Free at last from the confines of the cage, you stare up into the night sky, feeling the brush of the wind against your skin, the cool breeze drying the sweat trickling down your back. And for a brief instant as you stand there in the starlight you are unsure what to do next, when the image of Ganrel appears within your mind's eye. The cowardly werewolf lounging easily inside the safety of his camp, laughing at you, mocking you with his golden eyes.
Fury and rage course through your veins like a red hot dagger, the need for vengeance coiling deep inside of you and while a part of you had come to peace with Ganrel's betrayal since that was something you might have done if you had been in his position...nonetheless, the betrayal had stung much more than you had liked to admit. You had let down your guard and Ganrel had pounced upon it, betraying you the instant an opportunity had presented itself. He would need to pay for that and pay dearly.
Your skills may suffice against Ganrel alone, but with his whole pack behind him, you would be cut down within an instant of reaching his camp. You could of course rely upon your magic, but much of your mana had already been drained away and there was still the chance you would come across Balgrum the Bold.
(Click here if you haven't learnt how to transfer your Lifeblood into mana.)
Spoiler: Spoiler
As your mulling over these thoughts, Daedalus gives a slight cough, "I hesitate to mention this to you now in your current state of mind, but you could use your own life force to power the spells. A somewhat risky business that could have unintended consequences, but quite useful." (You now have the ability to convert Health Points into mana. 5 Health points = 3 Mana.)

Using your own life force to power the spells could be dangerous, especially with the amount of magic required to both protect yourself and keep up a steady rein of attacks, but in the end would it really be worth it?
The anger that had been boiling up inside of you, slowly seeps out as you watch the stars glimmer to life in the sky and wonder if you were allowing your pride to hinder your judgement. The werewolves were no longer a threat to you, you could leave this place far behind and continue your journey towards Caldasher, there was no need to return and face them. If you traveled all night, you may even be able to reach the Nameless Islands to the north west.
But as your feet start to move in that direction and unbidden thought comes to you. What would happen to the werewolves once Balgrum discovered the sacrifice was missing? Would the giant bring his warriors down upon the werewolf camp in retribution? And what of Ceeren? She had not played a part in the deception, she was far too young to have known what would happen to you. Would she suffer as well?
You gnash your teeth in frustration at your indecision.
1. Do you return to the camp and try to ally yourself with the werewolves and find a way to lure out Balgrum?
2. Do you wait here and face Balgrum's minion alone and quite possibly battle Balgrum the Bold?
3. Do you head north west as you had intended and leave them all behind?
4. Do you return to the camp and call upon the Shadow Hunter to wreak your revenge on all the werewolves?(Quest Item Black Death Required.)
5. Do you return to the camp and call upon the Shadow Hunter to wreak your revenge, but only upon the adults?(Quest Item Black Death Required.)
6. Do you return to the camp and attack with your magic, slaying all in your path? (Mana cost 42)
7. Do you return to the camp and attack with your magic, slaying only the adults? (Mana cost 42)

Dungeon Devotee
Through all of Linaria, no dungeon holds such a grip on the dreams of men as the Eternal Depths. Hundreds throw themselves against its trials each day. Dozens survive, walking away with power and wealth beyond their wildest dreams… until they go back for more. One way or another, they all eventually feed the Depths. Edmund Montgomery Ahab has sworn to destroy it. Underleveled, undertrained, and underprepared, Edmund steps into the maw of the world’s greatest predator, a sword in his hand and vengeance on his mind. At first his task seems impossible, but with every level he earns, every piece of loot that drops, every secret he uncovers, and especially every bit of power he can squeeze from his mysterious connection to the Aspect of Madness, Edmund crawls closer to accomplishing that insurmountable feat. With nothing else to lose, Edmund has already given the Depths his life. All that remains to be seen is whether he takes the dungeon’s right back. Dungeon Devotee is an episodic serial. It will never be taken down for KU. Each chapter details a single floor of Edmund’s journey through the vast Eternal Depths, with all the levels and loot and lack of cliffhangers that entails. New chapters come out on the first of each month.
