped on the ground with her powerful legs before she threw herself at Wuying Qi in a streak of light.
The blood and the light collided a thousand times in only several seconds. It was impossible to see them clearly. The only indication of their collisions was the shocking cracks on the ground.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhh!”
On one of his knees not far away, Li Yao moved his hands so fast that their temperatures were almost a thousand degrees. He devoted his lifelong knowledge to the recovery of the rune arrays that were destroyed by Wuying Qi.
However, Wuying Qi’s method was quite tricky. He left two hibernating powers on the two Cosmos Rings, which were like sensitive crystal bombs and would destroy the retrieval mechanism of the Cosmos Rings if anything went wrong.
No matter how anxious Li Yao was, he had to control his shivering nerves and dismantle the bombs first.
Time went by. When Long Yangjun and Wuying Qi were separated, it felt that a year had passed.
However, it was actually only one minute in reality. Li Yao had just figured out the basics of Wuying Qi’s remaining power.
Long Yangjun was flung back into him, almost breaking the bones of both of them.
“Watch out!”
Li Yao protected the two Cosmos Rings instead of himself. They would have to surrender if they lost the last trump cards. “Didn’t you say that you can buy three minutes for me?”
“Didn’t you say that your plan would be easy and impeccable?”
Long Yangjun’s suit had fallen apart. Her suit was not a piece of magical equipment but part of her body. It was a natural exoskeleton that had sharp senses and high trafficability of spiritual energy. She was under a lot of pain now that it was broken.
She was almost vomiting her internal organs out. “Things did not turn out as I planned. What can I do? Why don’t we swap our roles? You can deal with the maddened Wuying Qi, and I can repair the Cosmos Rings!”

“There’s no need to argue. It’s all the same.”
Wuying Qi’s twisted and evil shadow that looked like burning blood emerged from the black fog again. His voice was lower and hoarser, like the whisper from the deepest level of hell. “You’re both going to die anyway, and so will everybody in the Empyreal Terminus Sector!”
As he spoke, the redness in his hair clambered and made his head red. The black nerves, which had been withered and broken, bulged again in devastating red.
Wuying Qi’s mental network was being repaired, sending out the craziest and uncontrollable power again.
Dozens of bald experts were slain by Long Yangjun, but more were coming and baring their fangs at Li Yao and Long Yangjun.
Zi! Zi! Zi! Zi! Zi! Zi!
With their brainwaves as the fuel, Wuying Qi launched his brainwaves together with the delirious tenebrum energy by using the Gold Crystal Pyramid again. The bloody bolt of lightning struck the sky at the sun!
…
In the space battlefield, the black spots on the sun had been dimming and freezing, but when they were boosted by the bloody light, a destructive chain reaction was restarted. The intensity of radiations and high-energy particles soared again!
The sun just now was like a black eye that was coldly staring at the universe.
The sun at this moment, however, was a black eye that had been broken, with blood splashing everywhere like a spring!
Many starships in the ace fleet of the four families had already used up their spiritual shields in the first place. They could not resist the intense solar storms and turned into intimidating incinerators. The fire licked every cabin through the aisles and burned up the Immortal Cultivators who were not crazy, who were crazy, and who were about to be crazy into ashes.
The starships whose spiritual shields were still minimally on weren’t any better. Solar radiations pierced into the crew members’ brains like invisible blades, churning their rationality and collapsing their mental defenses. Laughing crazily, they degenerated into Demonic Cultivators of the lowest level who knew nothing but destruction and slaughter!
After the consecutive strikes, it was impossible for the ace fleet of the four families to regain its combat ability.
However, it did not mean that the situation was in Li Yao’s favor, because Xiaoming, Wenwen, and the Fist King, as well as the spiritual puppets under their command, were being corrupted by the solar storm too.
Information lives were highly dependent on crystal processors and Spiritual Nexus in the first place. They were also prone to indiscriminate interference.
In the beginning, Wuying Qi was mainly attacking the brains of humans with the interferences boosted by the sun. Thanks to the optimization of their physical systems, Xiaoming, Wenwen, and the Fist King managed to resist the first solar storm.
However, now that Wuying Qi had gone mad, he was infuriating the sun without caring about anything and unleashing a storm that would destroy anything. Naturally, Xiaoming, Wenwen, and the Fist King can barely stay safe from it.
Zi! Zi! Zi! Zi! Zi! Zi!
Nothing but noises could be heard in the communication channel. Xiaoming and Wenwen, who were on the ground, lost touch with the Fist King who was in space. Also, they felt that they were being suffocated, as if they were in a room full of lethal gas!
“I’m very uncomfortable…”
Xiaoming struggled to say, “Our virtual nervous network is suffering a massive indiscriminate attack. Interaction is barely possible now. We’re now offline!”
“If it’s so bad for us when we are protected by the atmosphere, it will be even worse for Uncle Fist King.”
Wenwen said worriedly, “I wonder if he can keep the space gate under control.”
“Even if he can, it won’t help.”
Xiaoming said, “The solar storm is escalating. The environment in the Empyreal Terminus Sector is too complicated now. Jumping here is a dead end. Even the most glorious fleet will be capsized by the solar storm!”
The space gate was only a lighthouse, which could provide navigation, but if the tides were too strong, it would still be hard for a fleet to reach the port.
“We have to inform Boss Bai and General Lei and ask them to stop the jump.”
Wenwen said, “The starships and the crew will be in the weakest state after the jump. Unless the intensity of the solar storm is lowered by 30%, they won’t be able to resist it!”
“That’s impossible. The jump has already begun. I’ve detected unusual space ripples near the space gate.”
Xiaoming said, “The interferences are too powerful for us to send a message to Boss Bai and General Lei. They’re already here!”

I realized that far too late, so this story is... weird. It might be light at times, and dark at times, and in all honesty, definitely has dark undertones. Oh, and prepare to be disappointed or pleased by this story; I understand that this story is polarizing, at least. Cover made by: Fei (@Chippy03966650) / Twitter
