He read it, grinned, and left.

Qiao Qing placed a piece of candy in his palm, “My brothers gave you a hard time again, didn’t they? Don’t think too much of it.”

Jun Yexuan could tell that despite how cool she always sounded, she really cared. He stared at the piece of candy and felt his eyes become damp. It was even harder for him to say anything more now.

He had always been a man who was good at knowing what to say to women. But after he met this straightforward and caring girl, all those words felt flat. All he wanted was to show her his softest side.

He was so glad that he acted so shamelessly in front of her. That was the only reason why he was getting a piece of candy that nobody else gets to eat.

They were each other’s savior.

He ripped open the package, shoved the candy into his mouth. Then, he grabbed Qiao Qing and kissed her.

Qi Yuyang ran over as well, “Sister, I want candy too! You gave one to that dog… I mean, you gave one to him. Do I not get one?!”

Qi Yunyan and Qi Yeli also stared at her with sadness.
