《Reaper of The Wizarding World》13th Birthday (II)

Not long after breakfast we hear a knock at the door, being closest to the door Sis gets off the couch and opens the door. Under the curious gazes from the table she opens the door revealing Mr. and Mrs. Granger with Hermione squeezed in between.
Auntie is the first to get up upon seeing Mrs. Granger followed by Ron, Harry, and I. "Wendell, Monica, I'm glad you came," Auntie says walking past Hermione who heads straight for us ignoring the parents.
"Good morning sleepy heads," She says with a grin as she steps past them to give me a hug.
"Happy birthday Soren."
"Thanks," I say hugging her back.
As she pulls away she gives Harry an odd look, "Why are there two snakes on your shoulders?"
I smile as I grab them off his shoulders, "They are mine, this is Gilg, and this is Enki. I forgot I didn't show you them last time."
Now it's my turn to receive an odd look, "How are you not a Slytherin?"
"You know, I know it's not but that feels racist," I hold Enki and Gilg against my chest defensively.
Hermione rolls her eyes as she turns to Theo, "It's nice to see you again Theodore."
He smiles back, "Likewise."
We all take seats around the dining room table since the adults are all in the living room, "When are your parents getting here?" I ask Ron.
He shrugs, "Probably soon, I did tell them 10."
"Is Ginny coming?" Harry asks causing me to look at him with raised brows.
Ron glares at me, "Yeah, she should be."
"Dumbledore said he invited someone on my behalf, I wonder who it is?"
"What is he inviting them for?" Hermione asks.
"I told him I wanted to bring my pets to Hogwarts and he said he has a friend who can help."
Hermione's eyes go wide, "Maybe it's Newt Scamander, I read a biography on Dumbledore that said they were great friends."

"The guy who wrote Fantastical Beasts and Where to Find them?"
Theo smirks at my words, "He is known for a lot more than just his book. He is said to be the only person with Dumbledore when the final duel against Grindlewald happened."
I nod interested in this new information, "He is also known for traveling the globe documenting nearly all known magical creatures."
Hearing another knock on the door I quickly get up since the adults seem too busy in their conversations. Opening the door I see Daphne with her house-elf Leila standing at the door.
Her face blushes as she gives a small curtsy, "Happy birthday Soren."
I smile as I move out of the way, "Thanks, come on in."
Daphne nods as she looks at her house-elf, "Leila, you can leave."
Leila gives me a scrupulous look before bowing her head, "Of course young mistress."
As Daphne walks past I grin, "Young Mistress."
Daphne blushes deeper as she heads straight towards Hermione. I roll my eyes as I'm about to close the door.
"Ah, Happy birthday Soren," I turn to see Authur Weasley with a raised arm and a grin. Behind him is basically his entire family even ones I've never met.
Holding the door wide I give them a small smile, "Hello Mr. Weasley, Mrs. Weasley, Fred, George, Ginny."
Molly pulls me into a hug, "Happy birthday Soren," she pulls away keeping her hands on my shoulder, "While I do appreciate you buying Ronald that wand, I do hope you won't do such things in the future."
"No promises," I say with a grin.
She sighs as she stands up putting her hand on my back, "Let me introduce you, this is my eldest son William, he is a curse breaker for Gringotts," she gestures to the tall, lanky, and fairly handsome one.
He smiles as he holds out a hand to shake, "It's nice to meet you, Soren, just call me Bill."

