《The Apple Grotto Nymph》Chapter 135

It was deer day today and all the children of the grotto were exited. On deer day, spring officially began. And more importantly, on deer day, each child received a present.
Claudia, Esmer and Crassus had gotten each child a present. Some got toys, other clothes and there was a group who got shoes. No one was forgotten. Not even the baby animals of the grotto.
Rip and Hiss’s murder muffins were born just on deer day, but even they had a present waiting for them. A new bed made of old sheets and a pillow. All the children crowded around the kittens and tried to pet them, but Hiss didn’t let them.
After more than one got scratched, the murder muffin family was relocated to Elmar’s house by the lake. Elmar didn’t mind, as he was leaving for the forest of plenty today.
He had everything packed and ready, and Luca had agreed to teleport them there. Going out of his house, he saw people waiting for him outside. Diana, Dereck and Lucius were a given, but he was surprised when he saw Theanore and Archibald.
“We came to say goodbye.” Said Theanore, and she extended a wrapped package towards Elmar. He noticed that his three companions had similar ones. He made to open it, but Theanore stopped him.
“This is for the road. Open it when you reach the forest of plenty. I hear it is dangerous there.” Said Theanore, and Archibald repeated the word dangerous to the best of his abilities.
“Thank you, Thea. Now you listen to Esmer and Crassus and stay away from a potential marriage. You are too little for one.” Said Elmar and he hugged the two children. Then, he turned to Luca.
“Ok, we can go now.” He said, and Luca nodded. He pulled out his core crystal and quickly of light, they were off. Theanore stared at the empty clearing, and then she headed back towards the celebration of deer day.

There were whole pigs on sticks roasting over an open fire, and the worker elves cut from the meat and gave it to the children. Sunflower herself was making pancakes and placing them in plates for the children to take.
The older children who could play instruments entertained the rest of the children, and numerous children were dancing. Archibald had the first dance with his big sister, which was a hug with a lot of swaying around.
Then it was Marinus’ turn and finally Cassius. Subsequently, Theanore sat down to feed Archibald and her. Crassus was giving away the presents and when he reached Archibald, he handed him a teddy bear. He squealed and hugged it to himself.
Then Crassus handed a nice new dress to Theanore, who immediately thanked her father by kissing him on the cheek.
“Thank you, father.” Said Theanore. Crassus nodded, and he lugged his big sack to the next child, who received a pleasant stuffed dolphin. And so, deer day ended with the happiness of children and a present for everyone.
But deer day wasn’t so happy for everyone. In the forest of plenty, Elmar and his companions had landed in a swamp. They were drenched and freezing, and they were trying to get to dry land but found nothing.
“The name is forest of plenty, not swamp of plenty. What is this?” Asked Dereck. The water reached his knees and he walked through the mud with effort.
“Well, it is the first day of spring. The snows had just melted. I am certain this place is not like this the rest of the year.” Said Diana, trying to placate her brother.
“You think so? Wait, I see a light over there.” Said Lucius, and he pointed to the east. There was indeed a light shimmering in the distance. The four ran as carefully as they could towards it to not fall in the water.

When they reached the light, they found it was a lamp over a sign. The sign read.
No Man’s Land. 1000 kilometers.
Fairy village. 700 kilometers.
Elven capital. 1980 kilometers.
The sign had different directions with the fairy village being to the northwest, No Man’s Land being in the southeast and the Elven capital being in the northeast.
They headed towards the northeast, wishing for horses or anything to carry them. When the sun set, they made camp at the side of the road and opened the presents that Theanore had given them.
In each package was bread that was still warm. They wondered why, but soon found that the cloth of the paper had a fire enchantment on it. They ate the soft bread slowly, savoring each bite. There was no telling when they would eat bread again.
The forest of plenty was massive and was officially Esmer’s territory, but there was the elven capital, the one and only settlement on the continent, that was by the shore and on the edge of the forest.
Elmar wondered if he could really find the teleportation ring in the capital. If he couldn’t, then he guessed he could always delve in the dungeon of illusions and look for the Naga and his elven lover.
But he had been warned by Esmer that if he entered her dungeon, he would be treated like any intruder. Seeing as there were no survivors ever to tell the tale of coming out of the dungeon of illusions, Elmar didn’t want to risk it.
They slept cuddled together for warmth as they had changed in their pajamas, so their clothes could dry. The next morning, they kept to the road. They had many kilometers to cover and no animals to help them. Suddenly, they regretted not asking Luca to come with them.
The road ended at lunch, and the four sat down on it and stared at the swamp that spanned before them. Something swam just where the road ended, and then it surfaced. It was a giant frog. It jumped to them, splashing them with water, and then spoke.
“What are you doing in my swamp, humans?”
Elmar wiped swamp water from his brow and frowned at the frog. He had been dry, darn it!

