Dai Yixin saw Qiao Qing and froze, “Why are you here?!”

Lan Xu walked up to her and tried to connect with her boss, “Director Dai, you know her too?!”

Know her? Dai Yixin softly grunted as she looked at Qiao Qing, “Do you have business here at my company?”

Qiao Qing ignored her and tried to go in.

“Stop!” Dai Yixin turned around with a cold expression, “This is an international corporation. You are not an employee nor a celebrity. How can someone unrelated barge in here? You think this place is your backyard?!”

Her words made Qiao Qing’s fans appear angry. They exchanged glances.

However, they didn’t want to lose their jobs so they didn’t say anything.

Lan Xu was ecstatic. She was afraid of Qiao Qing would enter the company with that pretty face of hers. That would make Qiao Qing her biggest competition.

In the end, Qiao Qing offended their director right off the bat. God was on Lan Xu’s side!

Just then, a male voice arrived, “Who said she’s someone unrelated?!”

Dai Yixin and Lan Xu were startled as they watched Shen Jie walk up to Qiao Qing with a smile, “You are early. I was about to go greet you outside – in case you got lost.”

Dai Yixin glanced at Shen Jie, “You asked for her?”

Lan Xu’s heart rose to her throat. That person knew the director? Could it be that she really was entering the entertainment industry?!

Shen Jie looked back at Dai Yixin, “Director Dai, I don’t know why you are so angry. Qiao Qing is my new show’s original author and scriptwriter. To inspect and check on how production is going is more than normal.”

Dai Yixin once again froze. Unpleasantly, she glared at Qiao Qing, “So she’s a screenwriter. Why must she stay silent and only look angry? She’s asking for a misunderstanding.”

Lan Xu chimed in, “Exactly! A little screenwriter is trying to offend the director?!”

Now that she knew Qiao Qing was just a screenwriter, Lan Xu no longer worried.

She had nothing against Qiao Qing so there was no reason to start drama.

As the pair walked away, Shen Jie shook his head.

Then, he looked over to Qiao Qing, “I apologize. You must’ve had a bad experience just now. Some people let power get to their heads. But, what’s up between director Dai and you? It feels like she’s purposely targeting you.”