"Nice to meet you, Bill," I say while shaking his hand.
Molly gestures at the other one, "This is my second oldest son Charles, he is currently working as a dragon handler in Romania." Charles has a frame more similar to Arthur with wide shoulders but he is a bit more muscular and a bit more handsome.
He puts a hand out as well with a big grin, "Nice to meet you, Soren, I've heard you're taking good care of my brother."
I shrug while shaking his hand, " He isn't THAT much of a problem. Say, how do you feel about a job closer to home?"
His brows raise obviously interested and gives me a smirk, "Depends on what it is."
I gesture inside, "We can talk more inside."
He nods and follows me inside, I lead him out back to the large pen. Luar rushes to greet us as we get out back.
I smile as I pet her, "I want you to be the stable master for my pets."
His eyes narrow, "How many do you have?"
I stop stroking Luar's muzzle as I grab Gilg and Enki from Sin, "I also have these two, they will both get quite large. All three of them are quite well behaved, I also plan to get a Thestral as well."
Charlie rubs his chin as he looks at them, "What are they?"
I raise Gilg, "This one is Gilgamesh, he is an Imoogi."
"You have a pet dragon?" He says obviously a bit envious.
I grin as I raise Enki, "This is Enkidu, he is a Basilisk, hence the eye wraps. Then of course my unicorn Luar," I gesture at Luar who stands proudly.
"Do you plan on getting a larger pen?"
I nod, "I plan to move them when I eventually move into my own place. They are all obedient so I doubt they would run away even if given complete freedom."
His eyes narrow, "I've never seen creatures with so much intelligence in their eyes," he says stepping forward petting Luar's muzzle. Much to my surprise, Luar lowers her head letting him pet her.
He gives a kind smile as he leans down to Enki and Gilg softly stroking their heads, "Even these two young ones look to understand what we are saying. Dragons are smart creatures but they usually need to be at least five years old to show this much intelligence. Although I've never seen a basilisk, I have heard that they are very intelligent and are able to speak early in life."
He pauses as he looks up at me, "That is if you can understand them of course."
Hearing his words I look down at Enki, "Can you speak?" I ask to which Enki shakes his head.
Looking back at Charlie he is shocked, "You can speak parseltongue?"
I nod, "It isn't much of a secret, both Harry and I can."
His jaw drops, "There are TWO parselmouths at Hogwarts?! I'm so jealous."
His passionate tone causes me to smile, "Recently I've been looking into how to speak dracatounge."
A grin grows on Charlie's face, "If I could speak to dragons I would die happy."
"Oh yea, but about the job, it would only be a school year job. I will pay you one hundred galleons a month for the school year then ten galleons for the three summer months."
I can see he is surprised by the money, "Why would you pay me in the summer?"
I shrug, "You pay teachers in the summer don't you?"
He laughs a bit, "That's fair, when would the job be available?"
"At the start of the school year,"
He nods as he holds out a hand, "I'll take it."
I shake his hand firmly with a grin, "I look forward to working with you."

A Dungeon Tested
Its a hard life balancing all the things a successful dungeon should be doing. Will our newest addition to the dungeon race even survive let alone make it to the top where dungeons such as the megafauna roam? Or will our main character suffer in the dust till some inauspicious and ignoble death at the end of some F-rankers sword? Note this is me having some fun while I wait for new releases of dungeon stories. Feel free to comment on that basis. I will be keeping the first few chapters slow so as to give me plenty to build upon later. I have tentatively given this the gore tag for now. With that in mind "Let the games begin".

Points of Light - An Oral History of the Collapse
Humanity endures. The phrase is not only an informal slogan of the reformed United Nations, but a rallying cry the world over. Even in the face of extermination, we struggled, we fought, and we endured. But just how close did we actually come? In our darkest hour, how many steps separated our species from oblivion? And are we even safe now? Were the mistakes made by earlier generations really so obvious? Or are they only so blatent when we look back with the advantage of hindsight? If so, what horrors might be staring us in the face even now that no one has the foresight to prevent? Drawn from thousands of interviews, as well as uncorrupted contemporary recordings and source documentation dating back to the early 2000s; Points of Light is a definative look at the last half century of upheaval, prosperity and carnage. It tells the tale of what happened, how it happened, who was responsible and most importantly, what we might be able to do to prevent it from happening again. This is a rewrite of a previously started fiction under a pen-name. Chapters will be updated every two days at 6:00 EST.