This story follows Auron, a man who has been plagued with vivid nightmares his entire life. While running away from a beating, a splitting headache causes him to fall to his knees. Once again his nightmares bleed into reality. The next "episode" he has brings him from the scene of his nightmare, to a posionous swamp. To make matters worse his memories from earth are fading, and these nightmares that plagued his childhood, filled with darkness and a red coocoon, are back and worse than ever. As he clings to the only memories he has left, he is forced to fight through a world of brutal blood thirsty monsters, dungeons, and a complex magic system governed by an ancient agreement. First time writing any sort of story. Everything is still a work in progress. As I improve on my writing I will go back and edit parts. Early chapters are subject to change as I grow my ability. I am going to try my best to write this world and improve as I go. My goal is to make my dream come to life through the medium of text. This is why I wanted to post it here. Feel free to comment, and bring constructive criticism. Hope you enjoy! More info (Spoiler warning): only read if you are picky, read a lot, and want to waste no time with a story you may not want read. This book is a litrpg. This means it contains stat tables, and other game elements. (Which you may gloss over if you would like) It is written in a fantasy world, in the style of a progression fantasy. The main character grows in power as the story plays out. My characters are written to my best ability, but you may find them immature. The MC has to adjust to fighting, and killing which he struggles with for a while. His partner is a magical salamander who is a friend and mentor. The world building, monsters, and descriptions are also low tier. (I am working hard to change that!) If you are okay reading something by someone who is just getting started then welcome! I am doing my best, and incrementally improving as I go.

A Fool's Journey, or the Vagrancies of a Man in Exotic Lands
What does a sad bastard do when fate, literally, decides to throw him into a fantasy world? Solon just wanted to lead a normal life; work, share some pizza with friends, work, play some videogames or read something, work, maybe sleep?, work... Pretty much the usual, rinse and repeat. It was far from perfect, but life was nicely boring and comfy enough. Truth be told, he had hoped it would go on forever, or until he got married, or until the apocalypse finally decided to bring an end to everything. As far as he could tell, though, the former was about as likely as the latter; not very. And perhaps even somewhat related, if it ever came to it. Unfortunately, he saw himself involved in some sort of cosmic fart that screwed him over, brutally severing his life-plan. Or, maybe, would it be more suitable to say that Fate had other plans? Sure, he's yet to find out exactly what those plans might be, but, at the very least, they do seem to involve him being shoved into another world, fighting off a couple of horrendous creepers, and -almost- an accidental liaison with a baboon. Needless to say, the job doesn't come with dental care, and death seems more likely than retirement... Yep, when he got yoinked out of Earth, there were no princesses waiting for him, no sexy goddesses, and no severe Gandalf-wannabes! Heck, not even a bunch of demonic cultists! All he got for the trouble was a bunch of snarky windows and the honest desire to punch whatever bastard happens to be behind the smug System. Well, that, and a few forced trips to the so-called Tower of Ascension. Not exactly what he would have expected but, on the plus side, he does get to do some magic. Though, not quite the wand-waving kind. Whatever. One thing’s patently clear, though, he’s certainly not the chosen one, nor the summoned hero, nor the Savior. If anything, he himself might be in need of some saving... Just what kind of fool does the System take him for? Please do consider the tags. Also, 'Strong Lead' here means weak to strong, over a decent amount of time, not op from the very beginning. Things to expect: decent grammar, cheeky goats. Things not to expect: Harems, a decent sense of fashion.

The Explorer's Guide
All seems lost to a lonely prisoner in supermax, everything seeming meaningless as he recovers from an internal injury caused by a rival gang. As he goes through life with low morale and a shattered liver, one day he is thrown into a conspiracy and dies at the hands of his own gang's ploy. But is death really the end for him? Will he ever find eternal peace and slumber or will he have to fight and struggle, just to be able to prevail? Under current heavy editing, as my writing has improved and I felt like the initial chapters just didn't make the cut. Additional tags: Psychological; Adventure; Drama. Author: Hello everyone, I don't expect a lot of people to read my story but if you do I sincerely thank you. English is not my first language, but do not take this as some kind of excuse as I will try to my very best to improve and make the story fluid in both grammar AND content. Disclaimer: This story is purely fictional any real events or people displayed are purely coincidental. I got the Image from google and I do not own it. A Sky of Star and Strength
Jake was just an intelligent kid living a pretty regular life in Mill Creek, Washington. Then the apocalypse happens. Now with his Dad out of the country and totally in yet out his element, this is his story. My take on a system apocalypse based around "life force" as a currency. The main character will have a special power (as will most of the other characters) and be rather OP, you have been warned. Like many of the authors on this site I have no formal writing experience so writing tips and grammar corrections are much appreciated :)
