*Humming, humming, humming*
It has been 2 days since the raccoon hunt. I’m currently cooking the last piece of raccoon meat. Alternating from strawberries and meat has meant that my supply of meat was dwindling slower. That also meant that there wasn’t much reason to go hunting, so I have been neglecting my leveling.
Still, I didn’t slack off completely. I did level up my resistance skills and trained my stats to compensate.
Thank you, Mr. Raccoon. You have filled me up for three days straight, although you have made me wish for more raccoon meat…
The meat is grilling right now, so I don’t have much to do. I've been more or less trying to remember songs, melodies, and soundtracks that I have previously learned. I did mention it, but looking through my memories, I realize that there are some holes in them. It’s mostly the trivial ones, but it is a bit sad to forget them.
Unfortunately, all the things I wish I could forget are etched so vividly in my memory, to my annoyance.
Fortunately, my memories of my parents, my happy memories, are still intact, so I’m ok with all of it. It’s comforting to know that I can remember the times we spent together…though it feels like I’m missing something. Maybe it’s just my imagination.
Well, whatever.
There is something that has troubled me recently. During my skill training, I noticed that my progress has declined a bit in these recent days. Most notably are my magic and resistance skills. Since they reached level 3, I haven’t been able to improve them ever since.
Stealth, Identify, Cooking and Holy Magic all went above level 3 just fine, so why can’t I get the others up? There isn’t any common trend among them. Maybe they will level up when I’m fighting, considering they are skills made for combat.
On that the topic of fighting, I think I should start looking for some kobolds soon.
That’s right, kobolds. I’ve been thinking of finding some kobolds to fight against. After the raccoon chase, I began worrying that the same thing would happen again, forcing me to rely on stealth attacks so it doesn’t just run away the moment it sees me.

This option won't be helpful with my need to have a proper fight. You can't learn how to fight if you never actually fight.
Those kobolds I fought seemed stupid enough to attack anything they see. Furthermore, they are weak enough to serve as a punching bag. I’m planning to find a group or even a gathering of kobolds for this exact reason.

Huh?
It broke through to level 4. Now that’s 5 skills I have above level 3, but what triggered it? I can’t sense anybody close nor can I see anyone. Weird.
-sniff-
Foods done.

Send shivers down my spine, body’s aching all the time~♫
It has been a few days since I made that decision.
I can’t tell how many days it has been, ‘cause I recently stopped counting them. The reason for that is that I got a bit lazy and annoyed that I couldn’t find any kobolds.
Hunger was a problem during the search, so I did some skill practice against rank F monsters like the wind raccoon or rank Gs. Still, this is all I have really done nowadays. After having a meal, whenever I’m hungry, I immediately went back to searching but it was kinda useless, ‘cause no kobolds. This forest is huge enough for a couple more kobolds, so where are they?
On the other hand, my random hunting of monsters has been fruitful.
I trained myself up to level 9 and a ton of my skills have leveled up. The fights themselves weren’t hard. All of them decided running away was a better idea, than trying to attack me, so in the end, I got much better at chasing, instead of fighting.
That still counts as a survival ability, right? I mean, I know how to navigate a forest now.

From all of this, I also got my first stat, besides Health and Mana, over 100. Agility being so high makes moving around this forest so much easier.
On a more positive note. I have become a month old! Surreal, right? I wouldn't have believed that it has been a month since my rebirth into another world if my status hadn't informed me about it.
It still feels like yesterday, that I was singing “Bohemian Rhapsody” so loudly, that my dad bellowed a louder version of it to make me stop. Imagine hearing “thunderbolt and lightning, very, very frightening me” thundering behind your room door, while your volume was on max. That frightened me!
Urgh, let’s do a different song…
Well, anyway, I gotta look for food now. There still hasn’t been a single kobold ever since I killed those two from back then. It makes me think that those two kobolds I met were just wandering into the forest or they just don’t have a village at all. They could be nomadic.
Sigh, this is isn’t getting me anywhere. At this point, some random E rank monsters would be easier to find. Thankfully, I haven’t met one yet.

Took you a while, nose.
Fire? Meat?
At any rate, I sense something in the direction of the smell. Could this be humans? It sounds a bit dangerous but I kinda am interested.
********************
Well, well, I found you guys at last.
The smell of smoke and cooked meat led me to a small gathering of kobolds. From the look of it, it seems they are celebrating the catch of the rank F monster [Spike Horn Doe].
It’s pretty lively. I would’ve loved to join but I guess it would become even livelier, in a bad way.
They are all gathered in one place, and from the information I got from identifying them, there seem to be five interesting ones. While the rest have varying amounts of power, ranging from weak to equal to the two kobolds, these five kobolds have a job! Their job is called "warrior". Those were probably the ones that hunted the doe, seeing as their levels and stats are equal to that of an F rank monster.
I’ll be heavily outnumbered against their 15 members, which means a frontal attack is too risky.
However, were I to take down a few of them before the fight starts, I could probably handle the rest. It would give me a good chance to fight the stronger ones, and if it starts to look bad for me, I could always just brute force myself out of the situation.
Low risks, high rewards.
Ok, time to start planning this all out and then execute it. Let’s have some kobold meat tonight!

What is going on with the leveling of this skill? It hasn’t been an hour since it reached level 5 and now it’s level 6?! Is it ‘cause of the high number of kobolds in this area? Well, I can’t complain about it *chuckle*.
