Chapter 214: A Lesson

The voice sounded strangely familiar . Qiao Qing’s eyebrows twitched and she headed towards the source of the sound .

Inside a fake man-made lake, a girl was doing her best to keep her head above water . Her body moved up and down and it was obvious that she didn’t know how to swim .

By the side, there was a large crowd of people watching the show – some were watching with a cold expression, some were watching while crying . None of these people were holding a camera .

In other words, this wasn’t a scene .

Though the girl in the man-made lake had wet hair covering half of her face, Qiao Qing could tell that it was Lin Xiyan .

She jolted forward like an arrow and jumped into the lake .

By the time she dragged Lin Xiyan up to land, they were both soaking wet .

Only then did Qiao Qing see the costume Lin Xiyan was wearing . She gently got the hair out of Lin Xiyan’s face, “What happened? Who did this to you?”

Before Lin Xiyan could answer, a girl standing on the side dabbed at the tear on her face . She pointed at one of the actresses watching the show and said, “It’s Fu Siying! She kept on NGing . The director saw that Lin Xiyan and her have a similar silhouette so asked Xiyan to be her stunt woman for one scene . Xiyan’s scene was good after one try so the director praised her . Fu Siying was embarrassed so she pushed Xiyan down during her break . ”

The actress named Fu Siying darkened her expression .

“What are you talking about?! She’s the stupid one who slipped yet you’re blaming me for it?! Plus, I’m the lead actress for this film . Why would I find trouble with an extra?!”

The girl continued, “You asked your assistant to push her . I saw it with my own eyes!”

Lin Xiyang, “Lili…”

Fu Siying snickered and didn’t argue anymore, “Should I call you a good friend or a stupid one?”

“You’re complaining to a random girl for the sake of a person you’ve only known for a few days . Is that random girl going to help that little friend of yours?”

“Do you know who I am?! Not only am I the female lead for this project, but I’m also the daughter of one of the four powerful forces from the Capital City, the Fu family . I’m the little sister of Fu Xiuyu, the CEO of Xingchen Entertainment!”

Lin Xiyan and Zhang Li immediately appeared nervous .

Fu Siying then tried to get away to find the director . However, she felt her shoes getting hit . She slipped and with a loud “ahhh!”, she fell into the lake .

“Siying!”

Fu Siying’s assistant, Chen Xiaoya, ran around in a circle and shouted at the production workers, “Siying doesn’t know how to swim! Why aren’t you helping her!? Siying is a girl! If she gets hurt, none of you can get away!”

Just then, something hit her waist and she too fell into the lake with a thump .

Now, both of them were struggling in the water .

Only then did the workers realize what was happening . Quickly, they jumped into the water to help .

Zhang Li watched everything unfold and her jaw dropped in shock .

Lin Xiyan looked over to Qiao Qing dumbfoundedly . Her lips parted, “Qingqing, did you do that?”

Qiao Qing pursed her lips, “You’re scared to get fired?”

“NO!” Lin Xiyan’s head shook . Her small face was full of smiles, similar to a girl in love .

“Chen Xiaoya reminded me of that person who suddenly kneeled down last time at the Go Competition . Qingqing, you’re so cool!”

Qiao Qing, “…”

Just then, Fu Siying and Chen Xiaoya were dragged up to land by the workers .

The moment Fu Siying got on land, she went up to Qiao Qing in a fury, “Did you do that just now?! Speak!”
