Choice 3. See if there is a healer in the village?
Tongue clicked in annoyance at another stab of pain, Gregor searched the streets for a sign, anything to let him know where he could find an apothecary, herbalist, or even a mystic. Although in all honesty, he would have preferred the attentions of a human physician to a mystic, and those bastards hacked off limbs or attached leeches to the skin.
Pausing only to push a distracted Lytan along, Gregor asked around the village, until he heard about someone, called, 'Mother Shael.' The white building he stopped in front of, a small house like the others with a domed roof, and a sign out in front that said, "Mother Shael's Apothecary," and right beneath it, "Gold only, no barter, and no Kazan I don't want any of your damned sheep."
Half chuckling to himself, he pushed open the round door, and headed inside. The heady scent of flowers, spices, and other strange smells thick in the air as he saw lines of tables and cupboards lined to either side, covered in all manner of dead insects, including a few pixies, cliks, and blooters. Dangerous things found in the swamps that latched onto the back, and drained people of blood. Hard to get rid of, and even harder to survive its poison.
Perusing each of the cupboards stuffed full of books, bottles, and tinctures that glowed with magical energy. He allowed Lytan to wander off as he studied the creatures pinned to the walls and dissected to show the innards. The drawings beneath, filled with detailed notes, and descriptions for each of the creatures, when a bulky orca in a thick grey dress made of dark wool waddled in through the open doorway at the back, and glowered at each one of them with hands on her hips.

Her face a thundercloud of fury, she stormed towards Lytan who was poking at a dead baby hob, its small pudgy features revealing razor-sharp teeth, and beady little eyes, and slapped his wrist. "Don't touch that."
Dark scowl shot back up at her, she ignored it as she whirled to face Gregor. The woman's face while not pleasant reminded him of an elderly grandmother with wrinkles around her cheeks, and a nasty temper. "Has no one ever told you it's rude to walk into someone's home unannounced?" Then flung up an arm just as quickly to cut him off, "No, don't bother telling me. Judging by the looks of you either fell down a mountainside for a very long time and don't have too much sense left. Or you're one of those layabout ruffians that have been harassing town. Either way I'll have none of that here, you hear me? The King's law rules here, and I'll call the guards if you cause any trouble for me."
Wait, what did she say about him falling down a mountain?
"I just need something for my wounds," he said.
Nose sniffing loudly at that, she asked, "you have gold?"
But before he had a chance to reply, she waddled away to one of the trestle tables that held potted plants, muttering about inconsistencies in the soil. Sara who was awake again, stared around the room with wonder, while Lytan nervously rubbed his arm.
The strange woman fiddled about the room, cut petals from flowers, crushed up insects, before returning to him with three bottles in her hand, and snapped, "Now listen here you, great big lummox. The blue ones are for the children, not for you. I'd write it down to be sure you don't get it all confused, but with all those knocks to the head, who could tell if there is anything left up there. As for you, I'd suggest drinking the red one immediately. Now be off with you. Shoo. I got work that needs to be done," and waved them out.

The old motherly orca completely forgot he hadn't paid her. And she was the one that said he had nothing up there.
(Leave 5 gold pieces outside her door.)
Dropping a handful of gold pieces on her doorstep, he knocked on the door, and walked away, while Lytan grinned up at him. The damn fool, probably thought that was the right thing to do, but Gregor had done it to keep the old woman from sending the guards after him.

A Collection of Tales
This is or rather will become a collection of short stories set in the worlds of The Misplaced Dungeon and Unexpected Consequences as I am finding it difficult to avoid including some amusing ideas that would sidetrack those stories. And now also include stories from the world of And Dungeon Makes Three. Unless otherwise stated these stories happen in the background and are here because they seem to want to get out. Updating will be irregular.

Rise of the Desolate Star
“The soul is a sword. The body its sheath. Adversity is the hammer, while courage is the anvil. Oh, and son? Your tears and snot, they’re just the sparks that chip away at the impurities, like dungflies off a sow’s arse.” - Kendric Farrow Ever since he could remember, young Skyle Farrow’s body and mind have been hammered relentlessly like red-hot steel against the anvil of adversity under the watchful eyes of his father. All the while, Skyle’s heart and soul have been nurtured by the enduring warmth of his loving mother. Skyle has always asked why a simple farmboy would have need for all manner of skills like hand-to-hand combat, wilderness tracking, archery, beast taming, geography, history, politics, and even embroidery! The one vital question remains unasked, however: just what are his parents preparing him for? The invasion of a demonic horde? The advent of an age of war and endless bloodshed? The dark legacy of an ancient mystical power? A desperate struggle to save the lives of those he holds dear? The end of the world? It is a good thing he never asked these questions, for the answer would have been yes - to all of them. Now Skyle must take his first steps beyond the sheltered world he has known. He has been raised strong, but is he strong enough? Welcome to a tale of friendship, love, loss and heartbreak. It chronicles the growth of a young boy into a legend whose path will shatter the very foundations of the world. Expect a rich, detailed world with vivid characters. Each will pursue their own complex agendas due to realistic motivations. The MC will be overpowered, not through liberal use of plot armor but rather the deliberate application of arduous training, clever thinking, and nurtured talent. Battles will be graphic, victories will be bittersweet, and defeat will not mean the end of the world - for time waits for no one and life goes on whether we like it or not. New chapters posted on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6 p.m EST, 10 p.m. GMT. The Systems of the Multiverse - A Guide for the Multiversal Traveler
The Systems of the Multiverse have their issues. I, an observer from outside the multiverse have made it into my mission to tell you, the multiversal traveler about those issues and dangers. This is a relatively low effort NaNoWriMo and Writhathon project. I want to test myself if I can manage 55k words in a month, likely updating every single day until the end. This story is told in the form of an in universe book. Well, I say story... While this definetly won't be great, I still hope it will be enjoyable. I do my best to avoid grammar mistakes and spelling issues, but won't promise anything. Corrections are welcome, this is also an excercise to improve my writing from a technical standpoint. Not from a worldbuilding and character standpoint however, for that you need time. Oh, the keyboards (and computers) that the observer destroys are not real and only exists in story to have an excuse to easily end this story at the end of NaNoWriMo. I also personally like reading LitRPG stories, so this isn't meant to hate them. It might come over that way, but many of those issues are simply fun to think about: what would really happen if the world is so, seen through a lease of negativity :-) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Den of Vipers
The Year is XXXX, and a deep, heavy fog sets in all over not just the planet, but the whole of the universe, sending all within into a deep, deep sleep. When they awake, all has changed, and both for the better and the worse. Everything has changed, from the new, impossibly massive planet that all now occupy to the terrain to the very rules of reality themselves. But what has changed the most are the people. It seemed as though Humanity was alone in the cosmos, but no longer, as new, monstrous races have been born from the flesh of those whom the Fog singled out. With the survivors rewarded for each altered former human they kill, along with each heroic (and villainous) act that they engage in, those who have changed are forced to run, hide, and try to fight back. But in a distant place, a single altered person stirs from her sleep as the Fog fades. With no Humans for hundreds of miles and a [Quest] that all other Altered share guiding her newly inhuman mind, the newly born serpentine but humanoid monster will have to fight for survival and dominance in a world hellbent on her death, with that violent, pathological hate coming not just from the remaining Humans.
