《Decide Your Fate Games - R.Malak》Scenario 2 Choice 1

Choice 1. Alert the guards about the slavers?
Almost questioning his own sanity for even bothering to waste more time on this, Gregor took a look around the quiet village. The fresh scent of manure and bales of hay thick in the air as wagon drivers trundled through the streets, dragged in by borels that were essentially green-scaled bears that had round white eyes, and fangs the size of daggers. Usually placid creatures, they had a fair degree of intelligence and were often treated as part of the family.
Head turned to follow one such wagon down the street, he saw the driver, a robust orc in tight-fitting breeches and shirt, drop down to speak with one of the guards. A tall, straight-backed soldier with long golden hair, fair blue eyes, and a clean red uniform that had medals on the collar that marked him as an officer.
The orc clearly agitated by something he had seen, wrung his hands in frustration. "Blasted hell! Surely there must be something you can do, soldier! This is the fourth time I've been stopped on the road. It's bad enough my wagons are attacked by goblins, but these bandits take most near everything I have, except for my sweet Shianti." The weathered orc making it clear that he was speaking about the borel as he rubbed her neck, and she nuzzled his chest.
Face a mask of patience drawn thin, the red uniformed officer shook his head, his blues eyes unable to hide his boredom as he spoke by recitation. "I am sorry, sir, but by order of the Grand Council, we cannot venture beyond the village. For your own safety and that of your loved ones, join one of the caravans that travel through here, and stay on the King's Road."

But if the answer was supposed to appease the blunt-nosed orc, it had the opposite effect with the driver throwing his hands up in the air. "By the blasted light and the accursed Lightbearer! We haven't seen a caravan in weeks! How long am I supposed to stay here waiting?! I ask you that! How long?!"
"I am sorry, sir, but there is nothing we can do."
Hands wrung dry in frustration, the orc jumped back on his cart, growled another oath about the uselessness of staying here, before heading off with a curse, the wagon's wheels bumping along the surface.
Close enough to hear the soldier sigh, and rub a hand to his temples, Gregor wondered if it would not be better to head to the inn, when the man looked up at him, and said, "Oh good, another outlander, that's just what I needed. What can I do for you?"
The disgruntled tone of his voice suggesting he would rather be anywhere else, but Gregor had more pressing concerns on his mind. "Guessing by that look on your face, I'd say you probably know about the slavers. Seems like there's a lot of problems in these parts."
Face crinkled up into a wry chuckle, the man shook his head. "If only you knew the half of it. I've had complaints from just about everyone here. The goblins have stolen my sheep. The pixies keep annoying the borels. The hobs are digging through the granaries. And on and on the list goes. You know I actually signed onto this post, because I thought it would be quiet. But now all I get is complaints."
Letting out another heavy sigh, the man scrubbed a hand through his long golden hair, before he met Gregor's gaze, and asked, "so what did you want, outlander?"

Lytan who seemed equally confused, drawing an eyebrow up, when Sara woke, the little girl, wriggling around to get a better look at the village as Gregor replied, "just that you have one less problem to deal with I suppose. The slavers are gone or what's left of them."
Blue eyes hardened into stone, the man's face darkened with worry, before he drew in closer to Gregor, and looked around to make sure no one was near them. "I'd suggest you leave, outlander, and as soon as you can. And don't mention this to anyone else, if you want to stay alive."
The soldier then looked around again, and hurried off with a warning glance in Gregor's direction as if afraid Gregor would follow him.
An odd fellow, if ever Gregor had met one, and yet the fear he had heard in the man's voice had seemed real. It made him wonder how deeply the Blood Rings were entrenched in Orkeylium? If so, perhaps it would be best if he left sooner than he had planned.

Of Frost and Steel
After being kicked out of home by her own parents, Emily found herself living in the house of an old woman while working as a plumber to help pay the bills. Her slightly unusual but still very normal life came to an abrupt end one day when an incoming car crashed into hers. When she next opened her eyes, she found no ambulance or hospital room waiting for her. What she found were instead the faces of beings much larger than her who were not entirely human, and the opportunity to live a new life, free of her old one. WARNING: This fiction is dedicated to a friend of mine who spent twelve years of her life hiding who she was because she feared the reaction of her family. For this reason it contains LGBT themes, although they won't be the sole or main focus of the story. The story contains sexual themes, but I will try to keep them to a minimum or make them "fade to black". Chapters will be around 1000 words long and without a fixed release schedule, for the moment.

Truck-kun Gets Sacrificed
Driscoll is my own version of a world with a game-like "system" of endless possibilities. MC has his own status, classes, skills, magic, and a living greatswordstaff in a world of monsters, demi-humans of all kinds, and even the supernatural. Sound good? Well, at first for Tru, it was a dream come true(I'm sorry). At least until reality hits him again and again. His quest from God is vague and must be discovered by him along the way. Hopefully, he can figure that out someday but for now, this new world's threats and his potential for power are motivation aplenty. With His new partner by his side, he's ready to embark on his mission of infinite sacrifice, however many lives it takes. The setting is pretty standard for fantasy, with my beginner attempts at writing. Litrpg elements are definitely involved here but It'll calm down as the story progresses and the world's foundation is laid. Judeo/Christian themes and principles take a major role and will be a backbone for much of the story. The fights will paint a picture in the mind rather than just be a bunch of number crunching. While he is meant to be a sacrifice to save all of Driscoll, he needs to gain enough power and influence to be a worthwhile sacrifice, or so he thinks. And so carnage will ensue as he avoids death as best he can while at the same time sacking himself for others. Truck Coon is your average determined, jiu-jitsu practitioner, tax associate that just started his new career. He dies to save kids from a semi-truck(Truck Coon got truck-kun'd, making him Truck-kun) and is transported to another world rather conventionally by God. Upon his arrival, he is quickly confronted with his first conflicts in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Chapters are currently between 2300 and 4000 words and I try to post weekly, but also deal with severe limitations that cause late posts often. I have zero actual experience with writing stories and only recently started reading web novels in 2020. If you end up hating it, let me know your thoughts in a detailed comment or review, especially if you love it though :D I want to get better and welcome the feedback, so expect changes to be made with any flaws that y'all point out which I don't already have plans to address in future chapters. That being said, keep it constructive in nature, please. I have no Idea how the formatting and such will go, so if you like or dislike some techniques I try, give me that well-appreciated feedback! Thank you for reading.

Polly and Drake
Drake has been searching for a job as a personal guard, but wherever he turns, he is kicked out without fail. It's not that he's terrible with weapons, or inattentive. It could be because of his obvious racial heritage. Or because of Polly. With his funds dwindling, the only remaining option is to become one of the Cursed: poor souls that work for the Dragoneye Guild. In other lands, they may be called adventurers, saviors or even heroes, but not in the White Desert. Here, they are shunned and ignored. Depraved people who forsook their humanity for money and fame. With this choice, Drake may not only fall from grace, but also become one of only a few thousands capable of unearthing the secrets of ancient times. If he could get this guardsman notion out of his head. May contain gore, violence, profanity and traumatising content. Taking another shoot at this writing business. I write for fun and when I have time. There is no plan. The story may change drastically from what it starts out - or not. We'll see what happens. Currently, I'm aiming for a Slice of Life with LitRPG elements at a later time.
