Chapter 1625: Ending – Snake’s Return

Seven years, Gu Mengmeng had been the Beast Deity for a whole seven years.

The Messenger of the Beast Deity whom she chose was much better than her in all aspects.

She had been very frank with her emotions and was not as hesitant as Gu Mengmeng. She had four partners and had really gained control over all three areas – water, land and air – becoming the first one among the three Messengers of the Beast Deity who had become partners with the ocean tribe.

However, no matter what, she could still not avoid the heartbreaking pain during the moment when the doors of time and space opened.

Gu Mengmeng stood behind her with both hands holding her shoulder. Gu Mengmeng’s eyes looked past her ears at the wide open door and said to her, “You have watched ‘Wolf Hubby’, so even without saying, you also know that… once you walk through this door now, then everything you have watched in the ‘drama’ during this period of time will become your memory. You and Auretin will lead the blissful life that he had prepared for you in that world, everything that you have experienced in the Beast World will disappear like dreams, instead…”

The girl smiled at Auretin with tears in her eyes and asked, “Are you afraid?”

Auretin shook his head gently and with determination, saying, “I am not afraid of anything for you. I have already said that I will become your unrivalled hero, how could I change my mind at the crucial moment?”

The girl produced a thick nasal sound of ‘Yeah’ and said, “After a thousand years, I will make crystal pork shoulder, duck neck in sauce, bear paw in savoury soup and roasted pig trotters.”

“Alright,” Auretin smiled with his raised mouth and said in a tragic and generous tone, “You have promised me, I am waiting to eat your crystal pork shoulder, duck neck in sauce, bear paw in savoury soup and roasted pig trotters.”

The door slowly closed. After a thousand days, Gu Mengmeng’s eyes still reddened upon witnessing this sight.

Until Auretin and the door disappeared together, the girl then suddenly jumped into Gu Mengmeng’s arms and bawled her lungs out.

She was not as resolute as she had imagined. Even though she knew that she would still meet Auretin after a thousand or more days, it was still heart aching for her to see Auretin split into pieces in front of her eyes.

Her clothes were held by the collar. Before the girl could react, she was already thrown away as though she had lost gravity.

Gu Mengmeng held her forehead. The depressing atmosphere had instantly dispersed because of this extremely dark face in front of her.

“Twomeng, it’s been a thousand years. Haven’t you become so bold? You knew that I am returning today, yet you are hugging someone else in front of me? Hmm?”

The dark faced person standing before her was not anyone else but Snake.

He felt really oppressed. He had spent the past thousand years muddle-headedly, and when he could finally meet her, what was the outcome? Not only did she not give him a hug and comfort him with her words of concern, she was hugging a dirty female who was covered in tears in front of him. Ha ha, did she really think that he was dead?!

If it was in the past, Gu Mengmeng might have rebutted Snake, but now.. She really does not want to oppose him. He has suffered enough and she cannot let him continue to suffer.

She jumped into Snake’s arms and rubbed her face on his chest, enjoying the coldness from his body. This was the feeling that she had previously been afraid of but now it is making her feel blessed.

“Ah Kel, welcome back, I really missed you…”

Snake straightened his back. The fury in him that was about to explode seemed to be extinguished instantly by a pail of cold water. After a sound of sizzling, there was only a wisp of smoke left and after the wind blew, it dispersed.
